Have you heard about 'Honey'? It's a browser plugin that helps you save money on all purchases on every website you visit. It's almost too good to be true, I just bought some groceries online from Safeway and clicked the Honey button during checkout. It tried seven different coupon codes and found one that saved me twenty bucks on a $100 dollar purchase! Totally blew me away! It's software that's a browser plugin, totally safe addition to your web browser, so you don't have to install software to your computer. I actually heard about it from another KZreadr. Here's a link, you don't have to buy anything, it won't cost you anything but it can save you some big bucks!

"Dang it Bobby" - Hank Hill
Chris, solid information! We appreciate it! Planning to start the move from multiple multiple tanks over to a rack system or two! Thanks again!
This was really helpful. Thanks for posting this!
That's good news to hear" Lucky " eat a mouse crawler on his own. Way to go " Lucky "
So glad to hear lucky is thriving 💓
This was a pretty useful video. as you know I do corn snakes. corn snakes don't like to stay coiled all day, and they do alot better with enrichment. Corn snakes like to explore and roam around, so giving them multiple hides helps them alot. Also corn snakes need a good day and night cycle, so they would need the tubs with the window. I would love to get a big ARS rack for my snakes, and some day I would like to jump right into a nice rack system. Right now I am just stacking under bed tote boxes 3 high with heat mats in between them. I hope to move my keepers into nice enclosures though.
I love it so glad to see the little lucky is ok ,a little fighter !! I'm having trouble getting sterile tubs now I want to change my original home made rack but I'm waiting for the tubs . 28 qt are 19"x23"x5" high I think . Or you can do one 41 qt on each shelf instead of two 28s . My vision rack is the 35s with 15"x20"x 3.5" high and my snakes that are about 10 months old now are looking to big so I want to move them up . Have three that are big two that can go a while longer and four that are still small and ok in the small tubs.
This is so needed I’m looking in to getting breeding and needing more info
If there was an award for best snake husbandry you got my vote!
Glad to see Lucky is doing well!
I will be investing in more racks in the near future if all goes as planned.Still teetering on what I want to go with.
Helpful video! I am close to investing in some ARS tub systems too. Do you by chance have any adult females for sale?
You have inspired me to get into breeding ball pythons my male is a banana special and my female is a spider het ultramel and I was wondering if I pair them together if I would get any cool morphs.
I work for a company and we order so much steel that we get awesome prices. My guy who supplies me all my rats is in need of a bunch of rat racks to up sizes his operation. I'm in the process of building him a demo rat rack. With my steel prices at work i'm able to produce the whole rack frame for around $200 witch will hold 20 double wide tubs 2 tubs per layer 10 high. He will provide the watering spouts and lines and tubs on his own dime. He is going to need about 20 racks built. After I fill his needs i'm going to experiment with building snake racks as well. The tubs and heat tape will cost more than the frame. but i still think i can build a quality 20 tub fully functional snake rack for around 1k. If i can sustain my growth over the next year or so I will be in dire need of racks but far from being able to get a FB or ARS rack.

I think good quality and shaped plastic racks that can easily put together are the future. Lightweight to ship them cheap would be a joy for many small and medium sized breeding operations. But for now there are not many manufacturers out there and they want to much money for this type of rack. If it costs nearly as much as a steel one it's not worth to buy. A self build (IKEA) rack often isn't much cheaper too, but you can build a few levels first and upgrade it later. For big breeding operations, heavy and room saving racks are a must. Many self build racks don't allow fast maintenance of the animals like f.x. cleaning. Entrepreneurs like you are needed and will lead to better quality, smart solutions and much better prices.
The reason I went with the ars system was the fact that I could order one tier at a time. I got 2 tiers each of 1065 5040 and 7030 all hybrids and as I grow and the snakes grow I can order another tier with out forking out a small fortune.
Any experience with the 55 series tubs? How do you think they compare to the 50 series?
What do you use as breeding cards?
Very helpful video. For comparison. How many grams does Bobby and the big female weigh?

I was gonna ask the same thing, what is the weight limitations for these racks?
Justin Kobylka only has one 70-size rack. All the rest are 50-series size for all of his adults. Ditto for mutation creation.
totally random but i just got back from a local rep show and i picked up 500g F Pewter Lesser Orange Ghost for 300... you think that was a decent deal?

female yearling snake with a visual recessive gene... $300 is a killer deal. You did good.
How do you feel about the grey tubs with a window? With or without a hide?

Ball pythons generally don't like having that window in the front. The tub is already a hide for the snake.

If they come with a window they are the big enough model to support a hide.
