I can't even imagine how special that would be to receive a gift like this from your father. He will cherish that belt all the days of his life!
Your son will treasure this kit put together for him by his Dad. Awesome example of fatherhood and mentorship. Our world needs more of this!

it’s crazy to think Jack is old enough to go out and start a life of his own as a young man. I remember watching him help you when he was just a pup. How time flies. Love this type of content showing setups and giving great advice
I pray the Wranglerstar family will receive God's grace, protection and continued conviction. Amen! Thanks for sharing brother 👍

I wish my father had been this involved in my life and supportive in my endeavors. You, sir, are truly a man a son can look up to. This is the kind of thing I will do for my son.
It's a proud, and terrifying day when a father equips his son to go out on his own to fight. In this case, the fighting is wildland fires, and the care/attention to detail shows. I look forward to one day doing something like this for my son.

It’s such a great feeling to gift your sons with things they’ll be able to keep, use and appreciate for years to come. I put together a couple of carpenters belts for my twin boys when we started building a log cabin together in NH a few years ago and still get a mixed sense of joy and pride for them when I see them put it on to work on something. Kudos to you Cody and congrats and good luck to Jack!
I’ve been following you for awhile now and can say that you are a role model for sure. I wish my dad was, but I made myself a very good father to my two daughters and couldn’t be more proud of them! Thanks again for all you do.
We need more people like you who teach your kids the proper way of life. Unfortunately, those traits are becoming less and less common in todays world
Just felled my first tree and never would of been confident enough to do it without your advice! Thank you Wranglerstar!
I’ve never seen a father care more then this man you’re really inspiring me to become a forester
I fall trees for firewood every year and I have always wanted to put together a tool belt like this. Thank you... the info for the scabbard is exactly what I was looking for
Just put in for a FFT2 position in Region 8 after attending a recruitment camp. I appreciate all the knowledge you’ve given me!
I love the Dr. Gonzo glasses. Very appropriate, especially for the times of fear and loathing we are headed through. We must: Act Accordingly.
You are a father that truly exhibits love of a son. I applaud you sir!

@@wranglerstar You sir are more than welcome! I laid on my non functional back today after cutting tree limbs off the roofs of my neighbors from Sunday afternoons storms here in central Arkansas. No power till the 29th as of the last update, but I have a genset and gas. Keeping everything frozen for the house and the neighbors. That’s what’s expected of good neighbors. Be generous and kind. Man, I remember when you gave him his first pocket knife. Makes me feel old. But then again, I’ve had two boys of my own (6 and 7) in the time I’ve been watching you, so time and life is marching along with all of us, like it or lump it.
Very cool to see this congrats jack! I don’t know why this particular video came to mind but while watching this I remembered back to an older video of yours when you were on the old homestead and you were testing the range of your COMMS. Jack rode the dirt bike down a ways and it just shows how much he’s grown, and how blessed this young man is to have a father/protector/provider like yourself! I grew up in a very broken home with no father (and no positive male role model either) now as an adult with children of my own videos like this are that much more special. Aloha and blessings from Hawaii 🤙🏼🙏🏼
Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience. Keep up the good work.
Hope your son stays safe on the fire lines, Wranglerstar. You should report on some of his experiences to us, if you can.

Really nice to see how thoughtful you are towards your son. He's going to be really proud and grateful for your foresight and expertise.
You are a man of great knowledge and preparation hats off to you friend stay healthy stay happy😊
I did the same when both my sons decided to go into the trades. I gave them both starters kits that would get the job done with out over burdening them. When it comes to telling someone you love them actions speak louder than words. Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
Great video. What a enjoyable time in preparing something for your son that can be used on the job
phenomenal! I love it and I will pray for Jack that he is safe and maybe has a little fun along his journey! You're a proper father and I always look forward to these videos! Thank you!
I appreciate you, Cody. Some awesome content and Old School values. That said, I'd like to talk to Cody of a few years back and show him you in a neckerchief, the sunglasses you stole from Ted Bundy, the unashamed revelation of a makeup mirror and neon sign- and watch the ensuing fireworks.
It’s nice to see a father pass something down that’s usable and will last
Although im from the UK and in no way near the occupation of the forest service i love these videos, been watching for years and for someone who never had a father figure around i hope to god that one day im as good of a father as yourself.
Thank you sir! Great vid! I learned a lot!
That’s an awesome gift that he will get a TON of use out of. God bless y’all, much love from Texas!
Godspeed, Jack. Blessings in your new career of service.
Its so nice to see this kind of videos again, I really like watching you find Proho solutions. 🎉❤
Good luck to your son! I wish him all the best! You should be proud that he followed in your footsteps. We need more young people like him.!
I pray he is safe on the fire line and you raised a good man
Very nice. Jack will love it I'm sure, and take good care of his kit. Now I want to make one for myself.
Few weeks ago I looked through the older videos to help me decide what to buy for a fellers belt for my college timber harvesting class and for when I get out of school. I am very happy with grizzly peaks, I ordered everything and had it with in 3 days.
Keep up the fantastic work sir. It’s a privilege to learn from a genuine proho
May God keep Jack safe, happy, and healthy. May he keep your family in his grace. Stay safe Jack.
Great video. I’ll say a prayer for Jack. May God be with him and your family as he goes out on his own.
I'm a big fan of your videos and I'd like to say that you've inspired me to become a volunteer firefighter. I'm currently dealing with the consequences of some mistakes I've made and I've got some jail time coming up. Once I'm done with that I'm gonna get my life back together and try to do something positive for once. Thank you for the videos and God bless.
Loved your vids, became a subscriber now that I finally paid attention and saw the OneWheels! Keep up the good stuff brotha
Thank you. Great video.
I will pray for your son. May God continue to bless you brother.
A very thoughtful gift for a son. I'm sure he'll appreciate it and remember it his whole life.
Man I love these "old school" style videos! Thank you Cody!
Never trust a word from someone who works in a shop in barefoot, something the USFS did not approve.
Although my father never made me anything or something of this level of a gift. He provided in other ways and I love and appreciate him for all he has done for me and my brothers and sister. I see this being something he will cherish and hold onto for many years. Used or not he will still appreciate it. Jack is a bit younger than me (my guess is hes about 20) but i know for sure he will grow and have an appreciation for your work. Iv recently grown appreciation for the wild land fire fighters and have been looking into getting myself in the USFS.
Great work!! Wish I had a dad like you.

Best of luck to Jack! And thanks for the video as I am going to need a ProHo version like this as I start thinning trees on my property.
I wish I had a father like you in my life
Little things like this is what your son will remember and cherish for years.
I feel old, but I also feel proud of the MAN that I have been given the privilege of watching grow up Jack is going to conduct himself as a man and we will be proud of who he is
I always fell beloved and learn from every video you do.
Love that you put out some 10 min content! Always love learning from you
A caring father right here. My dad is a lot like this, cherrish all these moments kids.
Great first kit, keep on keepin on....
Wow big achievement 👏 👌 be safe out there 👏 🙏 👍 🙌
Hey Cody, great video. One thing to mindful of is sometimes those fancy belt buckles can be a hindrance to the wearer since they are bigger and bulkier than the standard one. I have also had one where the pin on the end to latch it actually broke off the buckle, where as I haven't had a center bar buckle fail yet!
Love his make up mirror. He’s such a dandy.
That belt reminds me of my fathers belt when he was going to work in the woods. Great memories even when the work was pretty hard
Good luck & Gid speed in your new job Jack!
nice! kit. i like to use Chicago Screws vs. rivets on belt buckle fold for easy change out the buckle if needed.

I dig it, my son isn’t quite that age (3), but I would love nothing more than to do something like this when he takes his first real steps into adulthood. I was really hoping to see the reveal to him at the end, but I understand it.
It's just good to know... I'm NOT the only person running around my shop working at night while barefoot!

Youre one of the reasons im taking some arborists certifications in my state. Notnjust for work, but as a passjon for the forest and msintaining her, respecting her.
Good Idea, a fine present
A couple years ago I got a tool belt with one big pouch that's got lil slots and pockets all over the main pouch..it ended up becoming my falling belt..holds an axe, wedges, tuning driver, scrench, files, loggers tape and raker gauges (running 3/8 and .325 ATM)
Make sure he packs that factory buckle with him . Ive had those custom buckles break . Love your videos !! Always have .
Love your videos. Make my day better every time. Thank you.
I have used Obenaufs lp on my work boots and holsters for years. I love the stuff. It’s a great product.
thx man
I got my red card back in May. I get a lot of useful information from your channel
Best of luck to your son out there. I hope he has a good set of gloves
What a great story of the American dream and determination. Mixed with the true masterery of a valuable trade. Another example of the value of apprenticeship. Any trade, including brain surgery can be taught this way and should be recognized as such. College, the biggest scam. I studied and learned under great masters. Now im the master!Thank you for a great video.
Cody, Wow! From a little kid to a soon to be firefighter! Time flies. Thumbs up my friend.
I carry a small pouch with my kit to carry small tools and parts that I may need in the day. Pretty cool to set up a kit for your son
I've even used obenaufs as patch lubricant when I am hunting with black powder muzzleloader rifles. Works great.
Yes these are the kind of videos I want. Also Way to go jack!!
Very cool...proud dad hooking him up😎
