It's definitely worth the money! We aren't partnered with them, yet we can't stress enough about how good it is :)
Will check the SIR plugin out. Got a suggestion for an amplitude envelope plugin? Sanford ADSR is discontinued and not freeware yet.

sorry for the late reply, I think you'd be good with Pro-L2 with some attack or you can use saturators, they're basically clippers. The cool thing about Standardclip is that you just lower the clip threshold instead of having to dial in the input and compensate with the output
