Yeah, pretty amazing. Read up where it's also called a Thermal Lance. DeNiro also used one in the movie the Score. The guys on Mythbusters tested on on a large safe, and found while it took a while, it would indeed cut through the safe, though it destroyed the contents. Still, if properly done, plausible. Wonder how often it's been tried, or successful?

i couldn't say it all last time! But this is a tool like a cutting torch. The bar lasts 3-5 minutes. They used these to scrap the 911 disaster. This is an expensive way to cut ordinary steel, but it's the best for stainless steel, cast iron, and other metals that won't cut with a torch. Concrete, and for that matter, any material will destruct under it's influence. It cannot be stopped, by any material in the universe. With magnesium wire inside, it is a spectacular sight, at 14000 degrees!!
