Eric you need to send the snow cat one of your stickers, we can't have Matts being the only one on it. 🙂😄😃😀😉
This young man has set this little snow cat up beautifully…especially like the twin stiff legs . Having all the weight of the snowcat cantilevered greatly increase the actual towing capacity of this recovery unit.
Great video nice to see a young man self-employed! Sweet rig for sure!

Eric I love your channel. I first met you here when you went to the wrecker games and you took Matt's wrecker for a ride on Matt's channel. I had no idea what I was missing. You are so good at what you do and so good and relaxed in front of the camera. Thank you for all your hard work. You have a heart the size of Texas. I look forward to tagging along with you on many more adventures.
Glad you got to take us along for the ride ! Wow. That was definitely a mud bath ! Glad y'all was able to fetch him safety back to dry land . Thanks for sharing the adventure with us Sir ! Can't wait for the next one. ✌️❤️🙏
Brother Eric is growin his offroad network in the north👍 That is absolutely phenominal! Its always great to have backup...period
Many thanks for getting my dad’s truck unstuck 🤗
Awesome snowcat. Matt and Robbie can take some lessons there
Great job getting that guy out. That was a real soup bowl!! The ol' wrecker would have had a miserable time trying to navigate all that soupy mud especially while dragging someone's vehicle out! I think the right decision was made!! LOL!!
Now that's a handy wee machine for that conditions. Can't wait to see the wrecker back in action.

I just called the man who owns this Company about the Tractor in the show. I might buy one if he hears of one. I was greatly surprised at the cost. The gentleman was extremely friendly and my wife,s family being from Minnesota we enjoyed quite a chat. This is the kind of people I love supporting. ( WE THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE UNITED ) RAYMOND F. PITTAM
The snow cat was definitely the right tool for the job, that would have been a difficult job with the wrecker, just too soft. I like his idea for the hydraulic field chocks!! We had field chocks (sometimes called field spades) on our wreckers in the Army. They are great for pulling when on slick mud to keep you from pulling your wrecker instead of pulling the stuck vehicle. His hydraulic ones are the cat's ass, beats having to drag them out and set them up every time like the Army ones. Great video!!!
That is a very sanitary rig. Matt and Robby take note.
Thanks for the video Eric great job getting it out, thanks for bringing us along. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed ❤️❤️ it.
Those winching anchors are a great idea!

This park had a reputation of being basic and easy. Most of the park is just a 2 track road. Where he got stuck is a new section thats lower and closer to the river. Everyone was surprised we managed to get stuck. My XJ on 33in MTs had to winch a few times to get out

The snow cat with the LS1 CHEVY MOTOR DID THE GREAT JOB .
For those of us that live in desert regions, this was quite interesting. I can see why the authoritied didn't want you trying to go rescue it with a wheeled vehicle.
@mahbriggs
Жыл бұрын
Which doesn't make the correct decision! A suitably equipped wheeled vehicle could have gotten him out without doing any more damage than the tracked vehicle did. I can understand closing the park to the general public, but not allowing a vehicle recovery was stupid!
@NBSV1
Жыл бұрын
@@mahbriggs That takes someone who has to try and determine which wheeled vehicles can and can’t make it and then authorize them. Way easier and less time consuming to just say it has to be a tracked vehicle since there isn’t likely to be a bunch of them, and they likely to make it without digging deep ruts.

I'm glad I came back around to yall and you've gotten some recognition on the channels I've found because of yall originally.
And the good old Land Rover Defender just plowed on through all that mud. I appreciate that defenders are hard to come by in the US, but they are such a capable machine, I am really surprised that either your good self, Robby, Matt or Paul has not thought about adding one to the vehicle mix you all have. Something to think about Eric?
Looks like a fun tool.
Great content guys 😊.
Cool tracked machine, and LS motor and trans makes a good combination indeed plus a cool headed operator. Yes Matt and Robby could do the same motor for their snow cats. Have to ask why the Landcruiser didn't try winching himself out?
@Griller1977
Жыл бұрын
That looks to be a recently (last 10 years or less) logged out and replanted. They would have had to hook to 3 or 4 trees for every winch pull, and even that might have yanked trees out by the roots with the ground that soft.

Cool stuff
Interesting watching especially the snow cat. I had a WWII Weasel that occasionally was used in the water. Most of the time in the sand in the desert - lots of fun but parts became too expensive.
Great video, really good to see someone use innovation and good old common sense. Heavy D has used his snow cats for wet recovery's and they work well. Out here in the west more likely to have sand and loose rock create problems. Just really fine people that willing to go the extra mile. All you gentlemen and ladies show really values still get the job done.
Thanks for the ride. It's definitely a different environment there from what I'm used to seeing at MOOR. Watching these recovery channels, I've seen quite a variety of tracked vehicles, but I don't believe I've seen any two that were the same....lol
That old sno Kat is cool. Eric , you should build something like that.
That little track vehicle does a great job for its size!👍
Someone needs to get this young man a yankum rope...... Cool that you were up in my neck of woods!!

Great video Eric. That kid has a pretty nice rig.
At first I was going to ask what kind of toolbox drives into a place like that without a winch but now I'm wondering what kind of toolbox gets stuck with a winch while being surrounded by all those trees.😂

Many times people disagree with decisions they didnt get to make, especially when it inconveniences them... im sure this guy was pitching a fit since he hasnt had his vehicle in over a month... but as we can see there are usually reasons behind it. Glad they got it out. Thats an awesome little rig! Great video!

@mahbriggs
Жыл бұрын
@anthonyraines5951 I know of several "mud" trucks locally that could have made that same recovery without doing anymore damage than the tracked vehicle did. Look, the BSF recovery wrecker is quite capable, bit it has it's limits, and would have been unsuitable for this recovery. But there are other types of vehicles that are not designed to lift and carry, but are quite capable of towing!
@anthonyraines5951
Жыл бұрын
@m riggs i think we will have to agree to disagree on that. Not saying it couldn't be recovered with a wheeled vehicle but there were many places in that video that the tracks stayed right on top of the ground and the vehicle being towed behind it just sank in.
@mahbriggs
Жыл бұрын
@anthonyraines5951 Well it was the vehicle being rescued. It did not have the large tires associated with mud trucks. In fact, it was pretty much a stock vehicle. Did it even have lockers? My point is that it was not a very capable mud vehicle. There are many that could have handled that level of mud quite well. Even my Jeep XJ probably could have drug that Toyota out of there, and it far from a purpose built mud vehicle. My point is it that it did not take a tracked vehicle like to recover that Toyota. Kudos to the guy that did! It looks like a pretty good machine, I am certainly not criticizing him! Just the idiots that prevented somebody else from going in earlier to get the guy out!
The Russians make what they call a *( GAZ 71 ).* We used them in Kazakhstan working around the Caspian Sea. It has the Best Tracks on any Track Vehicle I have ever seen. The engine was good but the Transmission was lacking. I would recommend bringing one here and have someone who knows what he's doing go through it. I think it is just that good and it would make one heck of a towing vehicle.
Snow cat was awesome
I am sure it's super muddy but that looks super fun.

That is a very easy thing for us viewers to say, but for someone who is running a business all day, or maybe 24 hours a day in this case, one may prefer to get a few hours of sleep a night instead of editing videos at 3am. Most people have no idea how much time it takes to put good content out on a regular basis - it's a full-time job in and of itself. And if your YT channel takes off, then THAT becomes your primary business. This may seem fine, but your livelihood is then at the mercy of a global corporation who has the power to demonetize you at the click of a mouse. Many people are not OK with that . . .
