    I think he is a product engineer who is explaining the machine and not your run of the mill salesperson. He did a great job. It wasn't just passion as much as it was his deep knowledge base that made him a great presenter.

    What ever happened to having a paper trail map and actually having to know what trails to take to make a loop to get back to your vehicle? Also, why the heck do you need a factory radio on something like this? I go to the mountains to get away from that crap! Atleast it looks like Polaris has finally done some improvements that should have been done 5 years ago; captured bolts on the belt cover, stronger roll cage, and better belt life.

    I just went to Jericho atv festival in Berlin New Hampshire. There had to be over 1000 rzr I didn't see one with a broken belt or broken anything! I have a yxz 1000r with 36.5 hours and it's on the second clutch and that just blew at Jericho. I only seen about 5 yxz there and mine burnt out the clutch. That's 20% of the Yamaha product at Jericho. The cockpit isn't big enough to leave your foot on the clutch I'm 6'1" and I've never burnt a clutch in my life that's why I bought the YXZ. After the first clutch I had to pay for a Barnett clutch and the recluse clutch kit to ride it in the state I bought it!!! Needless to say I will never buy another Yamaha product again!!! It's easier to change a belt on the trail then a clutch and just let me tell you that getting towed out of the woods is the worst thing for a machine you can only go in the direction that you're being towed and trails are not straight!!!!

    No Limit RD idk if a turbo would be the way to go with the G. If it was big enough to produce real power I have the feeing that folks who work their General more than they play (trails etc) would be eating belts. I was thinking more along the lines of a supercharger...or even just a far more aggressive fuel/ignition map. Another thing that would really wake one up is a shorter engine air intake.

    Would like to see a metal gas fill tube and robust cap with self-sealing feature in case you tip. You would think they would have learned after all the lawsuits. Aside from broken belts, fire is the real bane of these machines. I know of two women who died horrible deaths. It happened where we ride in MOAB, UT- 2017. It all went down within literally seconds. Their P*laris tipped on it's side. The fuel fill area immediately cracked and fuel rushed out and hit the exhaust- done. They did not have enough time to get out. R.I.P. They need to invest more in safety and reliability. They can keep the radio. Those seats also look slippery and is there any cockpit intrusion material underneath? Other than that it's a very decent machine if you don't mind over paying for it.

    AZBADBOYz ......The golden rule is: Something has to give. The belt is intended to be the cost effective sacrificial part. Not meant to last forever. One must learn to use the CVT correctly, carry an extra, inspect it often, and go prepared with the few tools to replace it on the trail in 15 minutes. It’s a very small price to pay in comparison to catastrophic drivetrain repairs and ruining the entire trip.

    @hybridamericandude3575

    work hard....Absolutely not. All belt problems I’ve had and my fellow riders have had regardless of brand are purely the fault of the driver and the conditions. When you ride with a bunch of nut jobs, sh!t happens. Just always be prepared to pay the price for those “hold my beer, watch this” moments. Doesn’t happen often but eventually does to someone now and then. I’ve been in this for a long time and seen some crazy things. All brands have there strengths and weaknesses. We do enjoy some friendly competition and like to go home with some good stories. The worst part of changing a belt on anything is the darn things always seem to blow at the worst possible time and place to change it out. That’s why I highly recommend inspecting them often to have some confidence that it’s worthy of the hell its about to endure.

    @@wraith511802003 CVT is a parasitic loss pile of garbage.. Do your research, the utv mfg like Polaris and Canned Ham do it because it was easy, you have a 30-40%! loss through it pus the connection to the dirt is not there. Keep riding the bandwagon, Honda and yamaha can create a machine with less power on paper but put more power to the ground. How many cars run cvt reliably? not many...Look at the recall count/TSB and other plagued issues. Why do you think a 5speed honda or any manual car will last longer,,,,think about it. BTW, these are not made up assumptions, The numbers dont lie...A gear driven (clutch) transmission has a NET KW efficiency of 80-85% on a machine with 120hp will have 90 hp useable since drive train dynamic loss is invalid bc you dont have a slipper unit, a CVT/AUTO has a NET KW of 70-74% so an engine 180hp puts down 126hp minus dynamic drive train loss so about 118hp useable............I would say Tyler is not the ignorant one here,,,unless you are a polaris fanboy with no Engineering knowledge.
