That's great you got the harvester paid off. Man, if your thinking of replacing it you should take a really hard look at wheel harvesters. A lot more comfortable for the operator, and a lot more productive as well. And now that you're running the buncher in front of the harvester, the learning curve on a dangle head will be a lot easier than you would think.

My guy absolutely hates working on the machines. He whines and snivels. But he has 2 choices... work on it (alone or with me) to get back to moving wood, or go home. And if he goes home, he isn't coming back. He gets paid a real decent wage, and he gets paid a full week even when he has to stay home because of some issue that has us holding off. I think that kind of support for his family merits some wrenching now and again. And he does. But he snivels. I let it slide. Not worth the fight.

Hi John!!😀😀 Good to see you buddy!!😀😀 Sounds like you have been a busy person lately. How many hours are on the 501 ?? I used to run my harvester's until they had about 6000 hours on them and would get a new one. But I have been slowing down lately because of my age and health. So I decided to just keep patching together the harvester I have. It's got a little over 14,000 hours on it now and it kinda nickels and dimes quite a bit because of old hoses and packings among other things. But it's hard to spend 650,000 on the machine I would like. So I'll just keep puttering along with it. Take care my friend!! TTYL!! Logger Al
