They Made PLANET-SHIPS?! | HFY Stories

Summary:
In a distant future, the Cosmic Alliance faces its greatest threat from the Zorblaxians, a race devoted to warfare and destruction. After a long and devastating conflict that pushed the cosmos into chaos and saw the defeat of the Zorblaxian supreme ruler, some survivors flee into uncharted space, pursued by the alliance. During this relentless chase, Grand Admiral Thalric, leading the coalition's fleet, encounters a mysterious signal from an unknown fleet, marking the first contact with humans.
Initially mistaking the humans for another Zorblaxian threat, the Admiral quickly realizes they are dealing with a vastly different civilization. The humans, emerging from a victorious defense against a Zorblaxian attack, have leveraged the alien technology to advance rapidly, deploying scout fleets to find the alliance that had long opposed their Zorblaxian aggressors. Their technology and military might, initially perceived as modest, shock Thalric with their true scale and ambition, revealing a civilization with the capability to harness stellar energy, terraform planets, and conceptualize planet-ships - converting planets into fortified megastructures.
The human's approach to warfare and civilization development, emphasizing efficiency, automation, and scale, vastly exceeds the alliance's understanding and capabilities, positioning humans as a potentially dominant force in the galaxy. The story concludes with Thalric's realization of the unprecedented challenge humans represent, not just as a military power but as a catalyst for a fundamental shift in galactic power dynamics, diplomacy, and survival strategies.

2:50 I wish to point out for any writers, that any system that can receive signals is ALREADY open to a vector of EW assault. Opening communication just opens you to communication.

If this was written by AL, the AI should be tortured with a magnet. If it was written by a human, then they need to read how good dialog that can be followed is written. For most of the dialog between the two main characters, I had no clue who was talking. Can't give this a thumbs up, but it isn't so bad as to warrant a thumbs down.

If this was written by AI? If? Every last one of these corny HFY channels is a total robochannel: written by AI, read by AI, and even illustrated by AI. There may also be an AI answering our comments.

@@josephwisniewski3673 I read several SciFi story subreddits, and more than a few of them have reported AI youtube accounts stealing stories without permission. Some youtube accounts have the authors' permissions, and they tend to credit and link the original author in the vid description. Some of the thief accts just copy paste into a text to speech program, but more and more are using AI to slightly re-word and re-write existing works to make it harder to find plaigarised stories. Personally, anytime I see a story recommended on YT, I always check the description first. If they link the original story on reddit or wherever it's from, i'll give it a listen. If, like this one, they not only DON'T link the original, but actually try to claim it as an original of their own? I check comments briefly for any extra info, then immediately downvote and leave it.

this remind me when i was in my 20s in 1980s that i've been drawing Mega-Ship and satelite structure. Imaging putting 6 earth on one side of sillo that resemble as Battlestar Galactica. i'm now 62 yrs old. With all my drawing i could made an story way bigger then Marvel Avengers i've start making my own story as scenario's with characters i've been drawing since 1990s, this kind of project would help ''all walk of lifes'' to dream the impossible of exploration like an ''Holodeck 4 Dimensional Reality''

This needed distinct voices. It was really hard to tell who was talking. And why would they give that much information during first contact? Why are the humans describing themselves as rather primitive when they should have information on the other species from those bad aliens and are very obviously more advanced?

I suspect this was likely human written, the art scraped or AI derived. The writing is pretty bad, and out of sync with the supposed "I am an avid science fiction reader". Though maybe a lot of bad r/HFY. Focus is wrong, I'm with the others, set this channel to "do not recommend." Find another who actually took the time to read aloud and select good stories.
