Welcome to our last episode from India-Bhutan Border. As I told you in the first episode of India-Bhutan Border vlog that this journey is completely unplanned and uncertain. I along with Ankur jee from "Staygreen Northeast" the travel company with whom I am travelling currently did not know what experiences were awaiting for us. My heart felt with gratitude when I met (Santhal) Adivasis of India-Bhutan Border. Do watch how heartwarming they were and the simple adivasi lifestyle. Truly "They Were Poor But Rich By Heart ❤"
According to the official Census held in 2011, Adivasis of India constitute 8.6 per cent of the total India's population, some 104. 3 million people. Unofficial figures vary significantly but represent a much higher proportion of India's population.
Santhal, also spelled Santal, also called Manjhi, tribals of india, numbering well over five million at the turn of the 21st century. Their greatest concentration is in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Orissa, in the eastern part of the India.
