Havana has really improved! The restoration is beautiful ! El cañonazo as it is called, was to close the bay of Havana at 8 pm. with a chain across to protect the city from pirates. Also I believe the soldiers are dressed in red as the English soldiers who took over Havana for three years. Very historical and colorful!! Great camera work and music. Ya quiero ir!! That weird fruit is called guanabana and it is delicious. So if you ever find one, please don't leave it alone.

Romina I think Borobudur, it is the only remnant of buddhist era a long time ago and City of jogjakarta. Which is located in Central Java. There are so many foreign tourists there because it is old city. You could also come to Jakarta, which is the capital city. But it is metropolitan and modern city

i have been to Cuba 4 time in the last 4 year . stay in Holguin have friend there. This year had plan to go to Havana and Trinidad but the hurricane mess up my plan was not able to travel there was a little upset about that. i love that country i am in my early fifty and plan to retire there . when i am older my parent are from St lucia. I really felt at home from west Indian back ground. i enjoy your video...

I KNOW. It scared me so bad. haha, well you saw me jump in the video. Even though I had one ear covered, it still scared me and hurt. Hi Romina happy to see a piece of Havana in your video,just to let you know tha El Cañonazo is not a show is a ceremony to announce that the doors city are about to close in old Havana ,in that time the Havana was an small village so rounded by a big wall and el cañonazo let people know that the city were about to close ;)

Romina No I've never been to Cuba but my father was Cuban & I lived in Miami for awhile. My Spanish is a Cuban accent. As a matter of fact today I was talking with someone here in NYC were I live now .They asked me if I was Cuban because of my Spanish. But I would love to go one day probably next year if things go well. I think I will be very comfortable over there especially at the beaches.

Romina No not anymore. I wish. Back a few years ago my grandmother & aunt were living in Cienfuegos. But at the time you couldn't visit the island . It's a shame that I never meet her. They say she was incredible. But I know one day I will meet her.Were do you live in P.R.?

Cool video. Cuba seems like an amaxing place to explore and I would love all the classic cars. But there is part of me that would feel guilty contributing to their economy since I have problems with the Cuban government..... Then again if i only went to places i 100% agreed with i wouldnt get to visit anywhere.

Because I needed to go and see it for myself so that I know how to help. I truly believe that the more tourists that go, the more the government will be forced to collapse and the system will change. I hope that the government will make changes. but the cynic in me says they will only make changes to help the tourism industry to help bring money into the country but they will not make changes to human rights stuff or free speech. It is really great that you are able to see your family that is there! It is really awesome for someone like you that is able to see your family now. :)

I am going in October 2017 and I am so excited to meet the people of Cuba. I agree with you Romina, I think tourism and the influence of people who are not under such a burdensome government could help facilitate change.
