They just gotta remove invincibility off Jutsu’s💀. Crazy how you can BOUNCE off of them when approaching instead of interrupting them during start up.

I like how the game is now, every character can be good and you don’t have to only pick specific characters. Against skilled players it’s timing. Spam is strong but against skilled players it’s about timing. You’ll get baited. A lot of ppl don’t know, you can switch characters while he’s throwing clones and it’ll make him aim for the previous one like in storm 4

Gloku you can’t just cry about everything in the game without first trying to adapt. You mentioned Baryon Naruto wouldn’t be good because of the “massive draw back with his awakening” when in reality you can just swap him out when he gets into his exhausted state. I think you should play the game more and realize there are several ways around this overblown “assist character problem”. That being said some assists like Ashura’s are dumb. That I can agree with.

I wonder, making the long tilts of old into assists was bound to be crazy. But luckily it’s not as crazy as it could be. Storm 4 made teammate switching CRAZY POWERFUL. So I need more experience to see if stronger support justus are better than infinite free chakra dashes + some tech.

The combos get scaled and subs regenerate throughout the round. You don’t need an extra 2 subs with armor constantly interrupting and saving your ass too. On top of that you have the ability to counter with zero drawbacks from the game itself.

I agree that the armor on assists can be very annoying especially with certain characters, y'all know the ones. But what's more annoying is how much weaker the guard is in this game. The guard should be stronger since assists are also much stronger in this game

I love team fights, but this is why my best friend primarily only does 1v1 (also cause I wreck him in teams and he can't keep up with all the defensive options team members bring in)

Storm 4 had the assists pretty balanced. They need to buff the guard if they are gonna keep these type of assists.

rock lee has good backflip assist that hits so many times

They definitely need to increase guard strength and adjust invisibility frames. If anything, it should be limited to the moment of contact for close-range attacks and only frontal invisibility for projectile types. Also they got to adjust the rebound time to 3 seconds max. Waiting for my opponent to finish 3 or 4 juggle combos until I can flip gets ridiculous.

I think it would be fun to have a way to fight without supports while the opponent has 1 or 2 of them. like back in tekken tag-team tournament when you can fight alone, with more health, against a person with a partner

I really don't understand why people still consider Storm a game suitable for competitive play. You can build a competitive scene around it? Sure, but it clearly was not made with this prospective in mind. Since the structure of Connections is similar to the other Storm games, you can't expect it suddenly has the structure of a competitive fighting game. And the problem is also from CC2 part: if they wanted to make a Naruto competitive fighting games, they should have make one from scratch.

Storm was never going to be competitive because it’s ALWAYS been unbalanced 😂. Without even going into detail the GRABS alone kill any competitive nature this game would ever have. People just play it “competitively” for fun.

I agree it will never be, it rewards scrub play like no one else.

It feels like the more anime games become the norm, the more they seem to be geared towards rank or competitive players, not that there’s anything wrong with that, but does no one not care for character customization? And no, I’m not talking about making the characters look cute with the accessories, but for all different Variants of the Same character to share Ninjutsu, Ultimates, any Team Ultimates, and Outfits. I don’t understand why Jutsu are once again tied to a specific variant instead of them being customizable within all Variants of the same character for more variety, that also includes old tilts that are now ninjutsu. Since most of ‘The Last’ and ‘Boruto’ versions are reskins of their Shippuden forms, they should be able to use any jutsu from both their Shippuden and Part 1. Lastly any Ultimates, ninjutsu, and Versions of characters from Storm 1 that didn’t return, to also have been added in Connections.

I would say it's all in how u use your assist and that depends on if u have six subs but I just adjust too it and I'm likey it

I feels like 2 man teams need support cooldown cut in half, or something drastic like that to make 2 man teams at least not such a massive loss to the 3 man teams. Sure, you have 2 less support jutsus to call from, but it'd be nice to have the support be quicker. That way if you have 1 support you really like, you can throw it out more often at the cost of your second support character

Nah supports are def needed. As a new player to this game I can speak to getting comboed infinitely into oblivion every single god damn match. There actually should be MORE ways to get out of pressure as it is right now

That naruto clone support needs to go there is no reason for a support to have so much tracking, range, and stagger effects for a long period of time. Your just forced sub use your weak guard. An easy fix is to remove the tracking or stagger effect. Asura supports problem is mostly his compared to other supports and his jutsu forces you in to the air easily making you open for a combo. Just remove his . Other supports are manageable but those two need some nerfs

My pet peeve is how people call it armor when it's literally just straight up invincibility. When someone hears armor in fgc, they hear the opponent will do the move but will tkae damge, thats not what's happening here

I think for assists the only nerf needed is if you sub their jutsu, it "deactivates" so it cant hit you again. So Ashura support might be invincible on cast, but once you've subbed the initial hit you cant be hit by the 2-3 extra hits. Similar to naruto clone assists, you sub one clone, the rest just dont apply

@@extremeconquerors729 I agree that the shouldn’t have super armor, but there are ways to get around assists, leader switching, grabbing, jutus canceling with a cutscene(chidori), and even canceling using a jutsu with armor. I get the frustration especially when there seems like there’s no solution, but there are solutions that you can continue the combo with.

You can literally get ur health 50%to 80% gone if you can’t use ur support while your subs are gone , STORM IS NOT LIKE COMPETITIVE FIGHTING GAMES .

The assist are good bro . If you let a combo just go even with scaling you’ll take a bunch of damage and like everyone has notice jutsu are stronger and gaurd is weaker. Having an assist that can stop a combo helps and subs take way longer to come back now as well .

If you want to stop someone from using an assist to stop a combo, leader switch right when your character gets hit by the assist. It should continue the combo. Assist are not a problem if you find ways to counter them.

This is irrelevant because it doesn’t work in the air and on top of that some assist armor through the switch. Also what if I can’t switch bc I don’t have the assist available??? I’m the one get punished for making my opponent waste his subs? Makes no sense. On top of that, most ppl are running assist that can be called in the air and knock you out your combo

@@extremeconquerors729 I would say avoid the air game if you know they’re gonna assist. If you learn switch tech, you can avoid being out of assist (at the cost of leader switching). Also this game is too fresh for me to know all of the solutions but I hope it helps.

I get what you’re saying, but if you keep falling for something multiple times in a match then that’s more on you not being able to adapt and change up how you’re playing to deal with it. And I’m only saying this because I keep swapping my teams every match I get into just to get a feel for everyone and I keep noticing the same exact characters. I would argue the shuriken stun lock is a bigger issue than the supports being strong. The stun lock stops you from playing at all- EVERYONE has access to assist so you can choose to pick stronger ones or not.

I def agree this game did not need more defensive options. Now even if your opponent has no subs it can still be hard to apporach. These jutsu are basically dps now and honestly should require more chakra to use. Supports are combo breakers. Theres some awakenings that are competely busted and near impossible to defend against. These changes enable players in the worst ways.

They just need to get rid of the invisibility really. I think that’s the real problem in this game because I can’t count how many times I’ve lost to someone because they use chidori and I ran into it. But other than that I don’t see a problem.

I feel like there's a way they could give them some armor so they don't get clipped on some awkward hit, but at the same time not make it complete invincibility if that's how it works now. You're talking about support nerfs, but the most important things are irrelevant to you. First and foremost, we need to nerf the cast time of jutsu like Rasengan and Chidori - we have too many spammers, and the animation of these jutsu adds to the frustration, and most characters don't have it - it should be reserved for ults only! Amaterasu Indra is too OP - even after taking damage, it still activates. The attack speed of some characters and their ability to counter is still a problem - does Naruto have his Neji jutsu in auto-attacks? That's a joke. People who play these characters simply lack skill - and there are many more problems.

Characters from Boruto are much faster and more OP. The range across the entire map for Kawaki's and Naruto's skills even pierce through puppets and deal damage. There's no way to counter long combos. How is it possible to attack a character normally lying down - in the case of, for example, Sakura's skill when she's in the air and makes a downward strike, it makes sense....

How can you play with anyone that doesn't have blue bars? Yellow is very hard to play properly with, it mostly ends up as a match of who-can-sneak-ninjutsus-the-most.

If cc2 has time, they can at least change the movesets for the adult konoha 12 like make the characters that have another character sleect different from the others so the character roster isnt so messy. Man you know how fun it would be if we had a complete roster that everyone has dofferent movesets. And you hit us with a create your own character would be awesome ive been hearings leaks for dlc 2hich isnt syrprising like the supports that were in generations now being playable characters like how darui was i cant wait. Assists were always useless in previous games and now that it's good you want them to be nerfed? Wtf! Another reason for needing assists is because the defense is very short-lived, so assists are a main help.

Strong support is miles above better then switch fest

Assist in narutimate accel 2 community is banned in tournaments and casual. We play 1v1 to apply fundamentals, rather than spamming assist unlimited smashing button, smash assist smash assist 😆.

I don’t think they should nerf assists again, I think they should nerf subs to balance out defense game with the imo necessary buffs to assists. I still think the old Pre-Storm 3 sub system was what made the most sense for the mechanic and assists worked a similar way where it was heavy on tight timing and utility. What they’ve practically done with assists now is buff them the same way that they buffed subs- the window for usage becomes MUCH more gracious and easier to use. The defensive game gets easier do to a lowered skill floor but a higher skill ceiling. In some ways, it’s a good buff when you look at it that way but because both assists and subs have been buffed this way, defense has become SOO much stronger despite the weaker guards(also a necessary change because guards felt TOO strong before. It was RARE for a normal guard break to happen in any of my matches in prior storm games. I think if subs get nerfed and we accept the assist buff it could be an acceptable alteration

kawaki is in no means "slept on" just fight the spammers online and you'll see what assists they bring to their team, Kawaki is on the bingo list, among tobi, pain, rasengans, chidoris, kamui/teleportation

Definitely disagree, assist should always be able to hop in durring being hit by combos. Some, if not most can also be stopped and caught up in being comboed by the enemy as well. Plus supports can counter supports and even help guard against crazy jutsus from multiple attacks As for invincibility on summon. I only notice few like Momoshiki for example, whos jutsus always manage to land. Also remember new modes are coming. So single, and doubles I'm sure will be available once more. Also because of the new system. I love we can have essentially 6 jutsus to use and rotate. Especially since some characters are amazing imo for both close and distance. That way if need be, if an enemy is too much of a runner. You can likely catch them with support then close in. Lastly, seeing Hashirama also use the giant shuriken like the 3rd does makes for a good double I feel... Like using Pain, Nagato and The Last for Almighty Push x3 Or using Mitsuki and Shisui for their similar dashing slice attacks

I dont think its that bad. Considering air combos render most assist unusable. Even if someone disrupts you in the air, they are usually still down one assist and all subs. Only change I'd want is to get rid of assist having 2 moves each abd just let us select the moves.

also bro, look at your support gauge, it insta fills sometimes randomly there are times where your support will be out doing an attack and be instantly ready as you are dashing to take advantage of the advantage they just gave you. im telling you just pay attention your supports will be out attack and then be usuable again before you even chakra dash. idk what causes it nor does the game mention any mechanics that will instantly refil support gauge.. its a bug, supports are bugged. you know whats even more alarming? this is game number 8 not a single one of those 8 games ever had a balancing patch... not 1.

Each assist having 2 jutsu is weird. I feel like you should have to pick the jutsu on a 3 man team and on a 2 man team have both jutsu options

Ion care what no one says, Assist OP ASF!!! I consider myself an above decent player that can juggle switch tech and use frames to beat my opponent. I’ve played every storm game that’s been released and the amount of spam is ridiculous and players are rewarded for spamming. This is the worst online state storm has ever been in. There’s no variety in ranked y’all in the these comments need to stop the cap. It be the same ass teams on rank. One of two things needs to happen mechanic wise. Guards need a major buff if assist can be called while the opponent is being hit and some have fckn supper armor OR get rid of super armor and nerf assist by not being able to call them while being hit. I can’t tell you how many people just run until they have their assist and then call assist with super armor that also have heavy tracking to lock down an opponent and after a few hits my guard is broken. And not only does these have crazy ass tracking and super armor they are multiple hitting assist at that and if you don’t want your guard broken you are force to spend hella subs due to the assist being on your ass and the other player. When you finally catch the jutsu spamming jump shuriken rat in a combo with no subs their assist can grant them basically an extra sub by knocking out of the combo. For all you mfs saying “bro just switch or chakra dash” that shit is inconsistent and doesn’t work all the time. Countering also needs a fat ass nerf, Countering having zero draw backs is the next dumbest mechanic within the game. Decrease the chakra bar and punish ppl who try to abuse to run away and rely on strong assist to comeback and have that mixed in with their ass connection. Guard is way TOO weak for the amount things there is to block now idc what none of yall say that’s a fact. Guard being weak when there more things to block, STRONGER things to block makes zero sense from a competitive standpoint. All you mfs getting on Globku who was speaking facts are prolly the same ppl who run jigen with pain or hinata and the multi shadow clone naruto assist. Just to give an idea of where my skill is with the game im a rank above jonin atm. But they need to patch this and add more features. How tf does previous storm titles have more online features?! Mfs be dick riding storm like it has no flaws, ima call that shit out. The game is going to die if it stays where it is FAST. CC2 give us the updates and give us the rest of the game we paid for and not this $30 cookie cutter worth of content

you know what even more busted? mitsuki awakened cannot be interrupted at all by anything. the snakes he attacks with block his body 360 while he is attacking. alot of these "mechanics" are bugs and we cant forget cc2's track record even though they gave us a new game. 1 frame start ups need to end and uninterruptable jutsu also need to stop. makes the game unenjoyable because whats the counter? to not attack and run away? in an anime fighter the best strat is to not fight.

Just play singles. Teams have always been for people who don't know how to manage their subs and chakra so they run away while air blocking and calling their supports. In connections the supports- what? They what? Oh nevermind. Connections removed singles battles from the game entirely along with lobbies. Rip. Deal with support assist cheapness I guess. Damn.

I think you’re overstating it a bit- Subs go by really fast, especially now that everyone is trying to use shuriken to stun lock you from gaining distance, which I would argue is a bigger topic of discussion. Connections is a faster more aggressive game, guards break faster, chakra charges by itself, there’s nothing wrong with supports being this strong. That’s almost always been a case with like Hidan or Hanabi stun locking and sub baiting. But the Shuriken stun lock strategy is actually annoying and it stops people from being able to play the game. Supports having a couple frames of invulnerability isn’t a problem because it causes players to respect someone else’s assist and think about how to push- Invincible frames on certain Jutsu IS a problem. There’s no reason that Chidori should have an invincible start up that can lead into a combo- That’s fucking insane. There’s a bunch of jutsu that do that now and they’re basically like wake up attacks but they completely kill any momentum. And btw Globku, I really appreciate you pointing out problems with fighting games and stuff because that’s how news gets around and the developers get a faster heads up But you’re aware by pointing out issues you’re also kinda…making certain exploits or gameplay styles more…common? By pointing stuff out a lot of the not so good players are just gonna start doing it and it makes the whole pool a little more toxic and not fun. Kinda like with that my hero game.
