I think an ‘old fashioned club’ were you send a letter with your thoughts and ideas for a creative skein, based on that we say yes or no then we get the skein through the post sight unseen etc would be a refreshing change

I’m so here for receiving an actual letter Emma. When you both share about knitting in the day, think it’s great, I definitely don’t think you’re not working…I call it work for the soul.

I love your interview series. Amazing that I found out that Hello Stella is moving to Canadian yarn and natural dyes. I live in Toronto, a city near her but I found out through your great work in Ireland. Thanks.

Good morning….loved hearing your discussion with Hello Stella….. I wish I lived near you Emma so I could come to your studio and volunteer to do your packaging and mailing while you allowed yourself that time to play….think…..relax…..grow and create in your mind eye. I love your yarn and as an artist you need time to explore the world around you…never feel guilty about that need. My career was in managing volunteers so my offer is sincere, but Minnesota is a long way to commute to Ireland❤️. You do you and know you’re on the right road…..happy summering, gayle

I have loved this series, but this one I think is my favourite. Would advocate slow mail and even if you sent out a new year letter with your hopes, dreams and aspirations that would be amazing! It was be a huge commitment otherwise. I think social media is a bug bear for all of us in one way or another, but you’re on the right track, so don’t overthink what you do and enjoy the process. Sending best wishes from Yorkshire x

Great discussion. I found Lindsay on KZread years ago and was attracted by her use of colour. As you said, Emma, she puts together colours I would NEVER thing to put in a garment and they come out beautifully. What holds me back from using non-superwash yarns is the "itch" factor. I am afraid to spend the money on the amazing yarn only to find out I can't wear it. I probably need to just bit the bullet and buy some yarn to try. Thanks for a great episode.

There’s a woman that lives in Washington state that has totally embraced the idea of ending her buying of ALL superwash yarn. She has now converted all her knitting to non superwash bases and tells everyone she knows to try non superwash yarn as well! THAT PERSON IS ME, and I will never go back, wake up folks and try non superwash yarn! It’s warmer, wears better, is self cleaning, and frankly is more comfortable to wear! It’s better for the environment as well. ClaudiaSJI.

I'm just about to finish watching this episode....you're both talking about social media and the negative aspects of it. This totally resonates with me as I am a retail worker, and it's a similar thing....worrying how others perceive you. My advice is to just do you....don't worry about what you think others are thinking. I've had experience, and please remember the old saying....you can't please all of the people all of the time. Keep life simple and do whatever you love....if you love what you do, then you will always achieve greatness. You are always your biggest critic. I wish you both all the best....enjoy always xOXo ❤️

I love your videos but the adverts are super frequent at the moment - every 2.5mins according to my timer! I don't know if this is my settings or how the videos are uploaded but they're so frequent it's putting me off watching the longer episodes. I totally appreciate creatives needing to make income and I guess the way round it is for me to pay for KZread premium, but I wanted to mention it in case there's a setting you can tweak to make the adverts less frequent, but hopefully still make the same income from your videos! I very much enjoy your content so don't want this to sound like a snark!

Superwash is not environmentally friendly! Think twice if your convenience is worth it
