I never thought that I could ever listen to anyone other than Karen Carpenter sing this, one of my favourite songs. I now know I was wrong. It brought tears to my eyes. Tears of happiness of the memories, loves, and losses of an old man. Such a beautiful rendition. Thank you.

I agree. At 2:44 when she sings Close to You, it sounds just as good as when I heard it decades ago. That part of the song I think is one the greatest parts of any song ever written. Sometimes, I just keep rewinding that part of the song. i could listen to that all day. You can't be sad hearing that kind of music.

Mi amigo, she melts my heart with this one. She knows that she became my favorite singer and took Karen’s place after 50 years, and I have never questioned that decision. Every time she sings, it speaks directly to my heart.

One of my favorite Carpenters songs. You sing it like a young Karen Carpenter. You voice is smooth and silky just like her's.

Forgot to mention as amazing as Karen was on the drums, you are just as amazing on piano. Beautiful playing.

We were only married a year or so when this beautiful song was released by the Carpenters. Karen passed way too young & the world lost an angel but heaven found one. I remember when this song came out as well and we were gifted with the music of the Carpenters. Richard would of been tickled by the singing and playing of piano Emily. It was Karen's Angelic voice and being a drummer is why I was fortunate enough at 63 to be able to resume drum lessons, since 1971 when I stopped. To hear Emily is such a gift at my age performing a cover From Burt.

Completely wonderful. I saw Karen in concert back in the day. This makes her smile ! Sometimes in life we're privileged to see a star born. Emily is one such a blessing.
