If LaMelo was drafted by the Warriors, LaVar would’ve complained that his son is on the bench, Curry is washed, Warriors are old, Kerr is an idiot. Would’ve been a mess.

LeVar got his children to the point that they could make a difference in the NBA much less make it there. You obviously don't understand what it's like to have a strong father in your corner and please don't tell me personal experiences because if that was the case you would understand his intentions. Alot of people were thrown off by his machismo but it's who he is and in a sense who they are as men. Too bad they are prone to injuries and THAT'S the REAL problem or they would be REAL game changers. He almost had all his children in the NBA. Wtf are you doing?

Point spot on! If I had to make the choice between a life of having to live under Lavar a Magic's unhinged hyperbole the monastery would be a no brainier. I got recommended a "BallIsLife" video recommended to me in 2017 of their Chino Hills run and seeing that lead to me watching the 2017-2018 season almost every night. To think this is one of those infamous "what if" cases for the NBA is sad man.

This was a really well made video! I have always been intrigued by these dudes since I first saw them play in person back in their AAU days. In the NBA Lonzo had a ton of pressure on him in LA which no-doubt derailed him. LiAngelo I feel has always had too lofty of expectations in order to "prove himself", I think his coaching staff had a grudge against him in Greensboro which is why he played so erratically. And LaMelo has the keys to his franchise which is everything you could ever ask for... but its Charlotte... Also, I hate to sound like a hater, but it is funny how Lonzo finally shot the 3-ball really well for his final 35 game stretch of his career (for now) and it has resulted in him going down in history as one of the league's darling "what-ifs" in a similar vein to D-Rose or Brandon Roy. People conveniently ignore that during this career best run he had the 6th worst in the league 2P% of 42% (minimum 383 FGA, 231 qualified players). Or the fact that his net rating was still minus 1, his career best. He also failed to draw fouls (0.8 FTA/G) or make his free throws at even a league average rate (his 75% career best compared to 77% league average that year). Not to say Lonzo wouldn't continue improving, but people like PG13 romanticizing him out to be the best point guard in the league because he could pass on the fast break and got hot from the beyond the arc, are being hyperbolic.

People can hate on Lavar Ball all they want, at the end of the day Lavar was able to get 2 of his 3 sons into the league. That within itself tells you that the man knew what he was doing. There has only been between 4,000 and 5,000 players to ever play one game in the league, that’s less than 0.001% of the current U.S population. Lavar’s goal was to get his sons in the league after that it’s on the ball brothers to produce and that they did. The only flaw that I would say was a problem was that the boys were over worked and may have had injuries prior to the league that we the fans never knew about. Lavar did what 99.999% parents hope to do, usher his sons into success.

He played Gelo hurt in the JBA to rep the BBB when he needed to be preparing for the NBA draft. And Melo... got yanked out the 10th grade because LaVar could not check his ego and wanted to run the Chino Hills program. Math that up...guy

@@I.am_Groot see you running with narratives. Gelo played in the JBA cause his overseas numbers wasn't respected. Gelo avg double digits and melo avg 5 at 16 yet all the hype was around Lamelo who barely played. Lavar took Melo out of school cause he was to famous to attend school. This dude was driving a Lamborghini to school . We ALL know public school kids will praise you for the 200$ Jordan they would treat him like a god for having a Lamborghini. But I bet ya ass won't gon give Lavar credit for starting the JBA for Lamelo when he had no where else to go and giving the NBA the idea for GLeague ignite?

@@Goodguy910 Gelo struggled to rebound against slow white guys in Lithuania it was easy to see then that outside his jumper he did not have skills on his brothers level. At the time LaVar yanked a 14 year old Melo out of high school pops said it was to home school and home train his youngest to prepare for UCLA. Dude was ALL IN on the NCAA until Gelo got suspended a month or so later. If you think the Ignite spawned from LaVar then you are just uninformed. It happens. You probably think the ideas that ended up becoming NIL money for college players started after Lonzo Ball got to UCLA so hey stay in your lane or educate yourself. I prefer some truth mixed in with my hype but do you

@@I.am_Groot What’s the truth about Lavar? His sons are all professional basketball players. He never committed a crime. He started a business. He used to be a strength trainer. The hate is ridiculous when black men don’t take care of their children.
