Honestly it seems like they’re pulling from all corners from the Nasuverse now, wouldn’t be surprised if a character from Fire Girl or Canaan gets dragged into FGO.

Is Fire Girl even canon to the main nasuverse? As far as I'm aware it's entirely Meteo's project, and Nasu only helped a bit with the general structure of the storyline.

Unless your introduction to type moon is carnival phantasm (which is how I get in this rabbit hole)

Tbh they are one of the most obscure type-moon characters and when they said that they are an pseudo-servant, I wondered who is that character because even though they appeared in carnival phantasm, they were overshadowed by the fate and tsukihime cast and other characters too. In short I am happy to meet 2 new type-moon characters, but those 2 are so obscure that even watching carnival phantasm again I will not remember those

They are the two main characters of Mahoutsukai no Hako, a bunch of drama CDs that go in detail over the adventures of magical girl Triten, the personified version of Caubac's replica universe.

For a hot few seconds I thought FGO was collabing with other franchises. Then I remembered that this is FGO and such was not just blasphemy but would also bankrupt them(in their minds at least).

Wow, if it wasn't for the Tsukihime Remake referencing this series(particularly Hibiki's "grandfather"), I would've forgotten about it completely.

I mean pretty sure they were from the OVA, which were two 12 minutes episodes focusing on mainly hollow ataraxia casts. I’ve just watched it like 1 month ago and I nearly completely forgot about them lol

They are both protagonists of Hibichika Time and Mahōtsukai no Hako. Mahōtsukai no Hako was at first a crossover drama CD series, and Hibichika was about these new characters. With time the series evolved into a type moon work of their own, with its own lore, mysteries, and honestly was a pretty intriguing series. I thought they were pretty much dead, really happy to see them both and Ketai-san again 😭, hope to see news on the series 🛐.
