They Pushed The FIRST Steph Curry OUT THE LEAGUE! Stunted Growth

Chris Jackson was one of the best point guards in the early 90s. Many even say he was the first Steph Curry. His college run at LSU was one of the best ever individually. He was the SEC player of the year in both his years there and all American. The 3rd overall pick in the draft that averaged 14ppg as a rookie. With that said, would you imagine he would spend less than 10 years in the league? Let me ask you another question. What are you willing to give up for your beliefs? What Mahmoud Abdul Rauf gave up was everything.
After seeing he couldn't be globally marketed, the league secretly blackballed him out of the league. He was averaging almost 20ppg and 7 assist when the Denver Nuggets were forced to trade him to the NBA graveyard at the time, the Sacramento Kings. And guess what, they never played him like his talent suggested. His home was even set on fire all because his beliefs didn't align with the majority. They say land of the free, but what does that even mean? It's 2021 and displays all over the internet and T.V show you that means nothing. Just something cool to say to attract more business. Abdul Rauf was bad for business to them and they Stunted his Growth and never blank an eye.

First! Blackballed is definitely the correct term. The NBA stole his career.

Yeah....North Gulfport, MS in the building. Man I grew up in the same hood as him. This dude would be up at 5 AM dribbling and shooting before school everyday! His high school, college, and pro highlights are unreal!

Craig Hodges and Abdul Rauf understood something about being a man, especially a Black man: life is not about being selfish, famous, and rich. You have to be a God fearing man and help your people do the same, or else they’ll fall into stereotypes that ultimately won’t benefit them in this White world, to say the least.

I grew up in the era when he played. For all of those that never watched him play, you truly missed out on an extremely underrated player. It is true, he could shoot Steph Curry outta the gym. It’s sad he got pushed away from his biggest talent. Much respect to him

I was inspired by his "swishes only" training, when I work out by myself my shots don't count if I don't swish them, it really does improve your shooting
