Tobermory is a beautiful harbour village in the Bruce Peninsula. Surrounded by crystal clear water and the Niagara Escarpment, this stunning town is filled with endless beauty! Here a few things to do while you are there!⬇️
📍Big Tub Lighthouse: Enjoy this adorable lighthouse just 4 minutes from town. Originally built in 1885, the lighthouse is still used to this day! We went during sunset and it did not disappoint!
📍The Grotto-Bruce Peninsula National Park: Located 20 minutes from town, The Grotto offers stunning views of the crystal clear blue water! It feels like you are in Greece! The Grotto is a unique natural wonder and cannot be missed! You must reserve your entry into the park itself and because it is one of the most popular attractions in Tobermory, it books up quickly during peak season. We went in October so it was considerably less busy and easier to make a reservation!
📍Grab a bite! Stop by the Tobermory Princess Hotel & Dining room for breakfast or grab some lunch at the Tobermory Brewing Co. Both have delicious eats to enjoy after exploring the town!
Although there are pros to visiting during peak season (the ferry/boat tours are operating, the town is more lively, and more stores are open) it is definitely more relaxing to go during off season. It is also a lot easier to find accommodations during this time! In the summer most places are fully booked months in advance!
