@@metal_complex I prefer American made myself I don't own one but all the reviews I've seen on them have been 5 star well at least the barracuda and a couple of the other ones. Thanks brother I want to make it to blade show atlanta and try and get an atreus from microtech they are supposed to be selling some at the show they are supposed to have zero blade play like the dead lock does. We will see I guess lol u have a good one buddy and I love ur content I watch it all the time

Every glass breaker on a pocket knife should be removable, to be swapped out with a regular screw that should be included with the knife.

Finally got an update on my order for a Neptune after 43 days. I emailed Maxace and they said it was in customs. I hope it's still in the box when it arrives. The Neptune would be awesome with a carbon fiber inlay.

I can't find availability on this yet. I'm glad they did an aluminum Medusa again. I need this.

I purchased a balisong from Maxace a few weeks ago and was surprised at the high end quality of the blade and handles for under $200. The OTF's are hard to get at the moment, but I'm definitely going to have one (or more) of them in my collection.

The glass breaker is not only a glass breaker but a self defence weapon if you don’t want to stab someone. You can hit them with the glass breaker end. This has been a weapon since at least the 1200s where the pommel of swords and knives was used as a weapon in close quarter combat.

Exactly. I carry OTFS everyday and they are illegal in my state. So if I needed to defend myself I might hit them with the glass breaker first lol

The basic version is now available for $238. I thought about getting one but decided to wait for the Neptune to become available again, so that I can grab another one of those with a "drop point" (tanto really) blade. The dagger version has been amazing for me. I don't like how any of the blade types on Medusa look.

Fun fact the mail has a police department that you can contact.

Had a trm, by far the most expensive knife I've ever bought go missing after paying the import duty. Crossed the Atlantic and couldn't make it the last 15 miles. thanks ups

NimoKnives Slenderman OTF is a 70-100$ contender on the slim/delicate side while you still get high quality mechanics with OK budget D2 blade (would love something different there ofc), I'd say a step below the Neptune (which is still sold out and I still cry about it ahaha). The Medusas are beautiful, but more than 4X the price of the Neptune. Higher quality materials definitely, but also premium knife money. Cheers :)

Medusas in ALUMINIUM handles and titanium/cf inlay costs $230-260, STEEL handles with titanium, zirconium or timascus (and damascus steel) are the ones in $400-850

Yeah my Neptune got here about a week ago. It's beautiful! I noticed that there are many comments about how tough it is to deploy. And I have to admit it does require a little effort to get it done. And full disclosure, I took it apart and put a few tiny dabs of oil in the guides and under the button slide. There wasn't any lubricant inside. If you do, be aware that there is a very small spring just under the button.

Looking on aliexpress the price is $377. What i dont understand is how maxace can make the Neptune for $108 and then this for almost $400. It clearly uses more premium materials, but is it nearly 4 times the value?

International shipping is kind of a crapshoot - a lot more time, steps and people involved. If you read the feedback for Chinese sellers on Amazon, there's A LOT of: "Received an empty box!" "reviews". On a related note, my first Maxace knife has apparently been stuck in customs for over a month now. That knife is pretty cheap. I'd be a lot less calm and patient if I paid the Medusa prices for it. I really hope these knives become available from US distributors.

Thanks for your support to maxace. The international shipments in the first two months were indeed delayed for a long time due to customs inspection. We will pay close attention and urge the freight forwarder to send the local USPS to update the package as soon as it passes the customs inspection. We also have changed the new package to other transportation channel.

Medusa (not this model, the m390 blade), deploying the first times was a pain, but with time it's smoother

Beautiful knife but maxace(at least by their own reporting) are not heat treating their magnacut properly. Hopefully they're just uniformly listing hardness across all steels and the hrc listed isn't accurate
