My dad has these and he absolutely loves them!!!! He shows them off, he has a corporate job and always uses his phone so his glasses are right there! Highly recommend. He's had his for almost a year I believe might be a bit longer
The lenses are soft plastic and gets scratched from coming in and out of the case.
Hey James, I saw on one of your reviews a couple of days ago a brief mention of ThinOptics and really liked the idea of them for when I'm away and don't always have to carry/wear my reading glasses which I only need for the PC or reading. I received them today from Amazon and really impressed with them. I also got the credit card size case, which fits in my wallet nicely. Thanks for introducing me to them and always enjoy watching your reviews.
I totally recommend these glasses to anyone just based on customer service alone.i originally bought these about a year ago and carry them with me on my phone daily , the one complaint i have about these glasses is that the nose pads are not very good quality and hopefully they are working on correcting this problem. they have broke on me twice but both times they have replaced them at no charge to me at all not even shipping. i hope to see improvement on nose pads in the future. as for customer service is concerned it does not get better than that. Thank you and God bless Steve Phillips

Same problem with mine. I've had 3 pairs break now. Allways the nose pads. I've had one pair replaced and have written oto them to ask if they have come up with any solution to this problem. I can't believe so few people have mentioned the defect. I can only guess they don't use them much.
Those would be nice for reading in bed when laying on your side. My bows always get pushed sideways on my glasses and causes everything to distort and is really annoying.
I have just received my thin optics here in the uk and they are fantastic. Just as described and possibly ever smaller and lighter than I thought. Work perfectly and with the included keychain they are always with me when I need them.
I want to like them but unfortunately they just don’t stay on!
I misplace everything, one year I lost 3 passports.
I have these. They are awesome if you need to carry around reading glasses. I need bifocals but been putting it off, so I use these for reading when I forget my readers. Small/compact, easy to use. Can't go wrong.
I use ThinOptics, especially for reading in bed. They can fall off my nose and not be damaged or stick me in the eye, etc. The frame is a alloy of nickel and titanium that is all but indestructible. You can actually tie them in a knot and if they become deformed put them in hot water and they will be restored to their original shape. The reason for a limit on strength is that lenses stronger than 2.5 would be thicker than the frame as designed. The frame is such that the plastic lens does not contact the inside of the case where they might become scratched over time. I too keep them on my rubber phone case. The case has not come loose in the years I have had them.
Yes! I’ve used Thin Optics for years. Always close at hand and very reliable. When the nose piece broke they replaced them. Good as they say!
This vid is 5 years old but I'm commenting anyway. Great review. I just ordered a pair and am looking forward to getting them. Presently, I only wear reading glasses while in bed. These will be my means to go public with them and choosing ThinOptics was all about the size/portability. Hoping the bridge maintains tightness over time. Any loosening in the fit over time?
Allow me to help this video and give my own recommendation, ThinOptic lenses are very practical in case of emergency or need to read something if you do not have your glasses, but these lenses cannot replace your medicated lenses, on the other hand, do not buy the case keys and rather compare the one that sticks to the smarphone case. This key case is very practical to carry it with the keys but it is not the most careful or delicate for your ThinOptic lenses, since after a short time the pressure that is applied to the thin wire ends up removing / breaking the central wire of the arch of the lenses and you end up breaking the lenses right at that point. I have had two key cases and in both cases the wire from the glasses has come off, I highly recommend always buying the card case, this case will not break the wire.
How do you make them stay on your nose I even spread them apart and they fall off as soon as I look down to read
they dont last long, the break any alternatives?
because I saw you mention this in your best of video I just bought these for my mother in law who constantly gets frustrated looking for her reading glasses. thanks
I've been using them for about a month now and I have no complaints. Awesome product!
I am a +3.50 user. I couldn't find that in the website. will it take eye prescription?
Just received my thin optics and checking out some questions and saw your review. Thanks
Does the color get faded or erased by time?
I had two of these that both broke after a couple years. They worked well and I will be getting more, however, the lifetime warranty means that you must pay $5 shipping for each one. Now I've seen enough advertisements for others, where you can get them for a better deal. Since they seem to be toss away glasses, I will probably stock up on the quantity and best value.
Just got a pair today, ordered them on their website, took about a week to get but I live in Alaska always take longer. I really like them so far and i find myself wearing them more than i did my other reading glasses. I however paid $20 + 5 for shipping but i did get to choose the Azure blue i liked. So far I like them, I wish I had bought two pairs!
Just bought some and ended up scratching them putting them in the case. Not happy!
I wish they were prescription. I am farsighted and get quite the headache when I read without my glasses.
They should make the bendy part with titanium.
I love them also. used them for many years.
My mom finds her glasses quicker than her phone 🤣
I'm going to try these. Thank you for the review.
Can we get an update to these in a future video?
Is safe to wireless charge my iPhone with thinoptics on the back of my iPhone
I like them, but the nose piece broke off. But it comes with a life time warranty, for $5 shipping and handling.
Yeaso how do youkeep fingers offlenses ?
Unfortunately, the little plastic pieces that touch your nose always break before long.
I have an question, now that you have wear them, how is the pinch in the nose feel? I am very picky at his issue because I have a broken nose and the top bone is a bit pronunciated, so I was wondering how do they grip to the nose ? does it bother having them on?
Late to the party. It is 04-06-2023. Thank you for your practical review. Many reviews of products cannot be trusted or are not common sense use. Yours covered that for me very well. I will subscribe.
Did you use you car phone holder after installing?
I just ordered one today from lenskart
totally jealous right now. i wanna go there too. the glasses look good on you. my actual glasses i have dont help me see up close. there will be alot of times around bedtime that i cant read anything on my phone cause its so blurry and i cant always respond to email or texts cause i cant see the messages. i think my prob would be that i dont know what strength i would need and since i live in canada we dont have a target to shop at so i wouldnt be able to try before buy. glad those are helping you tho.enjoy your vacay.
I want these glasses but I can't go to Maui! What do I do?!
I wanted to see the glasses fit on your face, as soon as you put them on you took them off why?
i THINK ONCE THE LENSES FOR 3X AND UP ,sorry dint know caps was on, the lenses would be to thick to be thin optics. good review
Hi there! Curious if you might do an update...? The recent reviews (as of Aug. 2018) on FB about ThinOptics say that the nose piece breaks frequently (a few weeks to a few months), and that Customer Service has REALLY gone downhill in terms of responsiveness time (unless you make a public comment on FB, apparently). Wondering what your experience has been with them since last year...
I need 3.0 magnification
Good job on review and testament to the video clarity, I noticed in a shot where light came through lenses that they seemed to have scratches? Reviews on Amazon indicate the case is not lined and pushing in/out causes the lenses to be scuffed. Can you confirm/comment on the glasses you tested?

Hey Bren. I'm looking at them now and I don't really see scratches, but there are a few very small nicks. I actually thought they were dust at first. It's nothing I really noticed until I looked just now. I suppose it's possible those occurred from inserting or removing them. I was under the impression that the frames were slightly thicker than the lenses, which kept them from being scratches while inserting into the case. Good point, though. I'll keep an eye on them and see if more appear as I use them.
found you. ahaha your vid is on some reals today😂😂😂
First, Thank you for the review. GREAT REVIEWS ALWAYS. You explain things better than all the others. I have a question that you might be able to answer. During your use of them on the plane, did they fall off of your nose easily? Did they pinch your nose and you could not wear them for a long period?

Hey Scott. I think I know what you're talking about. There are certain angles in which it doesn't stay on as well or pinches the nose. You kind of have to play with placement and how tight to make it in order to alleviate those things. At first I did find them falling off, but eventually found a comfortable tightness and location, and could wear them for extended periods. Hope that helps.

Absolutely, Those were the answers I was looking for. I went ahead and ordered a couple pair. Thank you again for the great review and thank you for the quick reply.
I disagree with the "great customer service" mentioned in the video. It takes 3 business days to get a response to an email and 2 business days for a phone call. Also, the instructions say to clean using soap, water, and fingertips to clean the lenses but let them air dry - don't wipe with anything. That leaves water spots on the lenses. These two items really offset the convenience of having glasses always with my cell phone.
I bought TWO pairs. For me and my husband. as described. Thanks.
wow... beautifull.. that is very expert and break through... buy now...
These are an update of Pince-nez that were popular in 19th century. But you know who Pince-nez were good for? Theodore Roosevelt, that's who. Neat product.

That's true. If only TR had a smartphone, he could have attached his glasses to it! :-)
i just bought one pair now cause of you...lol tyvm
This is a TERRIFIC product and they stand behind their guarantee!! Wonderful to be able to write that!
Thank you for the review. I’m really looking to attach these on the back of my mobile phone as you. Have a question, have you had a chance to see if wireless charging the phone is affected by the small gap that the holder has? Thanks again.

I haven't tried it with a wireless charger, but that's a good question. You could probably test it out by placing something about 3/16" thick between your phone and a wireless charger.

Freakin' Reviews Good advise. I'll try it. Thank you
They irritate the bridge of the nose if you wear them for longer periods of time.
Anyone else Know some european brand like this one?
They snap after a year, I've had two so far.
great job!
Great review but I found the dozens of times your hand swatted and pointed at the camera very distracting.
Too bad I don't have enough nose bridge to support these kinds of reading glasses :( :(. Anything similar made for non-Caucasians?

I had a buddy try my pair on years ago. They fit his broad nose without a problem.
My husband wants the readers that folds but this looks just as good but then he won't be able to use wireless charging on his phone.

They make a Keychain and a credit card style.
These were practical when i forgot my glasses 👓 at home and been in store needing to read some labels. But one set broke and the other one got lost from the compartment glued to my wallet. And this has been a couple of years ago. This is not at all a new product. Concerning the guaranteed that it is mentioned, it is not true. I have sent a message to them and they never give me any feedback on send me a replacement. They were not the best but they were useful when you don't have your real ones with you. Practical but no respect for the guarantee that i have knowledge of. No more than 2 🌟...
Nice! Thanks bra!
I need a 1.75 and they don't have them.

Bought a pair for my wife. She used them on a vacation. Unfortunately perhaps it was a car trip, and while she found them good, she discovered that if she kept them on for a length of time (reading maps, etc,) or constantly took them on and of (again, reading then not then reading...) they irritated her nose. Adequate, but not her choice.

According to their website: +1.50 Also fits (+1.25 to +1.75) ****** +2.00 (Also fits +1.75 to +2.25)
Loads of obviously fake reviews in the comments.
The audio on this video is horrible
People who are over +2.50 are no longer perfect in the distance and therefore should be wearing multi focals. These cheap no balance no astigmatism (eccentricity of eye) correction are for "perfect" people, if you need above that you should be wearing the correct prescription.

They seem like a neat idea my worry is in an accident , vehicle or physical they become a traumatic agent to the eyes.
Infomercial
Thin optics suck...they can't even deliver a pair of glasses!
Get to the point

Keem 10 He bought them at Target, has referral link in description to Amazon (where, if you make a purchase, he will get an Amazon Associate affiliate percentage of the sale if you make a purchase. That does not increase your purchase price. The affiliate income is the commission he will earn from Amazon for helping people find a product.) YET, he tells us in the video that for the greatest selection of styles & colors of this product, we should go to the actual ThinOptics website, and as far as I can tell, he would not be getting any affiliate income. If you follow the link to his website, he has sponsored ads that automatically generate product ads based on keywords in the text content. At the bottom of the post, he again shares the Amazon links that are part of the Amazon Associates program. Then below that, he has a disclosure about the Amazon Associates program & even shares his name. I’ve done some affiliate marketing and as far as I can see without going into full-fledged stalker mode, he seems to be doing it all correctly. In fact, I’m very impressed that he has hit the right balance between informing the public about product while making some income that helps provide the means to purchase products and create videos.
