At 6:37. PTH facilitate the Ca2+ reabsorption through both the luminal membrane Ca2+ channel & vascular membrane Na/Ca pump, resulting in increasing Plasma Ca2+, but shouldn't the plasma Na+ be reduced due to exchanging action of the Na/Ca pump? I am confused about why they are both increased in plasma concentration?

The mechanism is yet still not fully clear. But it is said that the Thiazides down-regulates specific magnesium channels in the DCT cells --> Leading to magnesium wasting.

Amazing work again! Thank you! I just have one question: You mentioned that in Diabetes DI the ADH is working fine but the receptors are not. My understanding of DI is that ADH is not working and that is why the body is not retaining water? At least this is what I recently read in my disease process class AKA Adult 1.

There are two kinds of DI. One is nephrogenic which is a kidney issue and the other comes from a lack of ADH production.

For the metabolic alkalosis, does the H+ move from the blood to the tubule cell because of concentration gradient when the electrical gradient pulls the H+ into the lumen of the tubule. And does it move passively or is it facilitative diffusion? Thank you for the help. Your videos are a god send!
