I'm pretty sure the claw somehow fucked up the floating-origin fix for the original "deep space kraken" glitch. So yes it is floating point imprecision and this was a common bug in very old versions.

Fun Fact Danny: You can raise the thrust limiter for engines instead to leave them with a linear thrust curve whilst maintaining that absurd power output, just leave the controller on play speed 0x on the maximum thrust limiter value, and use the negative thrust controller for the infinite fuel. Its wonderful, you made the Reverse Flow Overdrive Fuel System.

Considering players are never meant to go underwater, the ocean looks impressively good. That's how you know the devs do their job well; even the parts that are theoretically never going to be seen are perfect.

You have released the craft from the confines of reality. It now exists in the limbo between save files, where the Kraken dwells.

In career mode, when I take a job to test an angine at the launch site or landed at Kerbin, I mount it nozzle up and make a kerbal use it as trampoline. Good engines throw those little bastards to about 465 meters. Next time I'll use the thrust exploit to see if that makes them get a little higher.

For years, I'd on-and-off dreamed of doing Valentine mission, pure stock, using the Kraken Drive exploit I could never get the Kraken Drive to work reliably. Especially not with the big payload you'd need for a self-sufficient mission. Now, with the KAL exploit, I've rolled back to 1.8.1 just so I can reinstall Kopernicus and finally slay this dragon

years after the game’s release there continues to be wacky shenanigans when you think there’d be nothing else to find

Danny and Jeb were flying a ship peacefully, when they heard an explosion. Tey turned to look, and there was a dark octopus-shaped figure. Danny2462 and Jeb stared the kraken in the eyes... Kraken was terrified. It fleed the situation and hid in Bop. Terrified by what it had seen, kraken "gave up". It's invisible ghost has been lurking around through time and space, between different computers and save files, but the legends say that it's physical husk still, to this day, rests on Bop. And a kerbal brave enough to approach the husk, by what the legends say, could learn the secrets the universe, and maybe realise that there may be other lifeforms existing, maybe not the way you would think, but in another universes, where kerbals' home, is considered a "game", but still is so similar. Another legends say that the person who wrote this might have watched exurb1a videos.
