The WHW badge you called a „Wolf with a hat“ in the end of the video refers to the old German fairytale „Der gestiefelte Kater“ (The tomcat with boots on) by the Brothers Grimm.

We have it similar in Dutch. De Gelaarsde kat.

@@harryraam9566 Bedankt. That‘s interesting. As far as I remember the Grimm Brothers didn‘t write the tales but collected them. Maybe Der gestiefelte Kater has its origin in the Netherlands. Greetings
The WHW badges are "WinterHilfsWerk" badges. It was a scheme organising clothing and food for troops and civilians during the war. The different metals were a way of knowing how much you had donated and how much more or less than your comrades or neighbours had given. Gold is more than silver while bronze is the lesser one. It could be seen as a matter of pride or bragging.
5:15 It says "Messertuch" which is a cleaning cloth for a knife. The letter "long S or ſ was a form of the lowercase letter "s" back in the day in germany.

And for all those who think "why does anyone need a towel for knives". In the past knives where mostly made out of normal steel, not stainless steel. So cleaning them could cause the towel to turn brown of the rust and you dont want to clean the rest of your dishes with this towel :)

Wow, neat finds. How do you divide the finds?
Watching this turns me into a jealous child at a toy store, "I wanna be there, i want that!" Insert pouty emoji. Seriously lads, you're living my dream! Cheers from Canada!
It’s so fascinating all of the WHW badges you lads found! Keep up the awesome work you’re doing. 👍😊
Hi guys, pretty cool finds. The small soldiers and artillery guns made out of plastic are WHW items. The bigger metal soldier figures are home casted toy figures. The company Schneider from Dresden made the moulds they are casted with.

At about 10:20 into this video the drone shot shows what is now peaceful bush and forest but in WW2 this area could have been one of many “hells on earth” at that time. Lets not forget 😢 (... but keep the great videos coming 😊)
Inserting actual pictures of the various artifacts being found certainly helps one to envision that item, thanks!🇺🇸
That WHW badge with Reichenberg. In present, it is a Czech city of Liberec near borders with Poland and Germany.
I love watching you guys! Your very fortunate to have ground that rich in historical artifacts! I love metal detecting! But unfortunately where i live in norh west Pennsylvania, not much to find other than nails and old plow points lol!!!id kill just to find a coin of sorts!!! But awesome finds!!!!!

I got a metal detector and maybe an hour away there’s a civil war or World War II battleground that I want to check out. Never had the chance but maybe this summer I can try
I didn't even know these items existed, so thank you!🇺🇸
15:22 Op de badge is geen wolf afgebeeld, maar een kater uit het sprookje "Puss in Boots" van de gebroeders Grimm

I wonder if the cavalry, artillery and soldier items might have been used to make sand tables for briefing troops on an upcoming operation.

Are you sure those things are badges? To me they seem like game pieces... also the ovale enamel sign reads Messertuch - a towel for drying knives - definately cantine/kitchen things. Seem like you found some sort of recreational compound area...
Brilliant finds lads! 👍 Well done & thanks for sharing your adventure!
"knife cloth" separate cloth for cleaning the razor from foam and whiskers..
I've been passionate about everything related to WW and this channel is a precious gem when it comes to this stuff. Keep up the great content! :D

Hello. I have been watching your guys videos for a long time and have enjoyed watching your videos and seeing all the cool and military memorabilia items you find. My friend and I in August are going to actually be coming to Germany and since you guys know the areas so well and know where to look we were wondering if we could join you on one of your hunts? I look forward to your reply and wish you good luck in your findings.
Muito bom, belos achados!!
Is it only me who wonders how after all the digging made and finding all these stuff, they never found any bones from all the millions of soldiers who died on battlefield. What happened to those soldiers and those bodies. Just curious
Awesome finds. Very interesting stuff 👍🍻✌
The one that was similar to the one that said "handtuch" or towel says "messertuch" so some sort of towel for a knife
I would love to know what the little figures were all about! In my head i thought it could be a figure to plan invasions. Back in the day they always had these like chess boards, where they moved figures from there to there, to learn more about the best strategy to start a attack. Maybe im right, maybe im wrong... Anyone knows more than me?
in ww1 they used horses to move their artillery!!
The amount of bones you were finding, truly amazing
13:31 Who else just suddenly got hungry and made themselves some spaghetti-os 😆
you are living my dream. thanks, from America

That goulash looks really good. We have an international grocery store where I live. I am going to look for that
Schöne Funde, Glückwunsch
Nice vidéo 😁👍👍
А как там оказались такие медали, вы так и необьяснили🤔
I just have to ask... Why are you finding so many pins and badges in that small(ish) area? Were they removing them from their uniforms? Was it a trash dump area and the pins are broken? It just seems like a lot to me...
Excellent video!! Always enjoy your content
