"was he the only one? imagine if the game ended" literally happened to me. i was jester, one solo coven, he gave himself up to get hung since he didnt want to play solo and the game ended.

I had a game where I got jester as number 2. Night 1, number 1 finds me to be "inno," while a seer finds me to be enemies with number 1 Obviously, I get hung, then haunt 1, who was a solo Illusionist

I don’t understand why people give up, even if they are solo coven. There’s always a chance of winning. I managed to win as a solo rit at one point-There weren’t many other evils, 2 arsonists who never ignited and a pirate who pirated me n1.

Me neither. If I'm solo anything, I usually play in the most chaotic way possible, and just have fun with it. It occasionally gets a win, like the time I outed SK as a plague d2, didn't get lynched, and still won the game 🤣

Thank you for the role list at the end for the second game, it's always great to get to see the role list at the end of the games that you play. We appreciate that a lot. :)

How have I just noticed that he’s intro is the EXACT same every video “How’s it going ladies and gentlemen and welcome back to some more town of Salem 2, in this video we’ll be playing as a (role) and a (role) hope you enjoy. Alrighty, so we’ve entered the game as a (role), we are number (1-15) on the list, let’s get it (role) gaming boys” The only time it’s different would be if he only played 1 game in the video

The fake seer (jester) said 8 and 3 enemies while both being dooms, what a play for jester..sadly nobody realized that

I was the Marshal in Game 2, I asked 5 why he pushed the Witch as sus when he wasn’t sheriff in dead chat. He said it was because they didn’t claim rbd but he literally posted that 9 was sus immediately before they could ever claim rbd xd

One of the rules of TOS role design is that no townies have passive defense. The closest is monarch but it’s still not truly passive. Besides he’s strong enough as is.

So run through this mental exercise with me- you end up in a game with a bunch of townies including a crusader, several non-Conj coven, and a shroud. With your proposed change, unless those evils can get majority or fool town into hanging the crus, they've already lost. The game is kindof unwinnable. The reason defense exists in ToS is to make sure that town is still *mostly* reliant on hanging evils, rather than being able to use TK roles to win the whole game for them, and to limit how much evils can incidentally deal with eachother on town's behalf. Defense is *not* for townies. This is also why Bodyguards and Clerics can only give themselves defense once per game. You can't make balance changes *just* based on logic or common sense. You have to actually think through how it will change the game, how players are incentivized to play as a result, and compromise between what makes sense and what plays well. Saying that the Crus need defense because he wears armor is like saying Necro and Retri shouldn't exist because magic isn't real.

@@zalfareza8463 vet does not have passive defense, he only gets defense while using his ability. I didn’t say they don’t get defense. off the top of my head monarch, cleric and veteran all get defense, they just don’t get passive defense, where it’s always on/unlimited use.

The only physical attacks are berserker and ww, which won't be stopped by a shield and armor, and the sk who might have a way to trick his victims into lowerig their guard. The other attacks are either magic or "natural" causes, which can easily bypass a shield.

The claiming NK vigi strat surprisingly works more than it should. I've won too many games as sk or shroud because I buddied up with a tpow and became their hitman.

How's this for a stupid pirate. I'm 1 of 2 semi-confirmed Cleric. Day 5 comes down to 2 semi-confirmed TP, 1 Pirate with 1 win, 1 Bers & 1 hidden SC. In order for the Pirate to have any chance of winning he needs to pirate either the Bers or the hidden SC since coven is out of the game otherwise he just loses, that much was obvious to everyone with how the game was going. Who does he go after? He targets the other TP preventing us from protecting each other from bers & costs the pirate the game. The Pirate was left in a 2v1v1 with War & Death & neither of them is gonna vote out death just to give the pirate a chance to win. With the way this game went in no world do you target the semi-confirmed TP, as a pirate, you pirate 1 or the 2 non semi-confirmed TP & pray you get your win.

I knew 4 or 13 was admirer in that second game and were in a relationship, it became especially apparent when 13 asked 1 to be on 4

I have been seeing that over and over in recent games. A random role claiming ti when they are not ti. Ive had a seer pretend to be a tp without posting any info at all. An admirer pretending to be a sheriff and getting random people lynched (and never admired), and a vigi claiming psy for absolutely no reason... Like why.

I once had a game where a Marshal claimed seer and said two ppl were enemies. One of those players was deputy shot the other, who was also town. So everyone looks suspiciously at the “seer” until they were forced to tribunal in which we hung another townie… yeah safe to say town didn’t win that one

I've seen the problem with townies fake claiming a lot recently, and unless they are tpow, it usually ends in failure, town can be quite selfish sometimes.

Seeing myself in Pipe video is weird. The monarch was weird, but the shroud confirmed them later.

You wanted to know something funny. I had it last time asking for TP chain. Don't ask me how but for some reason they put me as confirmed TP. Jester have that kind of weird magic to become confirmed does not matter what. only thing that ruined my run it was to the time where reconnections was not enabled..... and i got disconnected :(

Fake Sheriff is the best TI in the game

so i've been watching TOS2 videos for a couple weeks now, and understand how the game works, but i just cannot for the life of me figure out why neutrals (other than doom maybe) straight up reveal their role to town like that. isn't the goal for Shroud, SK or WW to have everyone else dead? in which case just claiming that role 100% puts a target on your head.

It doesn't work in his favor though. Giving an evil more votes harms town. They can get people guiltied or innoed. It's as simple as some townies being stupid + evils voting. Like imagine 10 people, an evil makes a desperate play to push a basically confirmed guy. But there's 2 stupid townies and a confused 1. So then you have 2 guilties, 1 abstained + 2 guilties from the knighted evil and +1 from the desperate evil. That's 5 guilties and an abstained, even if there's 5 smart townies (as in 8 town, 2 evil). And don't just ignore the stupid townies. Like the tav fake claiming sheriff. Like Pipe said, that probably only works 1/10 of the time. It's a stupid play.

Spoiler Shield 🛡 got roleblocked I can applaud that rit. Till the very end they had a shot. I would have said it was coroner who was fake saying of course the rit would be searching and biding his time till there were only 4 and then get a mislynch. Still overall the pest giving up made some sense.
