as Changbin biased, I can relate so hard

The fact that this was a PRE-DEBUT song kills me. Like how talented were they when the main producers were literally like 16-17 I- 💆🏻‍♀️

the "i am" series of 3 albums that followed this pre-debut mixtape is also filled with very vulnerable and real messages as it is a series about questioning yourself and the journey of self discovery its really incredible too considering they were all 17-21 when they debuted

The voice you keep saying you like belongs to Kim Seungmin. He's part of Vocalracha (vocal subunit) and is the second youngest. The vicious rapper with venom, as you say lol, is Seo Changbin. He is part of 3racha (the producing subunit). THIS MAN CAN RAP!!!

@@CappyZ No because it's true that Han and Changbin are two of the main rappers of Stray Kids but Chan is more a singer than a rapper and Hyunjin and Felix are the lead and main rappers of the group, Lee know raps occasionally. In a basic Stray Kids' song Han, Changbin, Hyunjin and Felix rap. Sometimes Chan and Lee know rap but it's more in their heavy hip hop songs. The thing is new people are a bit lost because 3racha was/is a hip hop sub unit now and before Stray Kids.

Caitlin don't sleep on Stray Kids. they self-produce their own music. 3racha (Bangchan, Han and Changbin) are credited in all their songs. they produced about 130 songs in 2 years lately they collab with dj Alesso. many STAYS (skdz fans) wish to stole Bangchans laptop - it's a goldmine

BTS and Stray Kids are my ults because they make their own music and their lyrics are so moving and message heavy. Stray kids are truly full of talented aces.

Just for info on hellevator, as you’ve seen it’s a pre debut track but it was also released as kind of a trailer for their survival show where they were all competing to make sure they could all debut together! If I’m not completely wrong this song was released to gain attention for the show (if I’m completely wrong someone please feel free to correct me!) it was originally a song that 3racha (pre debut group and now producing unit) made and when asked to make a track they chose this track and renamed it hellevator and then wrote the lyrics for it! The meaning behind it is supposed to be rising through the pain and struggle to the penthouse of success! Another fun fact is that while certain members do tend to fulfill certain roles in songs skz doesn’t have any official positions anymore as all 8 of them are all rounders!

SO pumped for you to watch more of these boys! They're my absolute favorite group for all kinds of reasons! COMPLETELY self-produced. Every single song they have out, without a doubt, has their bright minds behind them. I also fell in love with them just from the lyrics alone, as you said, for me message in songs is important and honestly they never disappoint. The one you kept falling for is Changbin! Rapper (but also great singer) and a part of the self production team in the group that consists of HAN, the other rapper who can hit those Hellevator high notes and Chan, the leader! I think you really will love them, their sincerity and passion in each track is unlike any other. As for the one who you mentioned in hellevator, his name is Hyunjin and yes, he's currently on hiatus but we're hoping for his return after Kingdom which is around June, he's an absolute pure and loving soul and Stays miss him dearly. Not sure if anyone mentioned this yet? But currently in the group there are only 8 members. It may be hard to ignore the 9th one because of him being in their debut stuff, but if possible just... dont pay much attention to him? He hurt a LOT of people and especially Stray Kids themselves, who ended up re-recording most of their debut tracks without him and are still in the process of doing so. As for the fans themselves, many of us (i'm sure most of us) feel uncomfortable with his presence. But that's something you really can't help considering he's in the videos and early songs, just wanted to let you know! Loved the reaction, cant wait for more!

Once again, I loved this reaction! Changbin (the one growling at every turn) really shocks people haha, I felt that too when I first got into their music. He is such a great rapper, I can't wait for you to hear him sing in the future! Regarding the guide, I'd really love to see your reaction to it! 'Hyunjin nation' has one that is very good - it is quite long and slightly older, but it is a good deep dive into the kids. Also I just honestly think everyone would love to see your shock when you learn what they are capable of hehe. 💕

If you want more rock feel I would high recommend their song ‘Awaken’, it doesn’t have an mv as far as I’m aware. There are concert stages for it but they might get blocked on KZread if you wanted to react to a stage performance of it, so if you do decide to film a reaction it may need to be of a lyric vid and not a performance.

im not lying hellevators bridge is my favorite bridge ever. It gives me goosebumps every-time, especially knowing the backstory of this song and how the members switched lines(from reality show). I love the double meanings of how they are on a hellevator but going up, same as the bridge its rising as the synths in the back rise as well to reach the climax and to end with the final chorus. its just a great song in all. happy you got into skz!

Even the fun songs have meaning. That's one of things I love about them.

Their pre-debut music is just amazing as hell and when they officially debuted? Oh they told everyone they were coming and won’t be stopping anytime soon. There’s a reason they’re in my top three boy groups. And their pre-debut music is just as good as it is now. I still love their music when they were 9 and I am still in love with their music as 8. They’re worth stanning and worth supporting for sure. You’re gonna love them more than you probably already do! Their lyrics are a huge reason why I love them so much, I’m drawn to groups and artists who write and produce their own music, yet still respect and love and support many others who don’t get to do that with their music.. but anyways, this was fun. I found Grrr before they officially debuted and I’m so happy I got to get into them a lot before they did. I’m not a Stay (their fandom name) but 1000% always support them, I just can’t deal with being in multiple fandoms so I support the groups and their fandoms! Thank you for this reaction, it’s been a minute since I heard these three songs and I realized how much I’ve missed hearing them. Also, Felix’s voice has gotten even deeper!!!!!!! Insane.. but to be expected. Yet we never truly expect his voice to come on in a song at the same time 😆. I just love them and can’t wait to see where they go in their career!

Thank you so much for taken the time to react to 3 of stray kids amazing songs. I love every one of your reactions and these songs. One thing though is Hellelevator was their pre debut m/v song and District 9 is their debut song. Both very good m/v songs. Stray kids are my first love to k-pop and are dear to my heart. Most everyone of their songs has a deep meaning to them. They do have a few fun catch songs like going dumb just to feel good or songs to get you moving like Victory Song but they care most about the message in their songs and why they are so authentic to me. I highly recommend watching their 2021 SKZVintage guide part 1 and part 2. It is the best out there regarding Stray Kids. I also would love to see you react to District 9, EX, Easy (my favorite), Miroh m/v, also Mirror m/v and my 2nd favorite Chronosarus.

i was listening to them from the day they debuted, i basically grew up with straykids, being the same age as most of them, their music and journey, them growing up, it all really resonated with me and supported me through that period of my life. i struggled a lot when i was younger and they really came at the perfect time... The fact that JYP in the survival show said that the pitch was one that only girls could sing for Hellivator and they go out and eat it up then made district in an even higher pitch is amazing. A kind way of them saying an f you to JYP. (He deserves it though because he was an ass in the survival show) Also in case anyones wondering in their pre debut days they were between 16-21 (American age) i believe Hyunjin was around 17-18 when this was put out so he was a baby baby

Regarding your comment about how kpop idols are looked down on, up till now idols among the celebrity "hierarchy" they are still considered to be below. Imagine how much time and energy they invest as a trainee and how much the gen public demand from their image but they're still not that high-up or respected by the gen public.

Changbin is most definitely a problem lol . And in SMW the one you kept calling Felix was actually Hyunjin! Their hair colors used to be so similar lol. Also since you really enjoy the songs that are about age id HIGHLY suggest taking a look at 19! Han composed that one himself and it's more of a slow feeling song.

@Caitlin Benson Fwiw, after you watch an mv/performance vid/etc, I suggest watching a lyrics vid (for yourself, not necessarily for posting). Not only does it help imprint the members' different voices and faces in the mind, but also points out details that tend to get missed in visual-based vids. For instance, you happened to catch that five different people rap in Hellevator (Changbin, Hyunjin, Felix, Han, and Lee Know), but most Hellevator reactors usually think the poorly lit, short-screentime Lee Know is part of Han's line. The pre-chorus video shots are confusing and make it look like it's Woojin with the first 50% of the pre-chorus lines, then Chan, then Han, but it's actually an equal distribution with Seungmin, Woojin, Chan, and Han -- they just pretty much blip right past showing Seungmin. (Side note: SKZ2020/OT8 versions of this redistribute lines. Lee Know has been brought in.) You asked who was hitting the high note in the "I'm on a hellevator, a hellevator" chorus." It's not one person...it's FIVE: Han, I.N, Chan, Woojin, Changbin. Unless you're very familiar with their voices or saw them actually recording this track, it's hard to notice that it's five people. And you're almost certain not to realize that the fifth person in that gorgeous high-note line-up is Changbin -- the growly, venom-voiced rapper. (Side note: SKZ2020/OT8 has Han pull double duty and sing two of the five lines.) Anyway, I _highly_ recommend following up most mv/performance viewings with a personal watch of a lyrics vid (keeping in mind that there are original 9 and OT8 versions for a lot of them). It really, really helped me when I was first getting familiar with SKZ, and I continue to watch them even now because it's so easy to not notice a bit here or there if they've put a lot of audio effects on the voices.

Sorry for spamming you with all this info but I thought I could maybe help with getting to know them their names and more about the group! Also sorry if you know all of this stuff already this is my first video of yours that I’ve seen! There are 3 subunits within skz: 3racha (producing unit), danceracha (dance focused members), and vocalracha (vocal focused members). 3racha was a pretty debut group and they have some tracks that were released prior to debut. It’s made up of Bang Chan (b ah ng ch ah n but people also say b ang ch an so either is fine), Changbin (ch ah ng bin), and Han (h ah n first name Jisung pronounced jee sung) and they’re credited on almost all of the skz tracks. Danceracha is the members that specialize in dance. It’s made up of Hyunjin (he un Jin), Lee Know (real name Lee Minho), and Felix (Korean name Yongbok y ong b awk) and they have some solo and group dances that you can check out on skz record. Vocalracha is the vocal focused unit with Seungmin (sung min) and I.N. (Real name Jeongin j ong in) and they have a lot of songs on both skz record and player! The leader Bang Chan is Australian and he became a trainee at age 13 he trained for 8 years before debut and handpicked all of the members! They debuted on March 25 2018 and they just celebrated their 3 year anniversary! The fandom is known as stay as if you take the r which stands for reason out of stray you get stay so stay is the reason for skz and skz is the reason for stay which is why they have the message of stray kids everywhere all around the world you make stray kids stay! Hope this was helpful and not just long! Also please watch their kingdom stages as they’re amazing and we need all the support we can get to show them how much we love and support them!

As for "Grrr" being marked explicit on Spotify, thank 3RACHA's usual skill with Korean/English mixed wordplay. The Korean reading of the grrr part of the title sounds very similar to a set of syllables (지랄) that can be a cuss word in Korean. There's longer explanations out there, but that's the gist. Ftr, this isn't even close to the only time you'll run across wordplay stuff like this with SKZ and 3RACHA. For example, the full title of "Ex" and Han's straight-up diss track "I Got It" (which is full of 'em, including the title itself).

I recommend Psycho by RedVelvet (they're actually pretty close with BLACKPINK and one of the best vocals in kpop industry and also PENTAGON Daisy and also a boygroup that is great in vocals and talented to probably the boy group that has a lot of vocalists
