Love these videos helps a ton for people starting out the fact that you share your information is awesome as some people would just keep them to themselves really appreciate it! sharing the love for art no more buying sideshow statues or others.....lol love your paints!
I use that craft paint all the time. Working on large models and using the small bottles of expensive paint is just pointless. I save that stuff for the small models. I will say that I have found that the metallic craft paint is simply amazing. I will even say that it is better then the pricy hobby paint.
Thanks so much ! What I’ve learned should solve my airbrushing problems!

Thank you for this very informative tutorial and this very clear demonstration. Excellent. 👍🏻😉🤝🏻🇨🇵
Have used Ceramcoat by Delta for over 40 years on 15mm to 120mm metal, resin, hard and soft plastic miniatures - still love it! Have been in the hobby since 1972; own complete ranges of Vallejo Model Color, Vallejo Game Color, Army Painter, extensive parts of ranges by Andrea Color, Citadel, Reaper, Life Color, Scale 75, Tamiya, and original Humbrol enamels(1970's), Genesis (the granddad of Reaper - mixed in buckets by a Sherwin Williams house paint store!), Polly S, and other hobby paints; uas well as extensive amounts of Golden, Winsor Newton, Liquitex, Grumbacher (from the 70's), and hand-mixed professional artist-grade oils and acrylics! With all of that to choose from, I still use Ceramcoat on EVERY miniature I paint - and have since I started using them 40 years ago! 👍🏻🎅👍🏻
Thank you for making this. Love your videos!

You are good at faces, which always impresses me. For what it is worth, I prefer high proof isopropyl alcohol to water. I like how it dries faster and it more dynamic to work with, an error in overdilution is momentary.

If it's like the washer fluid here in the USA, that's methanol based. I'm no safety nanny, (I use acetone without gloves). But methanol is the toxic kind of alcohol that should be contact minimized. (It's also why you pour off the 1st few jars when distilling and the reason freeze distilled alcohol like apple-jack gives a bad headache). I'd suggest instead using a mix of ethanol or ipa and distilled water.
Hello can i use life color acrylic thinner for other acrylic paints such as vallejo or am i better off with still water?

Just getting into the airbrush world, once you thin the paints would you recommend storing any leftover? Also looking at making some custom colors, would you recommend mixing the paint and storing it without thinning? Any issues spraying on fiberglass?

If I have a larger batch I mixed up I'll store it with the thinner in it. Be careful though. I've seen it seperate from the thinner before and gloop up. I havent had any issues spraying on fiberglass but just make sure your surface is prepped well.

Awesome video! Quick question if I want to use acrylic paint on clothing like a pair of jeans and do a acrylic paint splatter on a pair of jeans to give some design do I need to use the medium flow product after I’ve painted my product and let it dry? So that the acrylic paint will stay once I wash the jeans in the washing machine and or keeps the acrylic paint from cracking? I found this on Amazon: Mont Marte Premium Acrylic Flow Medium 8.45oz (250ml) And lastly.. I do a paint splatter design on my jeans without the medium flow product. Would it be any issue down the road with me washing the Jean material later like the cracking and peeling of the paint? Does the medium flow product seal and glue the acrylic paint to the Jean material.. Ty

You might want to look into fabric paint. Regular acrylic paint will come off over time. Fabric paint has a polymer that adheres to cloth better.

@@TheCreativeCollector Thanks, I appreciate the reply!
One problem that comes up with all these acrylics is once you use the paint it starts to slowly thicken and dry up around the openings. Then when you thin the paint , it does not matter how much time and effort you put into the process, any dried speck of acrylic paint will not dissolve. So if you are experiencing problems running any these paints , consider straining the paint somewhere in the process. Many cheap and easy ways to do this.
@TheCreativeCollector
5 ай бұрын
Very true! But it's near impossible to get them through a strainer without thinning them first.
