    @@Crimbtw also making your child get a job is very wrong. for one, it’s not their job to fend for themself. as long as they are with you, they are your responsibility. even in low income families, i was never forced to get a job because a parent decides to have a child, not the other way around, and by doing so you signed up to take care of them whenever they need it. you can discuss it with your child, but at the end of the day if they’re not ready then they’re not ready. you can teach a child how to handle money responsibly, how to have responsibilities, how to take care of themself without forcing a job upon them

  • @susannah8342

    @susannah8342

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@babybrin5118 I think getting your kid a job is alright as long as it's been agreed upon by both the parent AND the child. It teaches them how the workplace operates and gives them experience, it also gives them a bit of money that's theirs which they can do whatever they want with it. However, if it is just the parent that wants the kid to get a job and the kid is opposed to the idea, the kid is at least owed an explanation as to why, and it should be made clear what the benefits are and if the kid is still opposed then it shouldn't be forced onto them.

From the first parent you can't expect wisdom with age, from the second...that's that kind when they die and you are all grown up and you do have it all together, still you look at their picture and knowing that you lost your best friend and free life coach forever makes it feel all hurt and pain, because they were through your growing pains but didn't live long enough to see you're ok, doing well and you can never return the favor and say thank you. @Tristan Lane Its not much a view its reality. Parents don't think there child is smart enough to make up a reasonable debate so they come back at it with aggression because they have no idea how to handle it because parents should be the ones to know many things and teach there child that. Its not based on perspective, its reality

One time my dad pulled that crap during an argument and I answered back with: “Just because you’re an adult and have responsibility over me doesn’t mean you’re right all the time.” To his credit, he did say that that was true, but he just needed to taste a sliver of victory in the argument, so he said: “Still, I’m right most of time.”

    And they think taking our devices away will magically change our behavior. My mom says i need to stop using my phone so much, but she WALKS DOWN THE STAIRS with her eyes glued to HER phone screen. Even when she goes outside SHES LOOKING AT HER PHONE. Even MY DAD has told her to not be on her phone so much. Even when shes driving she’ll have her phone on her lap and she’ll be looking at it. And NOBODY believes me when i say that she drives while looking at her phone, so i literally took a video and picture for proof that she does. And whenever I ask “why?” my parents use the “bEcAuSe I sAiD sO” or “JuSt bEcAuSe” and whenever I ask them for a *VALID* reason they just say the same thing. And whenever my mom is in the wrong in an argument she’ll just start making up the most *INVALID* points.

    I know many people mentioned this already, but the most annoying things perents do by far is the fact that they can't handle losing arguments no matter what. Whenever they start to lose, they always say one of their "safety lines." This can be "because I said so" or "I'm the parent" or "I don't want to hear it" or they just reword their side of the argument like saying "go to bed because it's bedtime". Worst of all is when they just completely ignore you. This drives me insane.

    I just hate that when parents ask you "are you depressed", and when you say yes and explain why, they treat it like it's nothing. You be saying they are the ones that are making you depressed, and when you explain why, they deny it, get mad, or make you into the guilty one by saying "you are ungrateful" or "you are unthankful." Then they bring up all of these things that they have done for you. I don't care about how many needs and wants you have given me if you are treating me like shit. These parents are so entitled and act like just because we are kids, they think that they don't have to care about how they make us feel. It's always about the parents wanting respect, but when it comes to a kid wanting respect, they treat it like it's nothing. You really downbad as a parent when you think that just because you have a job, money, a car, and a house and your kid doesn't, you can just be a bully to him or her with everything. They are going to complain about being a timid kid, yet when you are winning an argument against them or when you are expressing your opinion about something, especially about them as parents or their parenting, they either wanna beat you, kill you, yell at you, threaten you, or punish you because they get too insecure as parents and they let their pride as parents get the best of them. Parents weren't meant to abuse their power. It seems like they care about power over their kid more than their realationship with their kid. They are mentally and emotionally abusing their kids with no remorse for it. Forget the fact they don't know how to treat you as a kid. They don't even know how to treat you as a human being. They don't care about the painful memories that they put in your conscious, and how it will affect you forever. Parents see their teens as slaves. Not living, breathing, human beings. It's shameful when society and parents thinks this way because when a girl is a slave to a boy, when citizens are slaves to a dictative government and are trying to earn their rights, they feel so sorry for them, but when it comes to a kid standing up against a dictative unfair parent, they see a kid as the evil anf unruly one that needs help. This society is hypocrtical. Parents let their anger issues get in the way of understanding and listening to their kids. Whatever happened to empathy, consideration, patience, understanding, and affection? I rarely see it with parents these days. It seems like all these parents know how to do is get mad and use their anger issues to solve problems with their kids. They don't care about taking accountability for the wrongs that they do their kids, and it shows.These type of parents are the parents to have anger issues when you call them out on their anger issues. They force you to surpress your feelings and emotions instead of expressing how you feel about things like the true and real human being that you are. It's shameful how they want us to tell the truth about everything except about them as parents. These Christian toxic parents claim that they are so godly, but when did God ever approve of people being treated like slaves. That goes for kids too. Right? They be using the bible to defend their ways as toxic parents and to manipulate their kid into thinking that they are problem. They are being evil without even realizing it. Smh. This is the worst parenting generation I've ever seen.
