I'm the exact opposite. I'm an autistic savant who's prodigious with 'Math' numbers and 'encryption', but I struggle with language. However, I've been trying my hand at poetic creative writing! What do you think? God Has A Pencil, Derron E Short: Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol - The entire IMF has been disavowed and the President has initiated ghost protocol. I'm to take you to Miami where we are going to hang the Al Qaeda bombing on you and your team, unless MI6 'Charles' were to escape after assaulting Eric. Be strong, Samson. *Bows head My leprechaun vampire 'Werewolf' spirit is s 12,000 years old 'Jedi' from the 6th universe who has arrived here through a 'worm hole' and as Modest Mouse says, 'the universe works on a math equation' and the future can be seen. These time traveling, temporal agent concepts were discussed in the movies 'Knowing', 'NEXT', and 'Minority Report' and the science fiction writer Philip K Dick who wrote the stories behind these movies was a human prophet who was secretly contacted by the Biblical Elijah. Poem: 'Russian' 'Batman' Dawn of Justice. It all ends in Peru. A 00 has two kills. 'Rude Awakening' 'Look in the mirror' 'Lie' 'Word' The Book of Eli. Memorize the Bible. Rote memory. Semantic. Savant memory. Child prodigy. 'Terminator' 'AI' 'Beings' The robotic soldier malfunctioned. 'Nanites'. Replicant detective Sharkey. Blade Runner. Dan is the 'mark' You have a wife in hell. Eve. Jedi Rey #1. Jill - CIA 'Johanna' is a double for Germany. You're my #2. 'Spy' 'Faith' How could I defend Myself from My children? There was a war in Heaven, Michael and his angels fought His son Lucifer and his angels, but they did not prevail and there place was no longer found in Heaven. Revelation 12:8 I'm '9', upside down (d), inside out (MI6), and one minute ahead of time (precognition) DeathFromAbove1979 'This will be the death of you' @ Bedazzled Avicci vampires can take both male and female disguises. Coded 88 94 'Spy' for God 'Encrypted' 'Math' Numbers. Game Theory. Star Wars is coming. I hope you enjoyed reading this. I'm also a big Philadelphia Eagles fan! I'll be using a different writing style. IN 2018 CARSON WAS 1 - 5 AGAINST +.500 TEAMS!!! Wentz lost to TEN (9-7), MINN (8-7-1), to the NFC division rival Cowboys TWICE! (10-6), and was BLOWN OUT 48 - 7 by NO (13-3). Wentz also lost to CAR (7-9) after blowing a big lead. Carson's ONLY win last year against a +.500 team was a very close 4 point contest against IND (10 - 6). By the way, over the 2017 and 2018 seasons, Carson's record against +.500 teams was a dismal 4 - 7! WHO YOU PLAY MATTERS!!! Basically, Carson's only wins in 2018 were against much weaker opposition, and those games have had the effect of padding his stats. In 2018 Wentz's wins against -.500 teams were as follows: WAS (7 - 9), two wins against a lousy NY team (5 - 11), and a win over the Jaguars (5-11) who were terrible last year. Carson Wentz's 2018 overall record was not very good at 5 - 6. Nick Foles on the other hand led the Eagles to a 4 - 1 regular season record, and had a playoff win over Chicago, WITH THE EXACT SAME PLAYERS THAT SURROUNDED CARSON WENTZ!!! And unlike Carson, Nick had BIG WINS over multiple first place teams, including TEX (11-5), LA (11-3), and a playoff win over Chicago (12-4). True story: I'm suing Marple Police, CID Delaware County, PA State Police, and the FBI for $1 for defamation of character, unlawful invasion of privacy, and emotional distress. All civil and punitive damages will be awarded to the South Florida Wildlife Center bird sanctuary and all damages will be accounted for by the FBI. A federal PA judge will be shutting down lead investigator 'Dan Spencer's' (Upper Main Line YMCA 1994 and Frog Hollow Racquet Club 2001 - 2002) fraudulent investigation that was motivated by greed and sexual deviance with a court ordered injunction. In 2022 my FBI counterintelligence agent father will be releasing decades worth of electronic surveillance to FBI 'John', working a cover job at Mercy Fitzgerald hospital, that will demonstrate that lead investigator 'Dan Spencer' runs Delaware County's satanic pedophile police ring and that 'Dan' colludes with and covers the Italian mafia. This surveillance has a warrant attached to it signed by a deceased U.S. judge. I'm an FBI informant and I work for the CIA. Tom, you're now under FBI, CIA, and NSA surveillance. Are you my source? Have a nice day.

I get this! I've just graduated from English Literature BA (although I did take creative writing in my first year). Whenever people find out that I took English Literature, the usual, 99.9% of the time response is, 'So, you wanna be a teacher then?'... I had an AMAZING moment the other night, at a party, when one guy found out I took English Literature and said 'So you wanna be a writer then?' (which I do). In that moment, I wanted to get down on one knee and propose to him I was so happy! That response never ever happens! Sure, it's still a bit of an assumption based on my uni course but for me it was refreshing because that is what I wanna do/am doing/am. Makes me happy because other people responses seem to be so money orientated or whatever. Take off your money goggles folks and do what you love :)

This is brilliant! I also studied creative writing, so I know your pain - people used to say that the only thing that studying creative writing allows you to do is to teach creative writing. Don't worry - there'll always be jobs available for people who can write. Y'know, properly. I got a job, and you can do it too :D I used to get annoyed when my housemates accused me of having an 'easy' degree that 'doesn't require much work', and then got mad at me for staying in to write when they were going out clubbing.

You know, I had one of those "useful" majors and careers. I studied computer science, and before my chronic illness set in, I had almost a six figure job. But being unable to work for a while has given me time to reflect. Would I have done differently for my education? Probably not. But at the same time, as I reflect on what I want to do if I can return to work, working in the tech field doesn't sound appealing or meaningful. You know what does? Writing. My talent and interest are not necessarily in fiction, but it is in creative writing nonetheless. I got (and get) plenty of annoying questions as a CS major/professional programmer. A lot of expectations. But, I'd rather do and contribute what is most meaningful to me. If that's writing, that's what I'll do. I don't mind leaving behind something outwardly prestigious and "non-risky" salary-wise. I'd rather be true to myself. Even being a programmer, geek, and technology lover, I think I've been more affected by writers and artists than I have technologists. So, I say, be you,

"I would argue that the human narrative is also important." Nancy, I am DYING. THESE ARE SO ACCURATE. I hear deviations of these EVERY DAY. "Wow I wish I could've been *brave* enough to major in creative writing. I just thought it was more sensible to be an English major, I guess." Or the one I hear a lot is, "Oh, you don't have to worry about finals. I mean, what do you even DO for a creative writing final?" Or, my favorite: when I'm sitting quietly during family gatherings or social events, everyone's like "Are you going to include this/me in one of your future novels?" Like no, you're not THAT cool???? But hey, I guess it comes with the territory lol. At least we're lucky enough to be in a field that hones our specific passions :D

Well, kids, I'm the old fart with No College, well I did go to nursing school at age 53 and that was too much vocation shock for me. I was an oilfield welder for over 30 yrs. Spent time in the US Army, preached for 25 yrs. and a few other things I have done. I'm a talker with a lot to say but people get tired of me jabbering all the time. Writing now is my escape to a place where I can talk all I want to. What I'm trying to say is, young folks y'all need to have something to write about. I have no formal training as far as writing goes. But in all my years of schooling, high school and below there have been certain teachers that have seen something in me as they were always pulling me aside to do special things for them. It happened in the Army too, and in almost everything I have put my mind to. I have written several letters to higher-ups than y'all have had to deal with but I got what I wanted. I have written over 20 short stories and have a book started. I have a lot and I mean a lot of blue Post-it notes with several short stories ideas on everyone. I write what I know and at 69 that's too much for here. Don't be discouraged but for now, write what you know and get the feel of putting it all down. You may read it and say what was I thinking or dang that went pretty well. It can sure make a bad day better. Writing lets you free to be you and the telling of your story. Vacations, proms, homecoming, fights with bros and sis, or a long walk or fast ride, life as you know it is volumes of things to put together as a or your story. You Can Do It !!!!! :)

Omg. I'm in my last year of law school and am writing the rough draft of a novel and people can be so "helpful" in telling me how unstable publishing is, how unlikely it is that anyone will read it, how "niche" my book is, how I should make it "less feminist so it'll appeal to more readers," etc. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR VALUABLE INPUT. And that's not even counting the people who tell me that it's not lucrative and that I should stick to law, which I hate with the fiery passion of a trillion suns. "Why would you leave law for writing?" "....Because I feel decidedly more happy writing than I do analyzing causes of action for a lawsuit, that's why." "But...money, tho." "But...feeling fulfilled, tho." TL;DR -- I know your pain, girl.

I wish we had creative writing classes where I live. The universities in my city don't really foster creative writing here. We have a lot of design and music courses, but none for creative writing, and it really bothers me. The closest I can get to creative writing is studying English&American Studies or German Studies. And I only dared studying English&American Studies after having finished my economics degree, which killed my creativity anyway. XD Props to all creative writing students, I envy you for being able to study what you're passionate about.

I should do one of these for microbiology. I feel like any graduate student gets asked a lot of odd questions about their "life plan". Also, awkward grad school mixers are awkward.

Hey, one thing always makes me wonder. People think you can make more money in the novel sector, but actually ist wrong. The most money publishers make is in the textbook sector(or specialist books? im german im not quite sure how you call the books on marketable topics).

Ha! Funny! Believe me, as a 40-yr-old prison guard, I hear even MORE digs at my writing (even though I've published numerous short stories and two novels), things I might vlog about one day. They think if you're not recreating the success of Stephen King (my writing genre), then you're wasting your time. lol
