I started riding at 55 years old. I’ve been riding almost everyday for three years. The most important thing for a new rider is to keep their eyes up. Don’t look down at the board. Your brain uses the horizon to keep balance. And it helps to see hazards far in advance. Ride safe. Buy the best board you can afford. The better quality boards are easier to ride. Worth every penny.

i think a very important caveat should be addded to this, YOU SHOULD ABSOLUTELY BE LOOKING AT THE GROUND. i had my gtr2 for 4 days. broke my arm being launched off the board hitting a messed up piece of sidewalk that stopped the board. So here my tip, Only ride fast and look ahead of you on paths youve covered before and know are bump free, if you are riding unfamiliar side walks/paths take it slow and observe the ground WHILE looking slightly forward. My accident happend because i was looking for cars at an approching intersection and not what was right in front of me. I hope this saves someone a fractured radius.

Just, Be, Super, Duper, Aware, of your surroundings, at all times. Thats gotta be the one good thing to take away when starting off, drive like everyones trying to hit you, a football might pop out of those pushes that you are driving next to, so many things.

Best advice. I can give a newbie is to keep both feet as close to the trucks as possible this will stop any speed wobbles. Other things include: lean forward a bit when you start off or accelerating; lean back before you brake and only gently apply the brakes or you will superman off the front. My trucks are factory loose and never get speed wobbles, all about weight distribution.

I have been skateboarding and longboarding for a long time. Just recently got a GTR Carbon and this thing is absolutely fantastic! I am off road as much as possible and LOVE it. Going to save for a Hadean to get more speed and range.

As somebody who has done downhill long boarding for eight years I thought I was just gonna be able to hop on and go as fast as I wanted but there is definitely a learning curve

Riding is the same but the torque is seriously no joke. This isn't my first e board and it is incredibly powerful

Great chat guys. All good advice. I am socking away the $ towards my first purchase and as a newbie (59 years old and havent been on any sort of board since the 70s LOL) it is these sort of chats that keep me motivated towards that goal. Have decided to go for the GTR bamboo 2 in 1 option for all the reasons you mention and, even though i know that I will probably end up thinking the Hadean would have been sweeter, it will allow me to switch it up between AT and street whilst being more than enough for what I need and leave a little more cash for protective gear, bash gaurd etc. Thanks for all the fantastic amount of valuable content that you share on different platforms it is awesome and really shows your commitment to your product and love for the ride. wicked stuff. Always wanted a board and these are great tips and things to think about. I passed out from the heat riding my ebike and smashed into a tree, if it wasn’t for wearing a helmet I might not be here. Always got to have respect for the vehicle and the learning curve.

I bought the hadean carbon as a new rider, i learned pretty quicky, started slowly, i still dont max out the speed haha, but super fun! And the quality of the board is amazing

my first board was a GTR carbon (pre-ordered) and then i bought a Hadean (pre-ordered) and being a Evolve customer for sometime now i can tell u that u need to do something about your Stores around the world, i live in Italy and the fact that im forced to buy ONLY from Germany Evolve while for example France Evolve is at my 'doorstep' is mind-blowing! Let's talk about bushing since u talk about this in this video too ...my GTR has 3300+ km and i never got the chance to buy new bushings because they are always "SOLD OUT" at the Germany store and the option "notify me when back in store" dsnt work or they actually never restock. I think this is detrimental for your company bcs ppl like me are forced to buy from others company like Rip tide in order to maintain the proper functionality of their board! U can go on the Germany store right now as to day and i guarantee u those bushing are Sold-out. That is also true for other type of items too... Conversion Kits ecc. never saw the chance to buy Prisma led for my Hadean for example. Sorry for my bad English . Plsssss Unlock the other stores PLssss

Always helpful. I'm still happy with max speed at 25km. I've had a close call with lights red so I started slowing down, then green so I accelerated off balance and I could just run 3 steps to gain control. Any faster would have been a problem. This is just while commuting to work.

Hello, I just bought a Hadean Carbon and one of the battery cells is damaged, it shows up in red, I already sent it to the technical service here in Spain for the first time, so it's under warranty, should I change the battery? I suppose there will be more cases, if someone could tell me something, thanks
