The pacing should be different though!. its not about missing combat. its making sure the story is always moving forward. While not missing key details. the later half of the second episode to the 4th episode preferably would have been covered in one episode but it took almost three. walpurgis doors should have been the end of the last episode then you get to the battle in the next episode instead of the one that just happened while ending the episode with the start of walpurgis. then 10 and 11 would be walpurgis. if your gonna stretch a scene make it the freaking climax duh!!!!! then 12 would be setup to next season. GOOOOsh

@@lucienalba9905 lol. That would be the case. Next episode should be the fights between Shuna's group and Adalman's undeads. Walpurgis would then be held in episodes 10, 11, and 12. The pacing is perfectly fine, it allows then anime to stay true to the source. And hate to break it to you, but Tensura is full of meetings lile the ones from the earlier episodes. That is to be expected. Tempest and its people are the main focus of the later arcs, and Rimuru serves as the king. If anything, this season is a much more faithful adaptation than the 1st season, which skipped whole portions of the plot like Rimuru's travel as an adventurer. Because of that we even missed the introduction of some important characters like Beretta, Zagion, and Apito.

Still they streched a 1 minute dialogs to cover whole episodes...I'm quite disapointed in how Mappa decided to strech the episodes...and then there were supposed to be 2 Charybdis spawned by Yamza(since in the manga atleast the bracelet was never destroyed) making it one to lower animation costs greatly diminishes Benimarus performance in my opinion...didn't expect Mappa to drop their quality that much...

Yamza's betrayal was trying to run away in the last episode after he realized he'd been lured into a trap and his forces were getting bodied. He even mentioned that if he survived he could join up with another demon lord.

Midray is Milims sparing partner so he's very strong "considering he's still alive" 😂😂. I think if Beni & Midray sparred it'll be a never ending fight of Super moves.

No casualties in Rimuru's people. That's their priority more than wining that's why they don't act recklessly.

You didn't miss anything, like you said, the LN stuff that was skipped was just extra backflips and moves that aren't necessary for the plot. One a sidenote tho: Middray original sentence was: I don't think I can survive that attack you used... Although I just have to kill you before you use it. But we friends so no killing.

It's pronounced "Ka-rib-dis," just like in the Odyssey, Scylla and Charybdis. No reactor has gotten it right, but y'all are one of the best.

It feels so weird that the tomboyish tiger girl has long hair and is wearing a skirt while fighting, design-wise i mean... normally the tomboyish fighting girls in anime or manga do not look that femenine compared to other characters... I like that... I mean specifically the trope of tomboy girl... Also snake girl managed to look so good, cool and frightening at the same time and then look so scared, worried and caring after a few minutes...

Reminder that the 2 clowns (Tear and Footman) are part of the Moderate Harlequin Alliance along with Laplace (who we seen in S2 P2 Ep 2) and Clayman. Moderate Harlequin Alliance serves former Demon Lord Kazeram (Kagali) who is currently working with Yuuki Kagurazaka. So Tear and Footman are not serving Clayman but they are equals in terms of being under Kazeream, thus they are actually almost as strong as Clayman if not stronger, so it was not weird that Geld and Phobio lost the 2v2. Common misconception for anime watchers thinking that they are serving Clayman / are weaker than him. This isn't a spoiler, it's been revealed in S2 P2 Ep 2.

Yazma was trying to surrender which is what triggered whatever Clayman had left on him. He thought he was free, but he wasn't, showing again that Clayman is no joke with his controlling spells and traps.

As another LN Reader, this was one of the episodes adapted faithfully which is surprising. They even reminded that Charybdis wasn't in the full evolved form as when it was when milhilm took it down n even that benimaru wanted to fight against the grown up version but had to fight early.

Beinmaru is clearly a lot stronger than I thought and at the same time the opposing force mostly as well, the fight with Footman/Tear I knew they were strong but dang, and Middray is really strong.

Shoujo actually kills *a lot more* than Shounen because of how it started, the legendary madman himself Go Nagai. Sweet hell, you wouldn't expect it of such a name but Cutey Honey is fekken Trevor brutal, she offs over 450 people in the first series alone, even ones who surrender or try to flee like Jaguar, who she throws a steel bar at which goes *through her spine* Some highlights include: Badfly gets her left eye yanked out then a sword driven into the hole which is then pulled down cutting her in half, Fire claw gets her boobs sliced off then her heart ripped out, a beetle monster gets Isekai'd between a bus and a fully loaded truck Mariah style, Mary is Final Destination'd by a falling window (think what Sypha did), and Octo Panther is dismembered then crushed by a submarine If Tanya is the devil, then Honey is frigging *Khorne* Oddly enough, despite killing so many low tier one shots with cheap stock animation Sailor Moon started the Talk no Jutsu trend. (Something I never really forgave it for, lol. If only Ray earth or Escaflowne 'won' that era) Before that anyone who wasn't a cute guy in a girl action comic got massive doses of *hands* (a trend Pretty Cute brought back, don't let the cutesy intro fool you, Nagisa is a lot like Honey!) Red Garden brings it all full circle as it's about high school girls beating vampires to death with bats (I see what you did thar)

The color of the text for the giveaway blends too much with the background; might i suggest a nice blue-grey to both stand out more (as to be legible) and to not clash with the background overmuch

Huh, Geld and Phobio fared better in the manga. It was a more even fight there but I suppose this might be how it went down in the LN.

I get the feeling from the ending that Geld could have done much more but was told not to. Probably to both mislead them about their strength as well as let them tip their own hands as far as power and abilities. I'd be willing to bet Geld gets some revenge later, probably on the fat clown since those two seem to pair up as a good match for a fight. I feel like if the girl clown gets in a serious fight later they'll make it with one of the girls from Rimiru's side.

In the manga version of this had the clone stick around so Benimaru could take out two Charybdis

Benimaru is one strong mother shut your mouth. Everybody want to show up and be so powerful. Some people upgraded other people they just that damn powerful. I'm going to assume next week we will be at the meeting. Everybody got they shine in this battle even if they lost.

Benimaru and Middray should be around the same in power. Even though Beni wasnt exerting himself or breaking a sweat roasting Charybdis, beginning of the episode, they said Middray has power similar to Milim's. The fact that he wants to minimize damage doesnt necessarily mean he's a lot weaker.

Footman and tears is 4x times stronger than Clayman if they serious Geld would be dead

This episode was great and filled perfectly. Best episode in a long time. But i seriously hope we don't lose track of what makes this anime great. There is a bunch of this story already made and done. But this season has had two fundamental flaws in regards to how it should have been portrayed in the anime. 1. episode 9 which should have been completely different due to how they stretched the past 3 episodes with periodical short filler you would notice if you didn't read up. 2nd episode 4 of of the second part was by far the most unsatisfying episode iv'e seen in the show thus far. Knowing that episodes 3 and 4 were maybe scenes id imagine taking 10-15 minutes max. Btw its severely taken down my rating for the season as a whole. Not my rating of rimuru the goat though

The production studio really dropped the ball these past few episodes, they stretch dialogs that span seconds into hours and now they removed an aditional charybdis because they were too lazy to animate two...in the original script Yamza's clone bracelet never breaks so when he is forced to become charybdis two of them spawn because of the magic of the bracelet...removing one greatly undermines Benimaru's show of power in that scene.
