These are very nice! I have 10 of these work very well! I have them for about 4/5 months now. And haven't had any issues! I think the biggest flaw at this moment is that the automation rules will be in Chinese, which might be a struggle! Though the lamp app itself is in English. Thanks for the review!

I have reset the lamp (it blinks) but am unable to add it to Mi Home. I tried manually, and was able to connect to the Wifi of the lamp, but still Mi Home does not recognize it. What can I do?

You need to change region to China in the app settings. That's the only region which allows you to connect the lamp.

Do they have the same issues as the yeelights that can't connect for no particular reason or are the a safe buy?

Thanks for the review, but like the lamp (this is a *lamp* BTW, the 'bulb' is the round part of the lamp) the review has one major flaw. It doesn't tell us if or how the lamp integrates with other home automation. It's limited use having a lamp which only works with its own app if you already have an extensive Hue and/or SmartThings system with voice control through Google Home or Alexa. Does this work with ANY of those? We need to know.

I've heard from another KZread video that there are US versions that are 110v and 800lm. The 220-240v versions are lower in brightness

Dávid Kristóf no you don’t need a gateway .. I got 4 today .. I’m having trouble automating them, they don’t seem to work with Alexa or google home .. maybe yeelight will be better for an extra couple of dollars.

I recently bought one and I can't change the temperature as well. It is set only as warm light. I searched for it and the true global versions only have warm light can't change the color temperature.

To answer my own question, it does not support either Alexa or Google Assistant natively due to the fact that these bulbs only work with Xiaomi's Mainland China server. I've worked around this by installing Home Assistant (Hass.io) on a Raspberry Pi 2 and it acts as a bridge between these bulbs and Alexa. I can now turn them on and off, as well as set the brightness through Alexa. I have not figured out how to change the color temperature using voice commands. For that, I just change it through the Mi Home app. Not an issue for me as I stick with the same color temp and just choose different brightness levels.

I don't have Homekit so I pretty much don't have any use for homebridge. But my understanding is that, once you have integrated these bulbs into Home Assistant, you're halfway through. I just followed the steps in the link below. The brunt of the work was figuring out how to extract the security tokens from these bulbs. Hey Martijn, I have been watching your smartphone videos and have purchased some Xiaomi products. A Gateway, yeelights, human sensors, door sensor, switches and the Philips bulbs. Now I have had no issues installing any of the products except the Philips bulbs, I have 4, they did not do the final connect to the system and now do not follow the 5 times switch on / off protocol to reset. Any ideas. Thanks Andre.

Hi! Is it possible to set auto on and off time in mi app? For example bulb start lighting at 8pm and turn off ar 11pm? I saw timer and automation settings on Your screen, but i want to be sure :-)

you can do this via homeassistant, mi app is very limited. Im currently having Homeassistant with nodered working with these lights.

She has a strong pulsation, it is visible on video, it is harmful to eyes and nervous system.

Still cannot connect them with the Mi Home App, they time out, tried with China server, Russia, Greece, Egypt .. all the same

You must convert the mi home program to the Chinese town. Go to Profile, then Settings, then Region and choose Chinese or China and then save your changes and sign in again on app and try searching for device . I tried it and succeeded
