South West of the island there is beach called Daphne beach it is amazing. Amazing restaurant, free sunbeds, amazing reefs for snorkelling with so many fish, really clear blue water and a chance of seeing turtles! You must go here if you go to Zante!

I've been going to Zakynthos for 30 years & just returned from an 8 day break there. Gerakas is a wonderful beach but now marred by the high cost of the sunbeds at 15 euros - must be THE most expensive in Greece. Banana beach is also very nice - again the sunbeds are v.expensive compared to other resorts on the island. Skinari in the N.E of the island is a great place to visit as is Agios Nikolaos with La Storia Taverna being one of the best restaurants on the island serving delicious fresh seafood. If you have never visited the island you are missing out on a jewel of a place!

That water really is an insane colour! Gorgeous!

Gerakas Beach is literally my childhood. I’m English and the only place I’ve been abroad is Zakynthos. We always stay with friends and I was watching this video just waiting for it to come up. Recognised it straight away.

Beautiful, like all the Ionian Islands. Zakinthos, Kefalonia, Lefkatha, and Corfu all have airports that connect with Eu and the UK

Nice video clip. My family comes from Zakynthos. It truly is a beautiful island. I've been fortunate enough to have lived there for a brief period of time. The only part I didn't like was when you got out on the edge of the cliff to take pictures above Navagio Beach. Very dangerous and people have fallen off/died doing the same thing.

I spent 16 years there, it’s a great place to visit, lovely video.

Tony Yes a lovely island. We were there in May 22 for one week and loved it; stayed at the Louros Beach Hotel, Kalamaki. Within a couple of weeks of returning to the UK we booked for this year and can not wait to return.

There is also another amazing place in greece . Its the island syros . Trust me its amazingg. Its my opinion cause im from greece and every year we go to different islands . Ive been to zakynthos as well

3:45 Hahaha it's amazing to see how the cruise ships come to Shipreck Beach and dock their boats reverse, the last one seems to try to be parked between the other two at both sides :DDD

What a gorgeous island! The colour of the water was absolutely stunning. Having a car looked like a brilliant way to explore the Island and the boat trip looked really fun also. Sheena has been to Greece but I've never made it and she's desperate for us to visit together. When we make it Zakynthos is on the list! - Thomas

Great video guys, we have visited this island and it is beautiful. Smugglers cove is great but the white sand is an optical illusion it is actually pebbles on the beach and not white sand as we found out when we swam in from a boat moored off shore.

Great video and informative. How anyone can give a thumbs down I have no idea. We did Zante some years ago and had an equally brilliant holiday. We also hired a speedboat for the day and got into loads of small caves which bigger boats couldn't access. We did Shipwreck Bay 2 weeks after my brother in law and he hid a business card on the wreck and gave us clues and we found it. We did the same thing with some other friends who were arriving the week later - great fun. Sad to see the footage of yesterday of the cliff fall at Shipwreck Bay but luckily no fatalities! Thanks for the video guys!

Nicely produced video, good music choices too. Would you guys recommend staying in Zante town if I'm planning to do small boat trips/excursions frequently during a family vacation, or is the port at Zante town mainly for the large ferries? Thanks a bunch.

Wonderful video! One thing: do not climb the rocks next to the shipwreck beach. It is Extremely dangerous due to frequent earthquakes. Many tourists died falling off the rocks. Use the iron railings.

Zante is really popular for tourists from the UK especially stags and hen do's 18 - 30's weeks away etc. Good to see the beauty in the rest of the island though! :D

That's what we heard! Most of the tourists we saw were from the UK actually ;) But, we still found many quiet spots, could've been due to being there in the off-season 😀

Inside Our Suitcase. You will find that’s in laganas. I’ve been going to Zákynthos for 13years plus. And I’m from the UK. But I do try to avoid laganas and the 18/30s thing. But. If you go there early on when the party animals are still in there caves. It’s another beautiful part of the island. Especially cameo island witch is just along the beach from laganas. As in most holiday resorts there’s places to avoid (kind off). Don’t be put off this beautiful place because of a few bad reports.

Laganas is where the kids go partying avoid this resort in July & August. We have been to Zante seventeen times . In our opinion Alekes is the best resort beautiful beach , lovely bars , lovely restaurant, lovely people , the little town has everything you need , approximately 30 restaurants, 25 Bars , loads of small tevernas , late night music bars . Sport bars , live music venues. Spikeys bar open to 4am . So ideal for families, couples , solo traveler. . We also like Tsivilli , Argassi , Alakanas , Kalamaki . Stunning island a must visit . The locals treat you like family members , the food is probably the best variety and quality you will find anywhere especially the Lamb dishes . Drinks the wine , Cocktails, Mythos larger is so so good . Happy Holidays.

Great video. I have been to Zante 17 times. I love it there. So many friends. Last year I stayed on Dafni beach in a little apt. If you a tourist guide or any advice on the island. Just ask me.

there is no place better than Hellas!!! I was in Zakynthos two weeks ago and I have to say it's more than your video-lots to see and do and explore!!!!
