It's a strategy like back when Reward Track is implemented in 2020. Make it bad first, then correct it after an outrage to make it seems more 'fair'

No they didn't this is a technique they use in the gaming industry where they implement some insane change and then dial it back to where they originally wanted it so they can look like heroes. They never said they were fully reverting the change

They did it to test how far they could push the players.

This was their basic strategy and it was to create a precedent with outrage, and then slightly weaken it. To make the same change accepted. This is like raising the entrance fee from 10 to 100 euros, and then after the outrage, lowering it to 25. In fact, the entrance fee increased by 2.5 times, but people will accept this change because they think they achieved a price reduction.

Except that the extra XP will remain, so in your example it would be if 1 liter of soda cost 10 euros, then they only sell 2 liters for 100 euros, and after that they keep the 2 liters soda, but now for 25 euros. Indeed, the price is up but the quantity also increased. I do not know the value for the new quest requirements, so until I do I cannot tell if is a net positive or negative still.

New requirements seem to be about twice what they were originally.

I felt so bad for ridiculous hat who you can tell had his hands tied. Not the devs decision, and they put the pain of the people to the top bosses and then they relented. If Bobby and his pals were at the top he’d have said no. Good changes for onxe

to make game better people who created and designed it need to play it at least more than 1 time per each 10 year anniversary

Now they are gonna reduce the requirements by around 30% and still call it a win x)

Thr fact that they're partly reverting a terrible change doesn't mean the result is automatically acceptable. We shouldn't be looking at this as an upgrade/good news unless it's truly better than the original quests, else we're just letting ourselves get manipulated.

Good lol I was literally about to stop playing cuz they know a big chunk of people just buy packs with gold each expansion and even tho they increased it these quests are kind of ridiculous to complete while working full time or going to school full time. They would have lost a lot of players and see a huge spike of bots

If the game was actually good they wouldnt need cheap psychology tactics to keep player retention 🤨

It's not about listening, it's about having malicious intents. If it was made for benefit of the players then increase difficulty 2x and rewards 3x. No? Why not? It's for the good of the payers... I mean players.

People may complain, but hearthstone devs are some of the most caring game developers out there. Even compared to non-Blizzard games.
