    @@SjofnBM1989 Actually. there was a series of scooby doo called the 13 ghosts of scooby doo with shaggy scooby scrappy and other characters, hence why its so ironic that he did this movie. Also there was many renditions of ghosts in scooby doo tv-series/movies. And Matthew has actually voiced shaggy for many years now so it's still appropriate, especially as he did voice shaggy in the sequel cartoon movie curse of the 13th ghost. just a few fun facts for ya

  • @jasonabernethy99
    @jasonabernethy992 жыл бұрын

    One thing that did stick with me was that Dennis does technically sacrifice himself for Arthur, and since Kalina is trying to get Arthur to kill himself for the ritual maybe it doesn't necessarily need to be a true love sacrifice, I think that Dennis became the 13th and Arthur accidentally used the machine to see when it would be safe to jump to his kids,

  • @mariawhite7337

    @mariawhite7337

    2 жыл бұрын

    The key thing to note is that the 13th is needed to 'stop' the machine. I think it is actually to fully activate the machine. Since suicide, you know. Kinda bad by a lot of religions. They were lying about his sacrifice stopping the machine. Why would they actually NEED him to kill himself? It's described that the machine is to open up the eye of hell, so it makes sense that the last one would be a soul that is required to be sent directly to hell. Thus OPENING the eye of hell.

  • @SammieB0007

    @SammieB0007

    This is a fantastic idea but I think it couldn't be that just because if it was that he was the 13th having sacrificed himself the eye of hell would have opened with the ritual without the need of Arthur to make the jump giving Cyrus immortality

I've done that in several upscale hotels while on vacation even though my house has a bathroom that people take pictures of -- with a rain shower, a bench and pebbles for tile. Loved and STILL love this movie. My only complaint is the oldest daughter - she looks like she's at least 25 not 17 in the flick so had to look over that. it's because of too much lore that the movie is ultimately not as complete as it could be. Backstory and lore are great and all, but too much of it without proper presentation through the film is ultimately just window dressing that takes away from it, because it'll end up feeling like it could have been more(or was "planned" to get more) but now is completely unfinished in scope.

    I absolutely LOVE this movie. I must have watched this with my 2 closest girlfriends probably 100+ times. I remember the first time we saw it too. We were at a house party and there were sooo many people all over the place, but in the living room there were like 15 or so of us passing around a few blunts and watching a documentary about ants on the discovery channel. The guy throwing the party’s mom rented movies from blockbuster before she left the house for the weekend, 13 ghosts being one of them. So there were so many of us sitting all over the place, the couch, the floor, on each others laps etc all stoned with the volume way up to drown out the sound of music and beer pong in the other room. I just remember everyone being so hyper focused on this movie and completely engaged. Not the most normal experience for a house party, but both the ant documentary and the movie complemented our high so perfectly that we all just got sucked in. Good times
