I save my ribbons from gifts I get from people and the wrapping paper to make a thank you card for that person that gave me the gift. They are always surprised to see that I repurposed the wrap and ribbons.

My 8 year old granddaughter has Many hair clips. I've framed pictures of her favorite things (pigs, unicorns, and llamas) and then glued scrap ribbon along the bottom of the frames for her to fasten her hair clips on.

@@swell_gal it's basically a book or journal that you create and decorate with whatever you've got around, usually adhering to a theme. You can purchase images amd papers too. Kinda like an art journal or scrapbook on steroids. Do a search for junk journal on youtube and you'll come up with many artists whose create and teach. Thanks for your comment.

Its going to be difficult to swap my ribbon for your stencils if you bring ideas like this Norrine! 🤣🤣🤣

I got a set of of small jars and separated my ribbon, string, etc in them. Decorative, but it's great to have ideas for practical use! 💕

I love the decorative storage... it inspires me more!

As you know I make cross stitch cards but to make them more special I put on them what I call a fork bow, I have made so many of them and they are fast and easy to make.

If you type in fork bow on Pinterest it will bring it up. A lot depends on the type of ribbon you use.

I almost added the fork bow on to this video!!!! You use the tines of the forks as a 'bow maker'. Super cute and helpful with small bows.

You have some great ideas. I think when I get some issues figured out, it would be fun then to start making crafts. Right now i have a lot of art supplies and yarn. I started crocheting in February.

I’m a yarny crafter. I crochet blankets, scarves, hair bows and scrunchies, and now pillows. I have a friend who’s daughter had gone through Scottish Rite(a cancer treatment center). She’s crafty also with all different kinds. I’ll give her my scraps of yarn (the ends on the wrong side of the knot) and some fabric. Whatever she doesn’t use, she’ll pass on to kids or parents that can do something with them. I have bought many bundles of yarn from Facebook. Most will be someone that doesn’t have the time for it anymore, and there’ll be other goodies mixed in that’ll end up at the cancer treatment center.

I have used my scrap ribbon 🎀🎗 for my scrap book folder, that I made out of a cereal box, 3 years ago, put them on the out side with beads. And all so used in side on my pages.

Hi Norinne! Great ideas! I have been saving fabric scraps to make a wreath. I always save ribbon scraps and now I see so many things that I can do with them! I love to use scraps and recycled things in my craft items. Can’t wait to try some of these!

I recently organized all my ribbon, or at least what I came across so far. I know I have an 18 gallon olive green Rubbermaid tub around here somewhere full of more spools that were hung on a pegboard door cabinet I had in my sewing/craft room at our last home. We left there almost 17 years ago now and have reorganized tub storage so many times, I no longer know where everything is. My stuff wasn't priority because we kept buying more woodworking tools and it got stuffed in the storage area of the basement. That's my winter project! I can't wait. Anyway, I did save my spools! 😁

Here too.... I try and start working around 5am, before everyone signs on and it gets bogged down.

Some very cute ideas and of course I really love the cards using scraps and buttons! Definitely will make the same card you said you were making! I saved this to my Scrapbooking/crafts playlist. This is one of my most favorite videos ever!! I have so many scraps of ribbons, buttons, and fabric. I also have about 100 ¾ or more full rolls of ribbon. Do you want the gift box or messy bow? I didn't know which one you were talking about. Those gift boxes would be cute made out of tape cores, too. Thank you so much for this inspirational video!! I'm looking forward to doing several of these!!

How about forming the Star of David with small twigs (or using a form and gluing twigs to the form) then weaving ribbon scraps between the twigs. You could attach a ribbon to hang them as ornaments. For a card embellishment or home decor craft (maybe on a canvas) use twigs to fashion a menorah and make each candle of the menorah out of a length of a different scrap of ribbon. Make a Hanukkah garland with ribbon scraps tied to twigs and hang the Stars from it? Tie ribbon scraps to the stem of a dreidel so that when it is spun the ribbons flare out.

Buy a small artificial tree in silver or blue, hang hanukah gelt, Star of Davids, blue & silver string lights, tinsel, use your imagination accordingly. I did this, surprisingly my parents loved it, it looked beautiful. However I must say I remain Jewish but since I’ve become a believer in Yeshua and being educated on the actual origin of Xmas, AND Easter I don’t dare bother AMEIN🤷‍♀️

I don't know if I've not watched this yet or you don't have a video on this, but can you talk about how to get started making handmade cards (basic supplies for beginners)? Thanks for your feedback! 💙
