The 2-7-2 is not supposed to be read the usual way, but rather horizontally with the goalkeeper in their usual position being counted as part of the 7. So 2 wide players one flank, 7 players in the central zones including all half spaces from the gk at the bottom to the striker at the top, and 2 more wide players on the opposite flank.
Welcome to Juventus.

After our disastrous season and relegation despite having half decent players, I'd love to see this guy at Birmingham City.

2-7-2 includes the goalkeeper, because he plays the most important part
Good days are finally ahead for Juve. The chains are freed from Allegri. All respect to Allegri but we didn’t have the team for him to succeed. Time for Motta to cook

No respect for him at all. Good riddance. So, the team wasn’t good enough for him to succeed? They were good enough. He was just useless.

@@markg2307 well like I said the team we have isn’t for Allegri. He likes his experienced players and defensively minded players. We have a young team and more offensive players. It was always going to be A struggle idk why we brought him back

@@iamdomooo the last 2 years he was able to bring in his own garbage that didn’t perform. Paredes, Pogba, Kostic, they brought morata back, etc. then the a-hole sits Alcaraz and Djalo for spite against management. He’s devalued players and is the most useless coach who was ever considered relevant. No serious club would hire him.
