Blessed Fulton Sheen, pray for us. 🙏 As a cradle Catholic and US Naval Academy graduate, I learned how Christ appreciated military Officers. I pray that I am worthy to be a soldier for Christ.

Agree. My father raised me on Bishop Sheen as the greatest "explainer" of Catholicism. I wish i could live up to my father's understanding. I can't so i pass it on so others may benefit. lm

We have KZread which has helped me grow spiritually! My prayer life has improved and my understanding of the wrong info put in the world has been corrected! Mostly we have to pray for a spark in peoples hearts and souls to search deeper!

@@chrismiko8652not “worshipping a statue”. Do you have a nativity set or pictures of loved ones? We as humans are helped by images to remind us of things. If you look at a pic of your dead grandma are you worshipping her? We ask those already in heaven to pray for us, we dont worship them.

Bishop Fulton J. Sheen was a very humble man. He was also extremely self-disciplined. Yet he exhibited a fantastic & gracious sense of humor. The hierarchy of the Catholic Church did NOT like Bishop Sheen because he was what he preached. One of the few Christian Catholics. If you don't understand what is meant by this, read the example of the way Christ is shown to us----NOT the miracles He performed, but Christ's own actions---- & the way most Catholics see themselves. Just ask a typical Catholic how he(she) perceives himself(herself). Observe Catholics & you'll understand the difference between Catholic & Christian!! I have met a FEW Christian Catholics & they are SUPERB people. So Bishop Sheen is a SUPERB Christian Catholic.

I think your judgement, as written, of who is a Christian, is extremely superficial: just based on self-perception. So you can read the life of St Justin the martyr, of St Theresa of Avila, of St Theresa of Calcutta, of St Philip Neri, of St Rose of Lima, of St Therese of the Child Jesus, of St Dominic of Guzman, and hundreds of others and potentially judge that they were not truly Christian if they don't perceive themselves the way you do or you think a Christian should. Yet nowhere in the Bible is a person judged a Christian based on self-perception, but on belief in Jesus.

You shouldn't touch the Sacred Host even once unless you have the consecrated hands of a validly ordained priest. Communion in the hand by the laity is the major reason so many Catholics don't believe in The Real Presence.

Agree absolutely! Apparently, Communion-in-the-Hand was introduced by the 16th century Protestants so as to diminish the significance of the Eucharist in the minds of the faithful. Are to suppose that in Catholic hands this practice makes something better? According to one source, some 70% of Catholics believe that the Eucharist is merely symbolic! How? Communion-in-the-Hand really should be discontinued immediately!

It is truly the Body Blood Soul and Divinity of the Blessed Lord Jesus.....John 6 : 52-58 in the Catholic Church the priest has the authority to speak the word's at the consecration, where by the host (bread) and wine become the true body and blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus, while remaining in appearance as the host and wine the substance is changed this is known as transubstantiation, Corinthians 11: 23-30 you will see that Paul refers to the breaking of the bread at the Last Supper, and Jesus's instructions to "do this in memory of me" further on Paul mentioned that to eat and drink unworthely will bring condemnation on oneself, meaning if eating the body and blood with unconfessed serious Sin. Why would that be so. Because it is truely the Body and Blood, soul and divinity of Jesus.

That happens outside the church way more frequently. The most common way being a family member. Don’t trust your parents. They’re the ones most likely to abuse you. But of course these generalizations are a useless way to encounter the world. The real motive behind seeking to confront others with a prejudice is usually just to defend oneself against self-examination and personal accountability. It’s a defensive tactic, not a selfless devotion to children that inspires it. And the proof of this is that we live in a country that feels confident enough in people not really caring that they release child predators and register them where you can easily see where they are. The government knows no public outrage is ever displayed against them. They know your true heart better than you do.
