Thirst for Life: Kivsharivka's residents about occupation, patriotism, and the future | Gwara Media

Kivsharivka was under occupation for half a year. Throughout this time, the residents were waiting for the Ukrainian flag to once again fly over the village. The Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated Kivsharivka on September 28th, but the village has been under constant Russian shelling since then. Despite this, life goes on. Many people have left, but there are those who have stayed, working in the store, volunteering, or even taking on roles in the school where they once studied.

This is quite emotional because the people have had to endure so much, and I suspect that that disturbance in their lives will not end when the last Russian leaves the occupied territory. It is the story of communities ripped open by an invasion, and how different people there reacted to the occupation and after it. Well done.
