ABOUT CARTEL TYCOON:

The people do not even know I did it. They should not be more loyal due to my sneaky, under-the-radar loan. Aside from that though, this mechanic is not balanced.
It’s good you’re avoiding the loan for as long as possible as it does have a downside, every time you loan 30k you repay an extra 5k. First is 35k, then 40k ect it gets real expensive. As for the loyalty, the government already knows of your dealings and they are backing you either way. The government has the power to take 35k of dirty money, run it through taxes and invest it into food and commission homes for the people. Explaining the money has been donated from you will raise loyalty every time. Hope this theory helps, can’t wait for the next episode 😄

Loyalty isn’t about government approval. It’s about the approval of the people. The citizens/population. The narrative of the loan indicates that it is secret, and that “nobody has to know it has gone missing” in the first place. They also claim the money (which is already there before the loan) will never be used for any meaningful purpose for the people. :)

Heya. Liking the playthrough. A tip for the bulding placement. You can hold shift when placing a building to prevent it from clipping to the roads. Just remember to add a road after. It helps when tight on realestate.

Another tip. Check your cargo tab from your seaport and consider if it is a good idea to sell legal goods alone since it takes a slot and you still pay upkeep for it. And do you have enough packed goods supply for your seaport or are you running it with a loss because of the upkeep. River pier and airodrome amounts to sell depends on the research. Check if it affects both packed and unpacked amounts.

And another. You researced a lower upkeep cost but it only works on dirty money upkeep. So you are still bleeding legal money. You can maybe check your finance tab and see what is costing you the most amounts and pinpoint your problems. Also the filter tool is a good way of seeing where you have a lot of stockpiles of goods other than dirty money. Hope these helps. Keep up the good work.

So for the loaning thing. mayors make deals everyday. right or wrong, without people knowing of them. so i have to agree that a freeze or lower of loyalty would be more in place. Also is the bank worth it to build? because of the upkeep and all. maybe a salsa club or stadium instead, would increase loyalty grateful? love the series man, you give good info and great gameplay.

The upkeep is the wash. It’s not in addition to the wash really. You give it $3K every day, for 10 days, and it gives you $30K in legal money at the end. That math works out for all other places too, which makes what happens next even better. :)

Oke, i thougt the upkeep and wash where different. Which would make it a very expensive building. Can you demolish a building in the city? Or is it once build your stuck with it? Now you got me curious, gonna buy it. Good luck

if you click the warehouse you can set which locations within the radius it services which trucks go to where so you can minimise the collection rate from afew farms while throw build up storage and supplies requires alot of micro management as well as turning off buildings that will just cost you money until you can afford them and fill them with cash but kind of makes you have to plan your grow period and harvest & production then transportation until you can produce enough to support all the costs but if you have the time to actually experiment grow andf output periods and havest and production periods and work out an algorithm i think youll have the game

I don’t think it’s 40 a day at the military base. I think it’s 40 total to reach the first goal. But 5/day to maintain

Correct. As long as we supply more than 5 per day, it will grow, and perks are based on storage.

I know why the loyalty increases its beacuse when you do the loan the capo says "hopefully you will use this for good" or something so that can be the reason, the mayor used it to make the people happy

That’s just the joke. It’s there, and it will never be used for what it’s good for… but it has nothing to do with my secret, nobody-has-to-find-out loan. The people never know I have it.
Three weeks late (and I haven't watched the more recent videos yet, trying to get through all of them ^-^) but my guess is that the loyalty increases because from the mayor's perspective they gained $5000 (or increased amount) so they are happy, and thus they may directly or indirectly also curry the public's favor of you (whether to keep you coming back or just because they are pleased, whatever the reason my be). Just my guess though; it seems that there's no consensus in the comments yet :D!

Watching this a little late but curious on why you always ship the bought goods from the villages straight to the workshops and not the warehouses.. is it because you think they are overworked?

It is the end destination for that good in the first place, and yes, warehouses are logistically busy. This is eventually less of an issue, and as you’ll see, the strategy shifts when I feel that’s the case
Any idea what made the coffee suspicious at the port? Was it just because you shipped too much coffee in a short period of time?

A giant influx of a specific good can be suspicious, yes. Diversifying the containers it’s smuggled in is necessary.
Why does shipping coffee terrify people so much?
gravel roads are already unlocked, it just makes you travel faster on them. asphalt roads are teir 3 i believe.

Incorrect. Gravel roads are locked. There is no research in this game that improves travel speed of existing road types
