yeah, consolization completely killed Thief, same goes for Deus Ex and many other franchises, and pretty much the reason why pc vs console gaming still have hostility - not because platform exclusives or different controlling methods, but this losses sustained during early years of cross platform games, destroyed franchises, bankrupt companies and how it influenced development of future games consoles was too weak to handle pc games, game design philosophy too different, it's not just hardware difference - player "culture" too, so sacrifices were made to make them cross platform - cut maps, simplified writing, simplified controls, simplified game mechanics, downgraded visuals, checkpoint system, auto camera, aim assist, reworked ui for tv, list just goes on current generation of gamers - all those young kids nowadays wasn't even alive back then to understand how much we loose and how it changed modern gaming industry, cuz a lot of these problems still persist to this day, yet became completely normal thing

We have normalised mediocrity especially with the recent crop of games and we have allowed developers to take more money from us as they continue to give us excuses.

I so wish they would remake/remaster Thief Deadly Shadows ...I loved that game.

What? No, Garrot killed all the villains. Switched the eye of the Trickster Lord. Victoria sacrificed her life to give Garrot a chance to kill Karras. Now Garrot killed the Hag with Glyph magic. The next game... we don't talk about that.

@@SoloReacTalk i think in Deadly Shadows some npc mention she is not dead, but regenerating/regrowing now somewhere out the picture
