I don't agree. On console, there is no other way to get different skins or mods. I think they belong in the market place just as much as this even if they are much worse.

I just played this map and got softlocked after a witch became invincible somehow making it impossible to progress. Aside from that, it’s a very well made map.

Once you guys finish this project it would be really cool to have a StarDew Valley inspired game in Minecraft using this Art style and "Engine" sort of.

I think minecraft realised long ago that to guarantee their survival as a brand, they need to become a platform for other games. Someday there will be no more room for vanilla minecraft updates without it becoming too hard to develop.

If they realized this, realms and marketplace worlds would be free. Cosmetics are fine, but at least let me play the game. For a free game that would be bad enough, not letting you have all the content, but this is a $25 game. There is no reason Mojang can't do this and Epic Games can. Minecraft is one of the best selling games ever

It’s more that at some point, everyone who wants to play Minecraft will have already bought Minecraft. The expectation of indefinite free updates is simply unsustainable, there were basically 3 possible options: 1. Stop updating the game 2. Start charging for updates as DLC 3. Monetize with microtransactions to subsidize the cost of making free updates accessible to everyone who owns the game Obviously they chose 3, which regardless how you feel about microtransactions is the smartest financial decision of the available options.

Political economics should be a required class.

An official Minecraft Roguelike just like this would be so sick. This just needs to have refined aiming and it’s solid

the combat can be fixed if they just unbind the direction the character is facing with the direction that the character is moving or just add backwards movement

Toycat. heres a quick dungeion runner tip. If an item is a buff then you want it, unless the item trades a stat for another stat, then thats up to your discretion. In ANY dungeon runner game ALL buffs will help you somewhat and when you get to later stages you will be glad that you picked up every buff you can. I'd reccomend you try the game Turnip Boy Commits Tax Evasion. The story is silly, the art style is great (similar to stardew valley in the same wya this is.), the main campaign has rogue-like elements combined with zelda-like elements and puzzles. the game takes about an hour or two give or take to complete and once you have completed it, there is a free dlc mode called infinite train that is an infinite dungeon runner that uses the same combat you learned throughout the game. It's honestly in my opinion one of the best indie games of this decade.

Bit of a fun fact, Minecraft Legends is actually built off of a modified version of Minecraft Bedrock

not quite bedrock itself, but the bedrock engine, essentially minecraft bedrock is completely separate from the engine itself and the engine can be used separately

In my opinion Minecraft has always been some type of game engine but no one really bothers to make games this high quality. Reminds me of the nerf world map

When they released the latest version of the camera, my first thought was that it would enable a Legend of Zelda type experience to be built inside of Minecraft. This map/mod totally reminds me of Legend of Zelda (which is still one of my all-time favorite games).

Looks great, but they need to figure out a way to make it function more like a twin stick shooter, having to stop to aim seems like a pain in the ass and it's probably the main reason people die lol. Also the items that drop should collect automatically. Small issues but this is really cool. I wish this was a texture pack.

The best part is that if you own PC and mobile bedrock you could make stuff like this by creating custom bedrock mods and using the built in bedrock world editor to make the worlds, although the bedrock editor is exclusive to the pc bedrock version.

hey toycat! Theres actually a Minecraft server which has used minecraft as an engine to make an entire mmorpg, it's called wynncraft

Unlike lots of other content on the marketplace, this seems highly polished

I find this map adorable. Reminds me of Legend of Zelda but still it's a unique take on dungeon style games.

I always wonder what these very customized maps looks like without all the texture packs and behavior packs applied. And how broken it is without them.

I’m willing to bet there would be no characters, you can’t move/interact with anything, and half the map would be “update” blocks in this case

It reminds me of journey of the Prairie King in Stardew Valley

Legends take like 7 Gb of memory. Bedrock is ony 1.5Gb. the game will be too big for nothing.

While in theory it could work as a DLC (this won’t add to storage), it’ll never happen because different companies made those games and I seriously doubt Mojang has the competence to do so seeing how they handled bedrock. It would give so much work to the Mobile team to port it and optimize it, while the console team (particularly switch and PlayStation) really need to focus their efforts on optimizing as well as YJ studios did.

Good idea but I do not agree to make as mode on Minecraft. It should be a downloadable mode like what they did to misic before to save MB and avoid hard installing.

Octovon put even more effort into this map than Blackbird interactive did with the hole Minecraft Legends game. How hilarious 😅😂 Reached Dungeon No. 31 by now and still alive. This thing is extremely addictive

Minecraft Dungeons actually did a procedural mode like this. It's the Tower and it changes run to run.

Scripting in Minecraft bedrock is surprisingly powerful except that the way to interact with things needs to be done by pressing sneak. Years ago java was promised a modding API like this but instead bedrock got it and java got nothing
