Everything you are about to see was filmed on a single day in the United States of America. July 4th, 2017.
Over 10,000 people submitted footage of a single day including 92 of our professional crews. They filmed across the country in all fifty states plus Puerto Rico and D.C. and captured a portrait of this country that is absolutely beautiful, challenging and unforgettable.
A very small selection of that footage you see here. The rest will be part of a documentary film (directed by Jared Leto) that is a companion piece to our brand new album.
The album. The film. The tour.
Coming soon.

CORRECTION: There is an incorrect lyric in the video. It should read "Blood lust AND a holy war" not "Blood lust IN a holy war." Shit happens when you're pulling all nighters and chasing deadlines. Because of our inability to fix this now that the video has been launched it will unfortunately live this way FOREVER. Hopefully people wont come to the shows for the next decade or two singing the wrong lyric but if they do we will always know why. Thx!
LYRICS:
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
CAN YOU EVEN SEE WHAT YOU’RE FIGHTING FOR?
BLOOD LUST AND A HOLY WAR
LISTEN UP, HEAR THE PATRIOT SHOUT
TIMES ARE CHANGING
IN THE END THE CHOICE WAS CLEAR
TAKE A SHOT IN THE FACE OF FEAR
FIST UP IN THE FIRING LINE
TIMES ARE CHANGING
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WALK ON WATER?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WIN THIS FIGHT TONIGHT?
(DO YOU BELIEVE?)
LOOK AT THE SKY SEE A DYING STAR
WHITE LIES, IT'S A MAN ON FIRE
MAKING LOVE WITH THE DEVIL HURTS
TIMES ARE CHANGING
A THIN LINE
THE WHOLE TRUTH
THE FAR RIGHT
THE LEFT VIEW
BREAKING ALL THOSE PROMISES MADE
TIMES ARE CHANGING
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WALK ON WATER?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WIN THIS FIGHT TONIGHT?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WALK ON WATER?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WIN THIS FIGHT TONIGHT?
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WALK ON WATER?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WIN THIS FIGHT TONIGHT?
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WALK ON WATER?
DO YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN WIN THIS FIGHT TONIGHT?
DO YOU BELIEVE?
WALK ON WATER
DO YOU BELIEVE?

I was adopted by my step father 2.9.2019. I was 17 years old. To make that happen I had to sit through several court hearings and face my biological father, who abused me for years. Every single time I had to appear in court I played this song while getting ready and on my way to the courthouse. It gave me the courage to take back my life from my abuser and demand the dignity I am owed as a human being.

So true. The lyrics really describe what society is going through.
man I am blown away right now. My cousin who just passed away, this was his favorite motivational song. We would sing it in the car all the time full blast. The only weird thing that occurred to me was I wasn't even searching for this video at all, just browsing. A video I was watching just finished and this song auto-played right after. All of a sudden it started playing, while I was also thinking if him just now. Totally shocked me. I know he is watching over me.

How was I to know? Yah, cuz I am pretty sure I already forgot. What if you had thoughts in your head put there by someone else or from watching Sponge Bob? Riding the Hasselhoff to Shell City? Not your thots or maybe mine but they are forwards in a backwards universe. To become re-introduced into back to rightful place of middle class middle of the USA. All because 2 people cheated - and for some stupid reason I thot it was me.
This song more than ever.

To all those hateful comments: I am as a person who loves and appreciates rock I can say this song is GREAT. Yes it has some pop vibes in it, SO WHAT? Just face it there will never be a band with the same old rock genre that was back then NEVER. So if u miss those songs just go and listen to them. But also understand that if Mars would come up with old rock n roll genre that was in 2000-2007 it would never be successful or appreciated. And so they had to do something new and they did it ,they did it perfectly. "TIMES ARE CHANGING" GUYS. SO DON'T STUCK IN OLD TIMES AND APPRECIATE NEW MARS ERA.

While I admire their subtlety, I think it's pretty clear that these musicians want the listener to take a side. They're outspoken environmentalists who support climate action and were highly active Dems during the 2008 Obama campaign. This song was released 8 months into Trump's presidency: " In the end, the *choice was clear* Take a shot in the face of fear *Fist up* in the firing line Times are changing . . . Look at the sky, *see a dying star* White lies, it's a man on fire Making love with the devil hurts Times are changing " Both sides may have a "holy war," patriots, liars, broken promises, etc, but only one side is trying to gaslight and deny reality wholesale. Climate denialism, the lost cause myth, biggest inauguration lies "no collusion," and now this rejection of reality has expanded to both the 2020 election and the pandemic. Walk On Water is an indictment of the backwards, Trump-era conservatism which obstructs civil rights and social progress.

@@falseprofit9801 and guess what, even if Trump never wins another election his influence will hang just as ot hangs in your own radical leftist words. The more extreme you get the more extreme resistance to it will be. And now abortion is getting banned in states despite demonrats assuming total control. And the third world countries that america keeps alive... You can kiss them all goodbye soon because its high time America shut itself in, pick apart and digest the corruption in itself, that means people like you.

@@falseprofit9801 and now imagine all the 18+ year olds who will have become wise to the democrat way of making empty promises and bribes of free shit. You wont have enough to even commit fraud to save a slim minority. And people will know, people will get caught, people will snitch, people will die. Overplayed your hand again only this time it costs you a lot more than an election. Its going to likely coat your soul and whatever soul the demonrat party ever had.

You know.... I heard this song frequently back in 2016 or 2017. Then, with passage of time, new songs came, and old songs faded from my favourite song list. But in recent past, I wanted to hear this song again. But for some reason, I couldn't remember this song's title. Today, I was just watching a ticket video in KZread to pass the time. As I was watching the video, the commentator suddenly used the words "Walk on Water" which suddenly prompted this song in my mind. And I'm very happy that I could listen this song again after seven years. I don't know how to describe this feeling. Cheers to everyone!!!

Absolutely addicted to this song. On top of the wicked beat, the lyrics are hella compelling!

Bands HAVE to change, if a band were to just put out the same thing every album, it would be boring. Why does everyone have to put labels on music, it's music, it sounds awesome, the lyrics are so important, and it's a great song! I listen to every "genre" of music, from all the way back in the 40s to current music. I get some people just don't like certain kinds of music, but, to me, that just limits a person's knowledge of and exposure to ALOT of amazing music. The differences in this world are what make it beautiful, if everything were the same, imagine how absolutely dull and depressing life would be! Musicians evolve, people in general evolve, if you can't hear the beauty of music because of your choice to only like one sound, one kind of music, then just don't listen, go listen to the same 5 songs you do like and leave the close minded, "I can only handle one genre of music in my life" comments in your head, or share it with your like minded friends. There is far too much negativity in this world already, can we please leave music out of it, music is my escape from that negativity, and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. Unfortunately, it seems most of the time, the only people who feel they HAVE to comment, are negative, hateful, or just plain uneducated! I'm very happy to see at least some of us Positive, OPEN MINDED fans leaving comments too, because truly, we need more positivity, and less hate and negativity in all aspects of life, especially music! Love the song, love the video, cannot wait to hear more, cannot wait to hear more NEW styles of music from 30STM on this album as well, because unlike some people, I embrace and enjoy change and variety. I have an open mind and can hear music without having to label it and stick a band in a specific category. The reason I have always been a huge fan of 30STM is because they have ALWAYS experimented with different sounds, if you haven't or just don't want to admit that, that's fine, that's YOUR opinion, but if your opinion is negative, why not just tell a friend who agrees, and leave it be, don't listen to their music anymore, don't go to their shows, more seats available for REAL fans, and the new ones they will surely be gaining as well. 😊 To those who feel the same as me, thank you for helping spread positivity, for allowing yourself to be open minded, and taking the time to comment. We need to start spreading love and not hate as much as we can, because the people who are always commenting seem to not be able to control themselves and just move on if they don't like something! So, I'm trying to counteract the issue that's been going on in comments sections all over the internet, and leave positive comments, even if I don't particularly like something about a song, for example, there's ALWAYS at least one positive thing you can say, instead of negative, am I right? Sorry for the long comment, but I am just so tired of feeling like I have to stay off the internet because people have to be so negative, hateful, and close minded. Just open your mind, think a little bit, and instead of just commenting that "this sucks", or even worse being hateful, find the beauty in one frame of the video...for example, in this video, regardless of whether you like the sound or message, the images and videos of people celebrating, or not celebrating on the same day, all around the world is absolutely beautiful, and anyone who can't see the beauty in at least THAT, I feel very sorry for them, it must be miserable to have so much hate, negativity, and inability to see beauty in art. I just truly hope they can take a moment and THINK before putting negativity that is beyond unnecessary all over the internet, and I'm sure throughout their days in their lives. The world is a beautiful place and we should enjoy it while it's still here to enjoy! Please, for those of you who understand, spread the positivity, if you have time, say one positive thing to as many negative comments as you can, even if it's just one, because maybe, just maybe, that one positive comment could change a negative person's mind, and at the very least make them stop and THINK. It may not change their views, but it doesn't hurt to spread love, positivity, beauty, art, peace, and take notice of how beautiful the world is BECAUSE of all of the DIFFERENCES IN ALL OF US! Much Love, Respect, and POSITIVITY to my fellow Open Minded fans/friends! As for the negative people commenting, much love, peace, and hopes of your lives gaining some positivity. Thank you to those who took the time to read this entire comment, and understand the point I'm trying to make here, and I am completely open to discussing it further, in any aspect, as long as it's not negative. (Curiosity, questions with substance, yes...negativity, and questions that are asked just to try to cause an argument will be reported.) 💜✌💜
I’m not saying I don’t like Jared Leto as an actor, but I LOVE him more as a singer.
The best solution when you're angry or sad, it's listen to your favorite music
People, have you paid attention to the deep meaning of this song? Anything is possible! even walk on water, it's just a matter of determination! And for the video and the scenes shown, you can see the greatness of the USA but also the things that need to change! The lyrics and the video melts so perfectly! Love love this guys, always sending a strong message with amazing music and videos!

This song came out when I was a kid and I loved it but it was taken off Apple Music for a time and I forgot about it. Now, in 2024, I feel like this song has relevance in so many different contexts and I’m so happy I found it again. ❤

It's so funny that everyone is complaining about the change. Yes, they have changed, but not now, like years ago. I remember when a lot of fans were mad, because This Is War was different. I remember how many people were angry because LLFD was different too. DEAL WITH IT. People change, so do bands and their music. P.S: I love this song, can't stop listening to it.

Hi lizandra
I love seeing my favorite bands evolve. You're watching them grow before your eyes. Same thing with AFI. So many people want a band to stay exactly the same as they were 10 years ago, but if they want to stay relevant they need to adapt. You don't have to like everything they make, but if you really love a band you need to respect the fact that they will change.

Alex J , it's not selling out. If 30 seconds or any other band were to constantly write and play the same sounding music, you would tire of it. Play any song, ANY, on a constant loop and you will live to hate it. There are only so many possibilities when writing a song to have the same heavy guitar and drums. It's just not plausible to sustain a successful writer/listener relationship if you play the same thing all the time. Band members themselves get tired of playing the same old stuff. They'll tell you that they actually yearn for something different, hence the evolution. I can't imagine performing Capricorn or 93 mil miles day in and day out. Monotony at its best. The music has to be different or you stay stuck.
@ElizaArcher

Kat Is not about staying relevant... or selling out. they do what they like in the present, they do what motivates them and that is IT. they don't have to put out anything they don't want to. they own us nothing.

Well, if they can make it to Mars within 30 seconds they'll probably be able to walk on water too
