I really… really hope it‘s gonna bring me back to the old days. This trailer definitely does.

38 here. Mad world will only trigger my feels after Dom. And the Maria scene from Gears 2? I don't think a game has ever done something like that. Always tear me up.

Seeing Dom almost brought me to tears. And, to clarify their ages, Marcus was 22, and Dom was 20 on E-Day. Also I wouldn't expect a Chainsaw Lancer since that wasn't developed until after the Hammer Strikes a year after E-Day.

I love that she grasped almost all of the easter eggs in the video in a single viewing lol, without making a 30 minute "20 things you missed" video about it lmao, Gears forever!

Hearing mad world again was so iconic and nostalgic! Can’t wait to finally see E Day after all this time in game form!!! We need Xbox’s again though 😂😂

What I love about this is that we get to see how the fight with the Locust started out, and I honestly liked how Marcus struggled to fight and kill a single drone and that we'll be using the Retro Lancers. I also look forward to see the dynamic between young Marcus and young Dom. And I also wanna see Hoffman and probably even General Raam in his prime. And I'm excited to see the battle of Aspho Fields and also excited and at the same time a little sad that this game might show us the events that led up to Marcus disobeying orders to try and save his father which also led to his trial

This, right here, is the comment that speaks my mind. 13 years. If anyone follows Devil May Cry, they'd know seeing Marcus and Dom was (for me at least) the same as seeing Dante return in 2019, after his last original outing being in 2008. Though seeing Marcus and Dom is melancholy on a whole different level. Between starting in 2006 and ending in 2011/12, I went from being a lad to a dad. Guess many had similar journeys, pleasant, or otherwise, as we played through the original series.

I shed tears every time I try to watch it, and I've probably seen it at least 5 times by now.

Gears of war holds a special place in my in my heart probably wasn’t old enough to be playing it but seeing how much dom suffered genuinely made me sad

I love that they returned to the moody emotional marketing. That madworld trailer in 2006 laid a groundwork for such awesome feels. Expertly done trailer and a great choice on delving into the beginnings of e day. I love this on so many levels. I teared up when marcus got slammed into the ceiling and you see the gears tags, then did a little "eh-heh" sob when Dom caught his arm. Just the way Dom looks so proudly at Marcus while he puts back on the bandana was epic. Then that panorama shot of the city with those red emergence holes with the desperate sounds of such an apocalypse. So perfect!!! GEARS OF WAR IS BACK BABY!!!!!

Can't believe I'm excited for a console game for the first time since 2014, old gears was one of the best series ever made. Themes of Brotherhood, Perseverance, Self-sacrifice, its a bleak setting with good morals and a sense of humor. Can't ask for much more. also if it's E-Day I hope to see my favorite Michael Barrick :D

I know that feeling . When I read the 2nd novel Jacintos remnant. There was sad chapter where Dom was visualizing that his family are alive and well waiting for him. When reality snap he realized they're no longer alive 😢

Seeing Dom, brought back so many memories of my teenage years when I was playing all of the Gears and for years I’ve grown fond of them because they were brothers, but seeing him again made me cry because of what happened to Dom and I’m really happy that we’re all going to enjoy this Gears to see him in action again. finally we get to see E-Day in Marcus/Dom's perspective. Not only that but there's chances old faces can return like Tai from Gears of War 2 since it's him saving Marcus with a power saw that gave them the idea for the Lancer Mk2.

I'm not that convinced though. This game at best will come out late 25, realistically 26. So who knows how long you'd have to wait for Gears 6. Depending on this one's success (judging from people's reactions, it should do great) then I'd hedge my bets to this being a trilogy.
