This was very helpful, thanks! However, I'm struggling with whether or not I should be creating my ads using the Tik Tok app only...or if using another video app/editor and then uploading to Tik Tok is ok. Like, will it affect performance? If they need to be native, how do you incorporate those animated transitions (pattern interruptions) into the video using the Tik Tok app?

So how would tiktok work for home service professionals like roofers, hvac, plumbers, remodelers, etc? Would you recommend those same tips? What “secret” can they start the ad with as an example?

Absolutely Jonathan! For home services, the secret really could be anything like "did you know most roofing companies [cut this corner] or [make this mistake] and it ends up costing their customers $X or more?"

I am 8 months late but you can either have a landing page or website. Depends on your brand and your strategy. Most of the website platform, you are able to create landing pages as well (ex for black Friday sales). Again, its all on your strategy

Should do an update on this cause TikTok is now pushing images a lot

I tested ads on tiktok and they were directed only to bots even though my targeting was specified very accurately. yeah so the videos get 10K "views" every day but all are fake.

Do you need to have a large following to run ads?

growing a YT channel is hard. The fact he doesnt have a big YT audience says nothing about his knowledge on Tiktok ads.
