for your pencil, it's likely that you've dropped it a few times, or fidget with tapping etc and broke the lead on the inside. For artists this is super important to avoid doing because it causes breaks during sharpening. Same thing for dropping gel pens, it can form bubbles in the liquid and those bubbles cause them to dry out, even if they look full. So if you have high quality drawing supplies keep them somewhere safe/drop proof!

How do I sharpen pastel pencils then? My Derwent pencils always break, each of them. I didn't drop them and I am using their own sharpener. Derwent is expensive as heck, so I expect them to deliver top quality every time.

  • @ScarletHeather76

You definitely started with a pencil problem. The lead is all broken throughout the pencil. Rough handling, dropping, and sometimes aggressive grips like mine can break the lead. After that, I'm guessing the blade in the sharpener shifted. tightening that screw should solve it.

Also older pencils can end up with more fragile lead. There us a way that pencils can be cautiously lightly put in the oven to help solidify the lead. Not sure how, but i did a bit of research when my pencil crayons kept breaking.

  • @Xanthelei

That definitely explains why my brand new cheap-but-cool-looking pencils always ended up with broken lead as a kid. They'd go in a soft pencil case and wind up at the bottom of my bag, to be slammed around, dropped from my shoulder after school, and have books piled on top of them! I do know from experience that soft wood pencils can quickly dull a sharpener, and that Crayola pencil looked like a soft wood based on how it peeled as it was sharpened. Usually you can remove the blade and a few quick passes on any kind of a whetstone will bring the blades back. (The benefits of having a meat cutter dad, he saved a few pencil sharpener blades for me with his knife sharpening tools!)

And from what I could see it didn't look like the sharpener would fall once inside the fridge, if you drop it and it breaks that is literally on you.

OK so. A lot of people put calendars on the refrigerator that’s why the sticky notes look like a calendar and why their were 12 of them - 12 months in a year. The stripy pencil was supposed to be a straw sticking out of the bag. The “random“ stickers were supposed to represent magnets for the refrigerator, I assume.

I often think this as well. As a parent of two young girls, they would probably love all aspects of this fridge and want to use it as a doll house fridge for their dolls and stuff tiny food in it. They also love collecting the tiny backpacks with little stationaries in them. As adults, we often see the quality vs cost aspect of things, but our kids enjoy these cheap plastic toys on their own level. If I know something is going to be too gimmicky and overpriced and they will play with it for one day and move on, I try to discourage them from asking for it lol.

I understand that the pencils in these sets are small because it's part of the appeal of them. However, the size/length of the pencils is the exact same as when I typically throw pencils away 😅. In regards to the pencils that kept breaking, I don't know if it's from the sharpener or not. I know that if you've ever dropped your pencils before it shatters the graphite inside, which can lead to breakage. But maybe it could also be caused by a crappy sharpener, I'm not sure though🤷

So, I think I know what's wrong with the sharpener? Essentially they didn't use a good enough quality screw or plastic. When the screw starts to loosen in a sharpener, the shavings start to look the same that they did in the video. Basically what's happening is that the screw loosened too much to be able to sharpen the pencil. You can fix it by screwing it in more, but it'll end up coming undone again because the plastic isn't strong enough to hold it. I think it probably happened because of the sharpener being moved into the fridge, because you can't put the same amount of pressure to hold it as you were before it went inside.

When you drop pencils or tap them on the edge of something or use them to sword fight, the lead inside gets broken into small bits. Small bits of lead will fall out of the pencil easily. I've always thought the lead breaking thing was a pencil issue, same for the 'doesn't want to sharpen' thing you ran into with the Crayola pencil. I've always had it happen with cheaper pencils but not the Ticonderoga pencils we were always told to get by school growing up. For the lead, I'm pretty sure it's just a more brittle formulation used, and for the sharpening, it's DEFINITELY a softer wood used. Some of the best pencils out there use remarkably hard wood which in turn doesn't dull the razor in a sharpener - which I think is what happened to yours! But I mean, it's Crayola, of course they'd go the cheap route. xD

The “ice cream” you saw in the fridge was probably yogurt❤Also the whole problem with the pencil tip breaking is caused by the pencil was handled to roughly by shipping or someone and the led inside the pencil snapped so whenever you sharpen it, then led falls out. And as far as it goes, the sharpener was probably cheap quality and just broke. Keep up the great content❤

Didn't seem like the dimensions of your pencils were wrong... But! The one you tried before the crayola pencil was probably dropped a couple times too much or was stuck in a busy bag. There's definitely something wrong with the first pencil you tried once the sharpener was inside the fridge. Leads in pencils can be quite fragile and if you drop or rough handle them it breaks which means the lead falls out like it was doing. That's why I use mechanical pencils because I handle mine rather roughly so. . .😅 But yea, definitely something wrong with the sharpener. I'm beginning to wonder if the screw is lose and that's why it's not sharpening anymore. And so far I only like the luggage when it comes to these larger items.

I'm on an Alexa Show commenting on these thumbnails because it's like enough, these reaction facial expressions are just too much! Question: why do/does you/she use such angry faces? I've been watching this YT channel for at least a year and I used to just let it pass, like oh it's just Jackie being uncomfortable with herself and not knowing what to use, or not wanting to use a normal reaction picture because one time she put a shocked angry look and the vid got lots more views than the one that didnt(my guess). Clickbait? Probably yes, but then if she hadn't used the shock face I most likely would've just watched. Regardless I love watching

I honestly like the concept of the fridges, however, what I would change is the door itself could be metal and the body of the fridge could be a high-quality plastic. that way one of the surprises could be cute magnets that way all the paper related surprises Basically, a little notepad, and all that fun stuff could be stick dawn to the fridge with the magnets As for the sharpener rather than one singular can, it could be like a pack of soda that way it could be a little bulkier, that way the thick plastic could be a lot stronger, because normally plastic sharpeners break really easily. However, if it’s big and bulky, it should last a little longer and sharpen a little better. For the orange juice pen I feel like it should’ve been more fun having the pan having it be one of those liquid pens so it could be like almost like a little fidget thing, watching the liquid going up and down, maybe have a little sparks of glitter, to make it even more fun. Have a celery and a carrot as other pens too 💅🏻 -Orange juice: red ink -Carrot: black -Celery: blue I think the tape dispenser is really cute but I really feel like it should include more tapes so you can put it down into a drawer somewhere into the fridge, there should be like a little extra storage at the bottom of the fridge that way you can put the extra things in there. Notepads, pencils, extra tapes. In the freezer I think it would be really cute if there’s a little drawer having at least 10 different color thin small markers, making it look like Freezy’s The carton of milk could be a glue, a little glue stick , have the top part as the cap taking it off, and at the bottom is a little twister. And then, as erasers, it could be like some vegetables and fruits(cabbage, corn, eggplant, cucumber, apple, pineapple, etc.) that are included in the fridge so than the erasers can actually be somewhat big enough to erase. the eggs are cute, but I feel like they’re too small. However, when I can get behind is if there’s a whole egg carton that is fully a eraser, but it’s one of those erasers that you can take apart, so when it opens, it reveals the little eggs for tiny erasing. Have a couple of litres of soda shaped items as like highlighters . (yellow, green, pink) Have a little package of meat as a little sticky bookmark tag, the meat itself is the little sticky tag, and it can come with a white plate type holder, but also has a small transparent bag to make it look like package meat. These are just ideas that i came up with on the spot. The fridge has so much potential, but it failed so miserably with less effort. Paying $20 for that is a crime - I honestly rather pay much more for more effort. I came up with these ideas, so then the fridge can actually seem more full and act like a fridge rather than like empty and have just the fridge decorated with sticker wallpaper, making it seem full when it really is just cheap all together.

Cute idea, but not executed well. It would be cool if they offered some smaller blindbag sets that would fit into the fridge so that the fridge can be fuller. They can ditch the hokey background stickers, or just make the stickers look like empty shelves. I mean, I would LOVE two whole cakes in my fridge, but lets include some veggies and meats in there too.
