The spare tire cover/cargo floor has a locking handle that keeps the contents underneath from rattling. Even in your video you show the rubber bumpers that the cover lays on keeping those bins still. You might be reaching on the claim that these create noise. We've had this GC model and the previous one in the limited pkg for almost 9 years and never had this issue.

It was funny that after saying you could put towels in the buckets in the back, you didn't think about putting the towels between the spare and the bucket to stop the noise.

This technique must be for the newer models. I have a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. I've tried various unlock and hold combos from my remote and it doesn't work on mine. Do you have any other suggestions?

to avoid the noise of buckets put some window foam trim under the top edge of buckets, also place a thin rubber mat covering both buckets and maybe part if your spare tire.

I keep my trailer hitch in that bucket and it's heavy enough not to bounce.

I have a 2021 Grand Cherokee and I've found that the auto-off really improves mileage. I sometimes use the screen that shows current MPG and allows you to easily reset the average and I typically get 17 MPG city or highway. I've noticed at drive throughs a) it only works the first time you stop and b) it may only work for 30 seconds or so and the engine will start even if you haven't moved. One recent trip with at least a 10 minute wait at the drive through (probably with A/C running) I was shocked when I looked down after finally getting my food to see the MPG at 9. Depending on how much city driving and stopping you do it will make a big difference. Usually I'm only going short distances, i.e. from home to pickup something at a drive through and my thought is that it the auto-shutoff only stays off for 30 seconds to not risk the battery running down if it hasn't fully recharged from starting up originally. It's done this since day one, seemingly also when the A/C isn't on and I would think that with a brand new battery & alternator it shouldn't be an issue but who knows. Maybe this is just how it's intended to work regardless of how long it could run on the battery with the engine off. I don't know why it only shuts the engine the first time you stop and not each additional time you have to move up a car length and wait again unless it is indeed due to saving the battery if it's not fully charged. It seems to do it even if I've driven for a while and not just gone straight to the drive through. I've driven plenty of rental cars with the auto-shutoff feature and have always found it annoying but with my Jeep it seems much more seamless and I wish it shut-off every time I am stopped. Mine has sport mode (3.6L V6) but I've noticed zero difference in performance whether in sport vs. not (other than sport mode disables auto-shutoff.) It doesn't seem to accelerate any faster nor change the handling or steering responsiveness so I don't bother turning it on. I've also used it with a 0-60 phone timer app and see no difference in 0-60 times there either. One tip would be to hit the button to disable the parking alert sensor at drive throughs because it always beeps the whole time you are next to the building/pickup window.

Sports mode raises the rpm’s between shifts. I think it normally shifts at like 2.5k and in sport it’s like 5k+

I've had that happen a few times myself. I never thought to turn the handle upside down. I usually allow air to escape, by pulling the pump handle out a couple of times and it has worked like a charm.

I like the rubber mat in the trunk. Where did you get it? I just bought a used 2015 summit ecodiesel and it didn't have the owners book. I have do many features to explore.

Maybe Velcro on the storage in the spare tire compartment.

If you can, try working with your dealership and have them Replace the filter nozzle under warranty. When I did that I can use most pumps in the normal position. It’s a real pain, and it should be fixed by Jeep.

You have much newer radio than mine and ya those are some awesome features you found there . You will get a map update in a years time those are really a pain , maybe you will do it maybe not who knows lol. I'm overdue for one myself . Those storage bins in the underneath are weird i have the same . Since I lifted my jeep I actually took that doughnut spare out gave it away lol . I went with some KX Rims and Yokohama geolander 285 75 r17 . You can't run these unless you lift your jeep . I used oldman emu suspension lift kit off quadratec website 1,100.00 plus install ouch but really an improvement .

Stop topping off, only fill to 7/8's max, excess clicking off gas is going into the EVAP system. The fumes/vapors from the charcoal canister hit the sensor on the station nozzle and click off, the more it clicks off the more gas into the EVAP system. I think?

@JoseCruz-kp7ru The problem is not when topping off. The problem is, the pump clicking off, after partial filling of the tank(not even half full). I don't experience it every single time I get fuel. So, I figured a vapor lock was happening. I make sure to let air escape by pulling the pump handle out and pushing it in a few times. Then resume fueling. This has always resolved the issue for me.

Trying to find illuminated Jeep emblem any recommendations

I learned that about the dead battery on the key fob, luckily before I actually needed it, thank heavens. Why did jeep make it to where you cannot turn off your headlights? Try looking at Christmas lights while blinding others, that was a stupid idea. Luckily we have another car that the lights actually shut off to take instead. I also didnt know about the flat front seat. Thanks for the video.

Flipping the handle really changed filling up for me lol I have 20" wheels stock from the factory on mine and they do have different fill ups on the inside door.

So I got a question, after you use the filler tube to fill the tank, what do you do with it? My kid is a mechanic and says that you are supposed to use it everytime you fill fuel so you dont damage the capless system. I've tried this and the entire truck smells like gas after I put the tube back. I've even tried putting it in a ziplock bag to stop the smell but it don't work. Any tips on that?

He said in the video that you are only supposed to use it for when you put gas in using a red gallon bottle. Its not meant to be used for a regular gas station nozzle.

New sub My 2 headlights are not working on the low beam. Just the high bean works. Is that normal? I check the fuse and that checks out fine. Before I go buy 2 new low beam bulbs what else should I check?

Question, first of all thank you for these videos I just got my 2017 jeep and I love it and your videos are very helpful. So: When I open up the trunk and I am facing the trunk, and I look to the left there’s something that is attached to the side wall of the Jeep that is missing in my Jeep -can anybody tell me what it is? I just have an empty space. It’s just above the little 6 inch in diameter storage bucket. I can tell something is supposed to be in there I just don’t know what it is. Thanks I just traded my 2012 JGC Overland, for I believe 2016' JGC RT badging steering much better. I can't find and info on my purchase not in KBB or NADA I'm guessing some sort of special edition. The manufacturer date says 11/15 ? So not sure which year it is. I'm gone trucking OTR so researching on internet. 👍

4:20 speed adjust stereo volume doesn't work well at all. I never notice it while gaining speed and it causes loud and quiet fluxuations at low totally inappropriate speeds. Sure it's mild but it causes me to say "What was that?" while reversing out of my garage or driving slowly through my neighborhood.

​@@nicklopez5298I played around in the settings when I got my 2014. It was amazing what tweaks I learned.

The start/ stop wasn't necessarily added for saving gas. My understanding is, it was to help lower exhaust emissions to protect the environment. Kinda silly considering all of the crap cars out there still on the roads. Not to mention factories and such. This feature is such a pain in the "A" as well.

It's to help maintain the fleet fuel efficiency targets set for automakers by the government (I've always heard these quoted in MPG but who knows if there's more too it than that.) Personally in my 2021 Grand Cherokee I do find that auto-shutoff really improves the MPG at things like drive throughs were you may be stopped for a few minutes. If you use sport mode it will disable auto-shutoff.

My key fob died...used key to unlock Jeep GC Trailhawk.....security alarm went off and then I received an email stating the anti theft alarm has been activated. Oh and because the car alarm was going off, the cops showed up.

Former mechanic ,trust me the auto stop was made for less pollution from some scientists ,not for gas savings ,your defiantly burning more fuel with constant on /off as compared to to just deactivate it, most fuel is consumed at start up as compared to just idling,sorry DOUGLAS common sense doesn’t apply here!

If you live in the city and commute during peek times - its absolutely a feature you want to use.... it has little to do with saving petrol.. the number 1 reason is to help the environment (of that it helps alot) and also engine wear. however the main reason is the environment... if that's not important to you then your a fool If you live in the country - then sure its probably not something that you would use
