I just bought an Asus TUF 4070 Ti Super 16GB BTF. It's overkill for me but I'm good for another 5 years, or so I think. I feel that I'm a little future proof and that means a lot to me. My last build was 9 years ago and I waited a little longer than I should have but, spend a little more and keep it a little longer! This card is neck to neck with the 4080 super and a hair faster. I'm good for a while! Great video, Sir!

The Asus 4080 Super TUF Gaming card is incredible for 4K gaming, and the cooling is so amazing that almost immediately after you exit gameplay, the fans shut off. Even during gameplay, as long as you aren’t try to get 200fps, the fans are inaudible and stay around 1000-1100 rpm. It’s like gaming with a console it’s so quiet.

I´ve been researching intensively during these days of easter break to upgrade. I found pretty shocking to have suffered so much to find a video like this. I am not interested in the 2fps differences or clock speeds. I am looking for the most efficient coolers and noise to get an idea of the fan curves I´ll be able to set to get the noise as low as possible. See if there are any issues with software. And finally build and comp quality. This video somewhat covered the last two points. Crazy to realize this is the first video I´ve been able to see the software after researching all week. I come from an EVGA1080 Ti FTW3 and even though I had a 970 Strix in the past, this video has been pretty useful to me, as I don´t have any experience with the TUF brand. Keep it up man!

This is riddled with bad advice ! First off , never buy a OC Version of a GPU IE Tuf 4080 Super OC is 100.00 more then non OC yet the cards are identical , you can dial in the 2 percent OC or flash the OC Vbios to the non OC card in 3 mins ! You can even flash the strix 4080 super OC vbios to the TUF non gaming version , you are telling people to throw money away !

@@spacecab2625 they are the same exact cards only different Vbios , the non OC is 2550 the OC is 2610mhz , Asus provides the software to bump your core clock 60mhz with zero effect on your warranty as it would be impossible to know . This is not a real OC just a tiny factory bump to get more money from novices that can't open Asus gpu tweak and move a slider 60mhz . This is also the reason the non OC is cheaper yet way harder to find as they want people to buy the OC as they get $100.00 more for the save hardware

Agreed actually it's funny both of the none oc models I got both hit 2680 out of the box and were able to OC to 3000mhz what's funny about that is most of the OC versions haven't been able to hit 3000mhz on the 4080 super. So I say always get none OC. Most of us hardcore guys have always known this. Just go to reddit say shoupd I buy OC strix or none OC? Everyone says none OC. For good reason. I'm getting identicla performance on my strix and got it for much less. Also people seem to think you need the OC bios no. I suggest not even downloading the OC bios. It's Judy a slightly mhz clock like 70 to 80 thats it. No memory no watts no nothing added. I've found using rhe oc bios then OC may yield slightly worse results then none OC bios and just OC yourself. Use the bios if you don't eant to OC but what's Even funnier is nvidia beta app has an auto OC feature now which actually gives it a better OC then the strix bios becausw it boosts memory watts and everything.

Had the R9 270 TUF Gaming way back when I Built my PC with the FX6300... That was about 10yrs ago almost I think now and as for Brand Loyalty.... ??? I like to Tinker too Much for that to be a Thing... So, since then that PC has been Rebuilt with the 7800X3D and an ASRock PG B650E Riptide and a 7800XT... When I had the TUF in the Original Build, I had gotten a GTX 1650 Super OC from a Friend of mine to Try Out, and since I'd been Swapping between AMD and nVidia for Years to see how one behaves compared to the Other, I gave it a Shot... The 7800XT hasn't had that Chance yet with the 16 Pin High Power Issues, I was staying away from them until things got Sorted, and it sounds like they're making More Progress than they had been, so it's Time to see how the two Compare... HOWEVER, I won't go Below 16gb or a 256 Memory Bus, since that's where the 7800XT Lives, this Counted Out the 4070 Super, and the 4070 Ti Super seemed to have Issues of it's Own just by it's Placement in the Lineup and How it Got to Be... With the Costs being what they were already, I Opted for the TUF 4080 Super OC and just Bite the Bullet, it oughta be here this Weekend, we'll see... Already have the PSU to Match it, made that a Point when I Rebuilt the PC as it was, that was Before the Meltdowns, it's a Vetroo GV1000 so it'll have plenty of Juice for anything the Card'll want... Besides, I wanna see this new nVidia App and see if it Works better than the GeFarce Experience did...

Never ever buy the OC model if you dont have to. Thats horrible advice. I also dont sugest people buy none OC and then theow the OC bios on. Just use nvidia auto OC it gives you even more boost because it doesn memory and watts. Guys the OC tuf and strix this year are pure clocks 70 to 80 thats it. No wattage difference and no memory difference. Just ignnore OC and ignore the OC bios. Both of my none OC 4080 supers hit 3000mhz and whats funny is most of the OC models are having a hard time doing that. My strix hit 2680 out of the box so I already got the gauruntee of an OC. But whata funny is its a 1fps difference between 2680 and 2770 on average. So please its rare to find but get the none OC if you can. It seems like the none OC are getting insane silicon lottery also. Like legit ive yet to see a bad one but there are so many OC models i guess chances are you may get a bad one? Idk even the one fuy on youtueb who overclocked his tuf none oc got 2680 out of rhe box and was able to his 3000mhz which is way higher then even the OC is out of the box of couese. Everyone understood this with the 3000 series gpus. You should with the 4000 series also. Enjoy! Again use the nvidia beta app do auto OC if yoy dont want ro chance anyrhing. Raise the power limit and everything all the way then click auto. Boom much better OC results then any OC out of the box. Because of the memory and wattas boost.

@@silfrido1768 People suckered into you don't need a lot of vram for months then ohh, you do...... just to help the industry sell. Fact is, you want the best = Stops the games of getting sucker punched. As these games come out the sys req is going up very fast and all those chasing after bottom tech will get cornered and re-buy will have to occur to keep pace with the industry. Unless, you didn't get suckered into and bought the best and future proofed for what is coming.

A lot of the TUF styling is a missed opportunity for them. Take the Mobos for example, they are not much better than the Prime series, with minimal plating covering the IO. Sometimes the branding actually makes it worse. They had the right idea early on with a lot more "metal" bits thrown in to cover the PCB, but now it feels very minimalistic. Their GPUs lack consistent design language with the rest of the brand as well. For example, the triangle bits on the GPU when seen horizontally. The rest of the brand seems focus more on boxy design elements, rather than triangles. Imagine if they had an EVGA like kingpin mesh between the shield and backplate? Or copper tubing? Design wise its just low effort these days.

Normally you would have to have a disclaimer that this is sponsored by Asus. I think he might just be promoting GPUs which have affiliate links, as he can earn more from those sales. He's not wrong about the content though, as this line up of GPUs are usually better specced than their counterparts in the same category.
