At @6:43 and then again at @6:52, anyone know what (spring loaded?) tool that is? Looks like a small gun with an orange spring. Also, if you playback the rollover, it shows the deputy's speed at 94mph - truly incredible he walked away from that... Did not look survivable...

Rolling is actually very safe in modern cars. Its suddenly coming to a stop which is lethal. Rolling isn't deadly with modern seatbelts and airbags.
@jonyemm

@@redacted3610incorrect. Rolling is very dangerous. Centrifugal force can be deadly; basically can remove limbs like it is nothing, especially when they are flailing around hitting things. Airbags dont do much of anything in a rollover since they are designed to deflate basically right after they inflate.

ASB 8.50, expands to 20.5" made of steel (primarily intended to break windows). Some departments have transitioned to automatic spring batons. Some states determine this to be a deadly weapon inline with spring load switchblade knives. How you can tell it's an ASB 8.50 is when the officer deploys it close to the window, and you'll see a puff of glass before it shatters. None of which appears here, but 6:43 might be the hand held EDC spring-loaded window breaker (not sure model type, just assumptions). Edit- 6:43 looks more like a compact cs pepper ball launcher (uses N2 cartridge), that would be a first for me if confirmed some LEO use them.

It's a pepperball gun. It's CO2 loaded.
one thing i learned from watching 100's of chases: if a trooper crashes or gets hurt, the aggressiveness goes through the roof. it's like going from 2 stars to 5 in gta.
@zenithperigee7442
3 ай бұрын
@alcha93, lol exactly! I was thinking "They're likely trying not to damage the van so they can retrieve it in good condition...." But soon as that Cop car flipped, you could see the other Officers just start RAMMING/PUSHING the van and just SLAM into it boxing him in! Just like a 4-5 star in GTA 5! I swear the Cop AI cheats so bad in the game. Firing through concrete/dirt whilst you're in a tunnel, at times when they're in "search mode", suddenly they spawn directly in front or behind you so they can "see" you now and add stars & increase their aggressiveness and do more damage! I had just landed (manually) atop the Diamond Casino and my one star had just went to two as somehow "they could see me on top of the building", so I ran to the other side where none of them were gathering and suddenly I ended up with three stars for no reason, I hadn't aimed at nor fired a shot and so then a Cop heli flew in, so I shot it down, then another, so then 4 stars.... I expect that as you "level up, things become more challenging" but I'm not even 360 yet and various enemy AI can somehow "waste" me on full health, super-heavy armor with about 4-5 shots through trees/shrubs from "a half mile away" where I can't even "see" them to be able to aim and shoot back but somehow they have "expert precision!" And sometimes you can fire ~30 rounds at them but somehow only 3-5 shots hit because they force the rounds to "go off target" so even tho the reticule is "red" indicating "on-target", the rounds deviate away from your target. You don't expect "one-shot kills" but you do expect that when your reticule is red, that the round hits somewhere within it's vicinity! It was funny to me when "TakeTwo" complained about "OpenIV" and filed a lawsuit because "some people might exploit vulnerabilities and cheat!" I don't like cheaters anymore than the next person but the game's own AI is the biggest cheater of all!

Because it was dangerous and irresponsible AF for them to continue that chase in rush hour attempting pit maneuvers at 110mph!! Imagine that car had flipped rolled right over a line of rush hour traffic taking out god only knows how many in ocent people.
