@@egghound_flopper Which character makes a comment in a scene within your group is somewhat randomized (unless it deals with them directly in some way). Sometimes it'll be Gale and another character or Lae'zel and another character pending whatever your party make-up is. Mine was Shadowheart, Karlach, and Gale and in that scene it was Shadowheart and Karlach who made a remark, and in another playthrough it was just Gale, and in a different playthrough it was Shadowheart and Gale. Just because in your one playthrough Karlach didn't say anything doesn't mean that's how it was for everyone else, try stuff out.

Shadowheart is a bigger degenerate than anyone. She's down for a 5some with two drow twins, your character, and a bear in act 3. Even Astarion refuses two do the dirty with the twins. No other party member but her and Halsin (he's the bear) will agree to the twins. Not only that but she makes them worship her thighs and plays god. Oh and there's the her making jokes about the dark urge flirting with her while it's making threats of murder to her and she knows it's secret.

When I got this scene I had Astarion, Shadowheart, and Lae'zel in my party. She stayed silent the whole time and then afterwards went "....your world has strange customs." Poor Lae'zel has been in faerun for like 2 days and the first three people she meets are absolute freaks

Fun Fact! If you take your armor off before standing against the wall you'll get a buff called Ardent Apostle which gives a +4 bonus to all three response rolls. Someone in Larian *really* enjoyed that

​@@zilexfaulty4954as a dragonborn that got it, its still the glowing eye but it's a lot more faint, the flowing fire texture and color stay on too, but since it goes in the eye that the camera is usually angled at in conversation, you can't not look at it imo its a cool contrast when the convo camera faces you from the front since otherwise you often can't see the real eye

One annoying thing about volo's eye is that the buff is considered a condition by the game and the game likes to reapply it every time you switch equipment or get other conditions (even resting) and sometimes that doesn't work so it'll be stuck off when you start combat and I think it also gets turned off when you're prevented from doing magic for any reason and won't turn back on until you rest.

Not me over here knowing EXACTLY what this is based on the thumbnail and their mutual approval. 😂

@@shibernyan2009 I was playing a Tav/Astarion playthrough originally when I saw the clip of the Dark Urge attacking Astarion and that whole dialogue, and immediately I was like, "Oh, shit, I found his soulmate." Changed to a Dark Urge playthrough immediately after. It is SO rewarding. You will love it. There are so many special conversations and he's so supportive, regardless of the path you take, because they have so much in common.

shadowheart and astarions bickering is probably my favorite part of the whole game. They give off such sibling energy.

I want him as a companion so bad. It'd be absolutely hilarious.

Extra funny is also knowing the loviatar's priest's face is modeled on Larian Boss

I love the fact that Bard can just act it all up to the extreme and it was such a funny thing to do, stripping down and just going for it. I imagine it must've been quite the sight for the companions.

I kept succeeding the rolls and apparently Loviatar didn't like that and I wouldn't get the reward, so finally I said F it and just had my bard ham it up for all three rolls. The priest loved that.

I was really surprised just how much both of them loved watching a screaming bard.

When I did this Astarion deadass was like: “Oh, I have to see this! Do it darling, or I’ll be so disappointed.” (Or something like that.)

Anyone else get the sense the Loviatar priest is a really nice guy in his own way?

Yeah, so hilarious. In my play through i did that, i only let Astarion and Shadowheart watch together, too. I was like "roflmao* about their comments when you enter that scene already. I think it feeds Astarion's sadistic streaks and Shadowheart being Sharran at that time may like that, too. Astarion: "Don't you dare say no." Shadowheart: "Don't wear her out fully, priest. I may still have use for her later." O_O Something like that and when i clicked Astarion after that, he suddenly said he started to like the whole package and wanted some alone time later with my character. It's in a funny way amazing what gets that guy going. :D

I literally hate Shadowheart.... she is the WORST cleric, and her skills are subpar at BEST. Light Cleric >>>>>>>>>>>>> Trickery Cleric My Short rest MASSIVE AoE that does up to 6d6 would like a word with you (that of course only targets enemies).... no? How about my Flaming Sphere or Rays of Fire? Oh look a companion went down... let me heal them, then blast you to ash. But Alas im a Cleric of Tyr.... and that wouldn't be "Just" to vaporize you with no reason.... so off you go a little bit wiser. Light Cleric = Regular Cleric + Fire Wizard

I dont struggle and goes through 2 acts in high difficulty but it just doesnt resonate with me Everytime i enter combat all i have in mind is "when will this be over and i can enjoy more story?" And everytime i encounter an enemy with hundreds of HP i try to negotiate through it as much as possible to avoid any kind of combat. Therefore in act 3 after wasting 20 minutes of combat i go to the lowest difficulty just to get it over with faster

But I can absolutely see why people will get turned off by it and I feel like lowering the difficulty will make the game more enjoyable to both digest the story and to progress more easily

I don't know anything about Baldur and had no plan to play this game, but that Astarion... I continue to click on Baldur's videos youtube is showing to me just to hear this precious guy. He sounds sassy and sexy at the same time in every lines.

I just tried to do this and I successfully got the blessing and approval - But my game kept bugging whenever I would reload And do it again because my companions refused to follow me afterwards. Looked it up, definitely a common bug and tried everything. Sigh... 😞 oh well.

i did the thing for like, my own enjoyment, my character has a +3 in religion so when I learned about Loviatar I was like "omg, I love it, gimme !!" (for context, my character is a Drow, Lolth worshiper, so like, he is very accustomed to pain and loves it dearly). . so yeah, I saved before and I played the interaction both times : one while resisting, constitution saves, the man was disappointed so I reloaded and played through the thing the whole time (my dude has a +3 in representation too so it was very easy to give out the best screams lmao). . bro, I loved the interaction, everything was perfect, i may have an affinity for pain in my real life thus my reaction NEVERTHELESS, the buff is like, incredible and since my dude is a rogue, well, im like often in low health and it's just perfect for me ❤❤
