Rest in peace Steve Albini and Mimi Parker - thank you for this art.
Thank you for the music, Mimi. Love to Alan and all that her voice reached.
Love and blessings Mimi. Thank you for that beautiful music. Courage Alan
One of the best thing in the music history: LOW
I had a sunflower tattoo 2 years ago to remind myself how fucking good this song is. I can't listen to it on Spotify cause I live in fucking Turkey, so I bought youtube premium just to listen to it without weird ads.

I love this comment. How you are doing well , this year later
Lost my mom, who was my best friend, when I was quite young. In the year or so after, I listened a lot of Low Things We Lost in the Fire. Also Red House Painters - Down Colourful Hill & RHP I & II. Listening to July again, makes me want to cry again. But in a good way. Her name was Julie, but she took her own life in June. To this day, I still can't listen to Low Embrace. Or Red House Painter's Drop or Moments. And there's certain scenes at the movies that I just have to walk out of. Some things in life, and art, cut you to the bone.

I feel you. We got this.
Thank you for your contribution Mimi, rest in peace, more power to Alan and family.
sono così triste adesso
Spent hours in a rocking chair with my daughter listening to this when it, and she, were brand new. This one and Secret Name are 2 of the best reasons to own a turntable.

My first Low album. They say first loves stay with you forever. As moving today as 20 years ago. Love from Cirencester, UK

So true about first loves staying-my first Mogwai album was Come On Die Young and I still find that my favourite album despite it being pretty low down the table for a lot of others-including the band! I've only just gotten into Low and I Could Live In Hope is the only album I've heard (which has been played to death lol) so I'm hearing this for this first time. Got to say I like what I hear big time but for now I prefer "hope"

Also my first Low album, listened to it for months and months after an intense breakup. One of my all time favourite of theirs, out of so many great albums.
I needed to listen to this today. RIP Mimi.
We will miss you Mimi thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us. love to you Alan
This was a world to me, not an album. Thank you, Mimi. My love to Alan, their children, and the extended Low family.
2001 ----> 2021 in this time period I have never stopped listening to this wonderful and exciting album 🔥💖🔥
In Metal is so beautiful.
Low are quietly the greatest band of the last twenty years.
i listened to this album a lot when i was struggling with a severe depression, i even used to play sunflower on guitar. Now i listen to sunflower and it hits so different, like I can handle whatever comes and looking back this album was soothing me through it all. I guess what I want to say is thank you.

Great trip to take & relate. Super glad to read it's an upswing. So good
Beautiful album. All Low's albums are beautiful.
MJK brought me here and wow❤
God bless the great DJ John Peel for putting me onto these yonks ago.
Laser Beam - first slow arpeggio of the first chord (D, in open G) the very first time I heard it, BANG. So simple. Guitar. Open chords. Voice. Modest, plaintive, direct and heartbreakingly perfect. Totally distinctive and perfectly, definitively LOW. And there are many other buried treasures too: nothing was lost in this fire.
Whitetail gets me every time, just want to stay in that for an hour, maybe two.
Remember listening to this sometime in my teen years in the renuion with my best friend after a year or so in her basement absolutely immersed in the music...do not exactly remember how this was being played cuz it was in Korea...we had never really talked about this album or the music we liked...but we both instantly knew we had known and loved this music for some time...I had and have never felt so connected with her...and could not stop crying until the end of the music...Now almost 20 years has passed and I don't really talk to or see her...but it was one of the happiest moments in my life...Love you...my friend, my younger self and everyone of you who is and is not listening to this music...and thank you, Low for leaving us...at least me this memory...wish you well.
Closer from this album and The Plan was our wedding and first dance songs
We have epigenetic trauma / a verifiable family story that my grandma’s house was arsoned when she was a child . This song always gets to me , like a lot of other Low songs do. My grandma and my mom and aunts all had a fear of fire . Imagine almost dying in a fire and losing almost everything you have to it.
Dinosaur Act remains, after all this time, one of my favourite songs. Not just by Low, but by any band.
One of my all-time favorites. Albini’s raw production (intertwined with classical strings) creates a beautiful dynamic of a warm and yet simultaneously cold sound that makes this record perfect for walks in the snow or being surrounded by the fireplace. With this album giving me great visuals of my own over the decade of listening to it, I can’t wait to see what you guys have in store with this video.
00:00 - Sunflower 04:39 - Whitetail 09:42 - Dinosaur Act 13:55 - Medicine Magazines 18:28 - Laser Beam 21:22 - July 26:57 - Embrace 32:34 - Whore 36:57 - Kind Of Girl 40:27 - Like A Forest 42:54 - Closer 48:00 - Untitled 48:49 - In Metal
When I was around 10 years old I was woken by a sound that I can only describe as angels singing. LOW is the only band that has ever come close to that sound and feeling. This was my first Low album I purchased just out of college while working for tower records. Brings back great memories and have been a huge fan ever since. Thank You Low. Loving all your new music as well.
And how can it be that fun When everyone around you dies so young? RIP Mimi Thank you for the music
I'm from Poland and i love you guys since the performance in Białystok in 2018, this was so amazing experience in my my life, i'm grateful for the photo with you from that day and your music is with me everyday, love you and love your music
Oh my ! that reminds me of the time I went to a concert in Munich in 2001 and watch a band playing in a pub with the audience so quiet and stunned it was surreal. "Dinosaur act" and "In metal" really struck me. I've had the chance to attend more of their concerts since. thank you again and again
THIS ALBUM ALWAYS MAKES ME CRY! THANKS LOW... For the Beauty, The Light, The Love and Pure Joy that I feel when I listen to LOW!
I Need your grace alone🌼
The first Low album I bought.....and not my last❤ Mimi will be lovingly remembered.....my very best to Alan and the other band collaborators.
Followed Low since the mid 90s, and saw every live show in SF they did from 1998 - 2018 when I lived there. I watched as the crowds grew larger each tour at the GAMH. Watching the video accompaniment to the TWLITF album reminded me just how spectacular this album was. Especially like that Mimi took a more active role singing solo although Alan/Mimi harmonies really are beautiful.

You should listen to ''ı could live in hope'' album. It's unbelievable.
I love this album and this wonderful band 2 days and ticking
❤
Beautiful and haunting music for a troubled world. Treasure. ❤️
Sometimes I get so blue knowing that every party has to end. I love your music, thank you!
I'm now silently questioning friends with whom I've shared time over the past quarter century for never sharing this band with me. (Then again, they can have the same question about me.) This is amazing. So patient and pure.
Found a very reasonably priced vinyl copy today. Unfortunately no turntable where I'm staying right now, so I'm admiring while listening/watching this. Thanks for putting up the whole record for us.
Awesome. Can't wait to see you guys live again!!

This album is a life changer.
Thank you
Great!
Thanks for this
Nice. Thank you.
Thank you guys, as always
Thank you Low!
My first Low album too. Have been listening to it, and the others, since 2001. Can't wait to see you in Manchester! Thank you for all that you do.
Such a nice treat to revisit this album. A Low fan since "Curtain" but the string of albums on Kranky has so many memories of college and post-college times.
This is heaven
Just ... Thank you Low
this is beautiful.
i love ur soung'sssss. Lullaby the most beautiful
Allan you was in Manresa, You're good man, family man, as you I lost family... Keep your energy in restore your pardon in yourselve. Mimi was an angel, she is another dimension. Acceptit and talk with her always! LOVE IS THE ONLY WAY!!! I will pray for you and your heart. Try to buy a tourmaline stone and white quarz and alwayd bring it with you. Make music in her honor and transform the your dark to a light. We are persons no matter if us are famous or not, the main thing is... To be a good people making your stuff. With all my respects to you. You helped so much in same circustancies. Le Clotêt Avec Garcés( me)
Such an amazing album! Very influencial.
What a beautiful way to revisit this stunning album. This was my first Low record, bought whilst I was a student. I saw you not long afterwards, touring Trust, in St George’s Church, Brighton, UK. I remember the chilly exhilaration I got from the music, and later kissing the girl I was with on a bench on the seafront with the wind beating us. So many great albums and some truly moving shows in which I have felt a special and sometimes unnerving sense of communion. Thanks for staying so true to what you do.
creative geniuses ⚡️
magic. muchos gracias. love from costa rica #flyhighduluth
Merci
Hey Alan, Mimi and Steve! I don’t know if you’ll see this but you’re my number one inspiration, made me want to pickup a drum kit and bass guitar. And Alan ever since you did those Open G livestream showcases, I now am totally converted to that tuning and get so much out of it
Genial
The count in to Sunflower is always a little dopamine hit - every time for twenty years
medicine and magazines.. LOW is amazing
Um dos discos da minha vida.

Thanks for this! Just been getting into Low (don't know why it's taken so long, I love this type of music-Slint, Mogwai etc..just never got round to listening to Low) and been playing I could live in hope relentlessly till this popped up in my thread. Personally I prefer "hope" but this is great-thanks again!
Y'all why isn't this album on Apple Music, I only ever get to listen to it on YT, I miss it 😭😭
Low masterpiece

Think they alteady made it,should come out in September or something like that.
Been a fan ever since my record shop was playing Just Like Christmas in early December 99, and I asked: Who is this? I snapped up Secret Name immediately, then later pre-ordered Things We Lost. Whitetail and In Metal still blow me away. Thanks, Guys! Much love!
it's natures way of telling you somethings wrong
❤ 🦖 🎭 ❤
wait wait... that baby in "in metal" is now 20-something, right ?
By the way, I hope your next album is as utterly-stunning as Double Negative!! No pressure lol!!

If the first three tracks released are any indication, it's going to be one of the their best. "Days Like These" is amongst my favorite tracks of theirs and I've been obsessed with this band for over 20 years.
Curious , 1st time listening to this I somehow expected an Eden ( Australia ) cover .
