Things you may have missed in the Zelda Echoes of Wisdom Reveal Trailer
Ойындар
The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom is the latest entry in the series, but this time with a twist, we’re going on an adventure playing as Zelda rather than Link. The trailer for the new game switched things up pretty quickly, starting out as Link, then flipping to Zelda in a major reveal. Today I’m going to check out loads of other details and secrets you may have missed from the Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom trailer.

I think the areas of darkness are like shrines, you go in, finish. But this time you can access what or who would normally be there upon completing. Just because it's a similar looking game doesn't mean it will be the dark world.

interesting idea, I hadn't thought of it as contained areas like shrines

I also thought it might be more like individual levels rather than multiple entrances to a Dark World. And yeah probably rescuing/saving whatever fell in from Hyrule, and that part of the map and NPC'c will be back after beating each one. Probably a trippy art style and/or level design inside.
I can only think of one reason Zelda wears that cloak, I'm guessing the guards are preventing Zelda Leaving the castle, being to dangerous outside, so she put it on and they didn't know it's her.

that makes sense, but she could just reveal herself and say "I'm going out, see ya!"
I theorize that this takes place around the Oracle Games. There was supposed to be a third game after all, and it was rumored to be set in Hyrule. Here's hoping we get remakes of the Oracle games.

that's a good point about the 3rd oracle game. I think your placement in the timeline is spot on

The rumours a couple years back were that Grezzo was making either Oracle remakes or a spiritual "3rd" Oracle game. Certainly seems that way! My thought when watching the Nintendo Direct was "OMG its basically Oracle of Wisdom, and it's ZELDA!"

Timeline wise it'll be interesting to see if this is one of those rare cases where they care to make it totally consistent. The 2D/top-down games are the ones that had the least amount of consideration of overarching timeline cohesion when they were being developed after all. However this being the first NEW 2D game in 12 years (Tri-force Heroes doesn't count as mainline in my brain Lol) I'm very excited to try and see where it is trying to fit! Especially given that it seems to be the same Hyrule layout as Link to the Past/Between Worlds, but expanded out quite a bit from what we can gleam from the Volcano, the Deku Tree, and Gerudo Town; presumably the map is expanded Westward.

@@ThreeBlindMiceFilms the timeline for the 2-D games was fairly consistent though besides four swords adventures. All of them besides FSA didn't change timeline placement in hyrule historia compared to what they said in interviews

@@mememan5466 That's fair, perhaps I should have said "depth and detail" rather than "cohesion" Haha I more so mean how the Fallen Hero timeline feels like it was made because it was more convenient than fitting them in elsewhere, once they began putting more thought behind timeline continuity after Ocarina of Time. And there being a clear timeline split between Oot-WW-TP, makes throwing in a 3rd timeline where the older 2D games can go doesn't come out of nowhere. Like Nintendo aren't doing Tolkien level world building is all I'm saying. So I feel there's always some finessing you gotta do as an audience member to make it all work perfectly, and I think that's really fun Lol There's usually great cohesion between titles that are direct prequels/sequels, and were developed with that intent. The overall timeline is somewhat a retro-active thing (particularly with regards to the Fallen Hero timeline) that some developers at Nintendo care about: Others, like Myomoto himself, doesn't even want to consider it, just want to make fun games. This game seems to obviously be around the time/world of Link to the Past/Oracle/Awakening (perhaps the very same Zelda+Link), if it is outside the FH timeline, that's when it would get interesting and fucky hahaha
In Baten Kaitos, this kid wants a blue bird. You capture the essence of a...dead blue bird and give it to the kid. He gets so excited. I wonder if you can capture the essence if a dead enemy and start swinging it around.

Zelda went into the crystal in Skyward Sword too.

True
The "Castle Town" seems to actually just be exactly that! You can see in the first shot of Zelda looking across Hyrule, The entrance to the Castle is quite open and has a couple of the town buildings in the courtyard. Instead of it effectively being a dungeon like in LttP.
It would be cool if this game was links return to hyrule after links awakening but i don't have any reasoning for this other than the art style

Why does no one comment on the markings on the stone that she is encased above in the opening sequence? They are similar to ones on the “transport stones”.

There WILL be a mod that lets you play as Link.

Why?
Can someone explain to me why these takes "focused on solving puzzles". As if Zelda wasn't all focused on puzzles. The game is an action adventure confirmed by Nintendo and from the trailers and gameplays it doesn't seem any less action than other Zeldas, just with a different gimmick.

I did refer to Link, but I was describing the context of monsters being surprised in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. They are doing something similar here in Echoes of WIsdom. "n Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom we see monsters get surprised and they show exclamaton marks when Link surprises them. Here too in Echoes of Wisdom we see emotions from enemies, as we see question marks appear when Zelda is close by to enemies."
bait....

@triforcetimes clearly is mate, you just said the most obvious things on screen lol Look at links sword, never seen that before..... yeah I can see that.... Look Zelda is wearing a hooded cloak similar to BotW/TotK..... yes, we can see that.... Tell me something that you can see in the trailer that ISNT an obvious "Secret"

@@mememan5466 yeah see thats a good point tho! you said that but my guy doesnt say that at all in the video lol, all im saying is most of the thing hes talking about are very obvious things, theres is 1 thing i didnt notice at first glance and that was the objects in the shadow realm cracks, which he does touch upon, he didnt mention how Zelda seems to simply have a straight up jump button in this game and can jump without an item, but then talks about the fact you can walk across the top of the trees..... thats not something you can easily miss watching the trailer for yourself you know?
